That is so true! It seems that is a trend with community colleges, you are your own advisor.

100%! That was my experience and I feel it’s just the same for any school counselor. They just don’t feasibly have the time for 1-1 attention.

Hey, I'm becoming a male nurse! I'm getting into school here soon for ADN and this is gonna be the first time I'm serious about something in my life. I love watching your videos to motivate me because I don't have anyone else to look up to! Your videos are very helpful.

You really helped me! And motivated me to keep going! And to do something with myself as a man.

That makes me really happy to hear man. I just wanted to create a channel where I help other men in the ways I would have found helpful on my journey of choosing nursing as a career. There aren’t many of us out there. It’s a solid career choice and you’ll thank yourself in a few years. Reach out if you ever need anything! Here or on my insta.

You got this! I appreciate you sharing that. I just like giving back value. If it’s helpful I love that! Congrats on recently graduating! You’ll like the job overall. The LVN gig at county jail looked really chill honestly and from speaking with the LVNs when I was there, they said it was.

@@MaleNurseMentor yea bro I like hearing from male nurses cuz we’re not that many. There was 3 other male students in my cohort and yes I’ve been hearing good things about corrections so I can’t wait to start, I’m currently on orientation.

Yeah that’s a common situation. Crazy how in 2024 it’s still like that. I enjoyed my time in corrections. I left because I really wanted to work from home, otherwise I’d still be there for sure.

This is a great question, it really just depends. Do you like learning about medicine and chemistry (become a pharmacist). Is you like helping patients directly and hands on (become a nurse). Both are great careers. Both make great money. Nursing takes less time.

Many nurses have come here from abroad. I don’t know the work environment in other countries but here in America nursing is a great profession, very stable, many places to work.
