Damn crazy speed posting this!! Austin's clearly the best Powerlifter in the world right now. Can't wait to see him win Worlds 2024 and Sheffield 2025. Thanks for this coverage WLM - what Powerlifting needs 👏
Jonnh HAACK
Dots wilks
King
Best Natty close competition with Jesus (i prefer perks due to jesus being way heavier than most opponents too) and in general itd have to be john haack for sure
@@luigiridolfi2800haack doesn’t compete tested. he’s def the goat of untested and it’d be sick to see him come over to IPF sometime
bro is not coming to ipf bruh he would get done
@@cebolla1449
He already won worlds at 23 back in 2016. Been there done that. Was the best in the world and moved on.
And he didn't even go anywhere close to all out in this competition. I'm already gonna make a bold prediction and say Austin will win 2025 Sheffield. His total vs the current total world record is miles away. Hope he doesn't get injured though
Not bold imo. He could genuinely have a money glitch for a couple years with how much higher a total he has than other 74s
Not anywhere near all out is crazy, his final lifts moved like 2nd attempts, with 2 of them actually being 2nd attempts, if he has a great day anytime soon he will definitely beat his own record though
@abhibiju1421 nah the money glitch will dry up because of rondel and Ashton. They can basically play the same game which stops any of them from reliably low rolling like that especially for austin since he'll be lifting before all the other contenders for winning sheffield. He'll make bags forever on the individual lifts though 😅.
I second that
Was already waiting for this video to come. Great work again with these video’s!
bro is breaking the entire sport. a shame we wont see him go all out until sheffield 25
No way he is not winning sheffield right
@@Jamie.0187 High probability he will, if he totals 860 like he said, he'll be almost 9% over the current ipf world record for the weight class, which is high enough to win.
@@LilPigafingers crossed he doesn't get injured
If all goes well…880+ is on the table
@@JoeStanek880 would be fkin insane 😂 i think hell hit 860-870 ish
Jeez man, I weighed in at 74.5 this morning. This lad's outstanding.
That is so gay! This lad is totally outstanding!!
I’m so proud of him and I know you are too. Congratulations!!
Quality content as usual
RPE 7 on bench and deadlifts and still getting this total. Ridiculous
RPE7 would mean he could make it a triple, doubt that with a 205 max bench (touch n go as far as i know) and like 340 deadlift
RPE 9.7 then… sheesh
@@Jamie.0187 lmao RPE 7 means you can do it for 4 reps, not a triple. Also, I was exaggerating and picked RPE 7 to make it obvious. I guess it wasn't as obvious as I thought
rpe 7 is different for everyone, what you're talking about is RIR meaning reps in reserve. RPE is more a quantifiable feeling and how the weight moves subjectively. so for someone with an RPE7 that moves at 0.50m/s, other persons RPE7 could be moving at 0.60m/s. basing it on how many reps in the tank left is not applicable for these compound movements, especially since they require more technical efficiency than let's say a machine chest press where you can really tell you got 3 reps left. with free weights + heavy singles it's hard to say you got 3 reps left because of how many things that can go wrong to make you fail after subsequent reps.@@Jamie.0187
Rpe is rate of 'perceived' exertion so it doesn't necessarily mean he can't do a triple if he grinds his reps. Pana is a great example
Can't wait to see what he does at worlds
Congratulations
Wow awesome strength
Wowwww man... extremely impressed with this video. Also Austin Perkins ain't to bad.
Crazy good edit of this guys
Absolute machine.
Powerlifting is about to start new eras insane witnessing this live
Perkins era
Inspirational 😊😊😊😊
The disrespect, 0.5kg over Taylor’s best total 💀
They are so petty to each other lmao
Taylor better hit the hyperbolic time chamber this year, Perk is trying to obliterate that man when it's time
the reason is sheffield 25, not taylor
@@Andreastheduck what does Sheffield got to do with nationals 💀
@@overlord6815 lol that man is not catching up to Perk
Gifted strength
Best class ever!!!
this kid is absolutely INCREDIBLE
crazy Power an Strength 💪
The greatest

Wow 💕
Wow!
what a fuckin legend
That's the strength I want.
Atwood is done.
Russ swole need to get him on the podcast !!!
This is almost unbelievable! He squatted over 4 times his own body weight!
It will be interesting to see the strategy from Perkins at worlds. Will he do a strategic move and barely beat Bakkelunds world record so he can raise the bar even more at Sheffield 2025?
This guy is very strong for his weight, 100% is gonna break some records.
I wish him the best for the hard work he did to be where he deserved to be.
No hate for this guys that work very hard to accomplish their goals.
Well done SIR Well done. OH IO
Dudes explosive
the ratio legs/upper body 🤣 his legs are HUGE
damn
I wish I would've been taught how to bench like this in highschool. I'm almost 6'4" with long limbs and 285 is the most I ever put up. I guarantee doing it this way, which is apparently the proper way, makes it easier because every time I would lift my ass off the bench for leverage my coach would push me down and said to quit cheating.
His ass stayed on the bench the whole rep
he's referring to HIS ass, the commenter, going up the bench@@gyrozeppeli7296
This isn't the "proper" way. This is how you can lift the most weight, but it's a shit form for training.
@@davorzdralo8000 nah
@@sillyme2598 "nah" what? Literally no one except powerlifters does bench with these weird contorted positions, because it's a movement that it only good for competition.
He’s 74kg? Surely not, I’m 78kg rn and obviously never got close to that.
Is this competition validated for the ipf ?
Yes
Lisan al Gaib!
he looks so big for 74, how tall is he?
4'8
He looks 5ft 7ish to me.
He’s 5’5
Why he didn't do his third atemp in bench and deadlift? He could braking the recod of th 83s easy!
He did break the record already. No reason to go for more. The prize is sheffield.
John Hack is the GOAT.
Mr 74kg....talk and claim yo ish 😤
Russell who????
Russel still the king Orhii
@@Jermaine22294
Your king.... Austin is gonna decimate all records.
The only perk for perk got
Actually way back in the late 70s, a powerlifter by the name of Mike Bridges bacame the first lifter at 165 lbs to squat 700 lbs. He squated 722 lbs for a world record. He also benched 463 for a world resord and deadlifted 650 to give him a WR total of 1,835 lbs. A couple of years earlier in the 148 lb class he had lifts of a 622 squat 402 bench and 585 deadlift for a total of 1609. After he dominated the 165 lb class he moved up to the 181lb class and had best lifts of 836 squat 512 bench and 755 deadlift for a total of 2105 !! His best bench was 529 in another meet and his best deadlift was 771. Before Ed Coan came onto the scene, Mike was considered ( according to then used Shwartz formula) pound for pound the greatest powerlifter of all time. So theres some powerlifting history for yall.
Equipped, not raw 👍
He is 170lbs
What’s he doin to his ears ?!
Tren / test training

RPE 7 TOTAL LOL WTF
Dushane
Surely this guy isn’t natural. Regardless, he’s got elite genetics and work ethic.
Of course he's not natural. Is that even a thing people believe?
finally,74kg almost is American 😂
What's about drugs testing?
That is some great tren. Sheshhh
Lmao cycle hitting hard 💉 💉
so drugs up
Hopefully he doesn’t injure himself with all of his after lift theatrics.
Wouldn’t even get close to that without the suit
powerlifting is gay! congrats to these incredible athletes! Amazing.
