Who else hits the like button before even watching Mary's video? All the thrift store finds turned out amazing. Love ❤ the food cart merry Christmas Mary, Jon and boys.🎄🌲❤🙏 love from sunny 🌞 Portugal 🇵🇹 ❤
Yep. I hit LIKE before watching all my subscription videos. I So want Mary's channel to grow and grow. Soothing voice and music, always creative and wholesome subjects, - makes me smile, no matter the content!
It’s always a pleasure to watch you remake thrifted pieces and I love seeing the countryside where you live. It’s just so lovely. Merry Christmas Mary!
I bet my husband that the trip home we would not be seeing that little spot a bird left for us on Mary’s windshield. I won that bet. Mary, you are treasure yourself. Merry Christmas
On chrome a trick my hubby uses to get rid of any rust spots is to use waded up aluminum foil (if it’s a lot of rust) and then some fine steel wool. It really does work wonders, then you can shine it up with chrome polish. :) We have two of those little carts, but the tops on ours aren’t trays. I love them so much and I really love the green color of yours. Ours are cream and black. :)
So great. I love the way that you give old things new life and purpose. And all in one day! They are all fantastic. You get so much done in your days! Love your videos. Well done. 🥰
A piece of wooden dowel to replace the missing towel bar on the bar cart might be really cute and add back the structure to that part of the cart. Love all your videos!
that's funny I always hit the like 👍 before the video starts. I don't think mary has ever put out a video I didn't throughly enjoy. Merry Christmas to everyone !
The little green cart is so cute!! I love that shade of green too Mary, and the plant table looks amazing with that vine paper🌿just love it! Yes, I too hit that like button often before too, Mary you never disappoint 💚 Merry Christmas 🌲🎅
Loved everything you did! Maybe keep the rolling cart and use it in your plant corner or maybe on your deck this summer holding plants. The tray would come in handy moving items like snacks or lunch from the house to the porch. Want to wish you a wonderful Christmas with your family!
that is called bleed through...it is the tannins seeping through from the wood...when you cleaned the furniture it opened up the pores of the wood and the tannins began releasing from the wood
The funniest part was when you ran up & down the outside steps with the items at a ⚡ fast speed. Golly! you are a speedy little Mover with all the Great projects you get done in a day 🎀😀🤗
My late mother had a metal cart similar to the one you bought. I took it home after we closed up our parent's home after their passing. I use the cart in my pantry. Thanks for stoking my memory of her.
I've always LOOOVED ORIGINAL WOOD FURNITURE... USUALLY CRIIING WHEN I SEE SOMEONE PAINT IT... 😁 But, your painting it has made it ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL !!! 😍😍😍
I don't know what I'm most impressed by, Mary, your makeovers or how you do them and not get paint all over your clothes 😉. Love your finds in this video, especially that cart ❤. Merry Christmas and many blessings to you and your family.
Wow! Quick flips! Very industrious getting them all bought and flipped in one day! They look wonderful! I especially love that fabric you used on the chair!!
Dear Mary, Always love when you thrift shop!!! Gives me ideas of which I would never think of myself. You are so Talented! Merry Christmas to You and your Family!🌸
Mary I love that little table is just as cute as it can be it looks really springy and fresh country looking Croc walls with some Greenery in it be really gorgeous to in a corner he did such a good job I don't think there's anything you can't do whatever you put your mind to your turns out really beautiful God has truly given you a gift I have those gifts also
Mary love all the project. Q: When you recover the seat of the chair shouldn't you remove the old fabric? Who knows what is lurking in it. It may came through the new fabric? Love the cart first, you can always use it outside as a plant stand. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year and thank you for all your hard work. 😇🤩🎄🎄🎄🐨🐨🐨
I must admit that i was astonished you didn't remove that tatty, dirty fabric before recovering. Especially as you will be reselling it. Loved the table
Mary. Your thrift store finds are really great. They look so good after you put your magic on them. Everything you do makes these things look better.. So creative!!
schöne Sachen hast du wieder gemacht. Ich wünsche dir und deiner Familie ein friedvolles Weihnachtsfest und ein gesundes neues Jahr, liebe Grüße Theresa
I will say driving in our Ohio countryside never gets old!! I live in Preble…Your video does make me want to redo my small kitchen table and find either new thrifted chairs or redo the three I have…Tfs, always inspiring how to give old new life!!!
Mary, HOPE U SEE THIS! I have pointers for you! I’m making your white bread recipe today w/ a few changes. I added 1/2 c dried milk, 1/2 cup potato flakes & swapped butter for oil. My husband likes soft, rich potato bread, which costs $4 a loaf. So, I make our sandwich bread using lidded Pullman pans. You will NEVER get air bubbles & have a tight perfect crumb every time if, after you punch the dough down, turn it out & either press it or roll it out into a rectangle the size of both pans, pressing all the air bubbles out, then roll the dough up(like a jelly roll) seal the bottom by pinching the dough together, cut the dough in half, push the rolled ends in then stretch the dough up & around, then seal it keeping the sealed sides down in the pan. No need to put fork holes bc you won’t have trapped air. The crumb will be tight & soft! I always coat the loaf in butter while warm, bc again, my husband is picky about his bread! I live in PA & an Blessed to have an Amish bulk food store where I buy all my bread, pastry flours & supplies. It costs me Pennies & he eats sandwiches for lunch every day. I use a bamboo slice guide too, so my slices are all uniform.
This video inspired my husband and I to visit the Amish country this week! Of course, we made a stop at this thrift store (well, my husband sat in the car while I shopped🤣). My family also lives close to that area. We always enjoy the back roads. Beautiful country! I enjoy your videos and creativity!
Oooh what a great video Mary! I love how you upcycled your thrift store finds in one day! That is something I need to learn to do for the new year, not to leave projects sitting in my craft studio. Merry Christmas 🎄 to you and yours and to everyone here! We are blessed to have the time to watch these wonderful videos Mary and White Cottage Co. put out. 🥰❤️
Mary, I remember having a cart like that except it was yellow when I was a little girl. I can see how you want to keep it. Amazing what you can do with your finds.💕💕💕💕
We moved into a new home 20 years ago and I still miss the vintage rolling kitchen cart that I sold in a yard sale. I had thought I didn't have room in the new house for it. I had it in the kitchen of the old house and I think I was just thinking kitchen, not at the time thinking it could have gone in any room. Love those things..
Good job. That plant stand would make a lovely side table next to couch or chair. Too bad you have to give up that cart. But for those of us who indulge it makes a lovely drinks station. Excellent work
The wall paper on the plant stand looks like the leaves were stenciled on. Turned out nice. Love the green cart. Would love to find one some day. Merry Christmas to you and your family Mary ☺️
I love that green cart. I thought to myself as you walked by it in the thrift store, "Turn around, you got to get that cart." It looked like you missed it. So vintage, pretty and it has a practical use too. I would use it as a beverage cart ; like tea. Rural Ohio is pretty.
My Mom had the exact-same tray-cart in her kitchen, when I was growing up.... though her trays were white. I still have fond memories of it.... though I love the light-green color, too! What a find. Your videos are so inspiring.
I wish we had thrift stores here. Sadly all we have is goodwill. And it never has much. I love the chair and for $2.00 it’s a steal. The plant stand is perfect for spring and summer. Thanks Mary
I love your choices. The older cart was around in the late 40's and 50-60's first I remember them. The bracket you spoke about that was missing, I remember that and the ladies would hang their tea towels or hand towels on there so they were handy when they would wheel it about ......... mom used a tray as such to roll into the laundry room with her iron and starch and pop bottle with the cork and tin lid with holes in it to sprinkle the clothes. Dads ironed and neatly folded dress shirts were on the second shelf. If some one was sick in bed she would perhaps put the steamer on there and take a meal or liquids into their room and wash clothes and towels to give them a bed bath if need be. Fond memories of the old carts. Used for so many different things. I also remember my aunt having one and her heavy appliances like mixer and stand and turkey roaster would be stored on such in the pantry............thanks for the memories. Loved the chair and plant stand as well. The choice of print was darling! Merry Christmas to you and your family!
When I saw the green cart in the thrift store, I yelled 'get it, get it!" Then I didn't see it. But when she pulled it out of the truck, I was like "Yes!!" Someone will be lucky to buy that from your booth! All great projects! lol, I went to your Etsy to look for the candle cups and they were already sold! Within hours of your video posting! That's awesome!.
Everything you do is wonderful and today was no exception. I must say that I fell in love with that green rolling table the moment I saw it and worried that you had not included it in your haul. I was so pleased to see that you brought it home and cleaned it up. I have two of those rolling tables and just love them. I need to find the chrome cleaner that you used to brighten the chrome. Thanks for taking us along on another adventure and sharing your magic with your new finds.
Oh, Mary, you made me miss our Amish Community in Middlefield, Ohio. We would go there to the little shops and I miss the incredible food. I now live in TN and there isn't anything like it here. You found some great items! Love, love, you vids. You are an amazing woman!!
Your staple gun looks really useful! Last summer I bought a staple gun and started using it on a project only to find out it was so big my small hands could hardly work it. I think I'll order the one you use! Great job on the makeovers. It's always fun to watch you make things beautiful, Mary!
I love the plant stand, I have a little stool inmy bathroom that I decoupage for the different seasons but may just use your spring vine permanently!! So happy you love green.😀
Mary you cease to amaze me. I loved the chair makeover. On mine I removed the original seat cover and steam cleaned the cushion since. I love wallpaper and use it to line my cabinets and the best part of that is I can change it with the seasons. Merry Christmas.
I wish I could get things done in fast mode. Watching you carry that furniture up those stairs so fast made me wish that lol. Anyways.......well done. Everything is so pretty.
Oh my!! Love the green cart. So nostalgic, and I'm like you, I love green. When I saw you linger on it in the store, I was hoping you would get it! Also, love your soap drying shelf; another great find. It all looks so nice. Love everything you do. You're amazing! ❤
I loved everything you did. That metal serving cart is adorable. I wouldn’t have given it a second look, probably not even a first look. But you made it look trendy and cute. I thoroughly enjoyed the trip to the thrift store, seeing the rural area I am so glad I stumbled on your channel.
You are amazing. I had my husband watch you redo your laundry room ,now he wants to watch more.It is a joy to watch you. Have a blessed Christmas. Libby from SC.
We bought and old table and chairs with chrome legs. We use steal wool to clean them and then bought chrome paint to redo the legs. It turned out great!
I honestly don't know how you can do all those projects in your kitchen!!! I make too many messes, little droplets of paint would be everywhere!! Good for you!!!
So pretty and creative! I have that cart in yellow and will NEVER get rid of it. I use it during canning season smack dab in the middle of my kitchen. I keep all my canning paraphernalia on it. When Im not using it I roll it out of the way into my pantry. I use large S hooks on the handles for my funnel, jar lifter, measuring cups and spoons, ect.
I love all of you videos. I wanted to tell you that I enjoy when you share your drives with us. Your area strongly resembles where I live in Lancaster, PA. Of course we are also an area with a dense population of Amish and I love it. It’s beautiful.
Mary, this is my first time watching your channel. I am amazed and actually have to go back to re-watch it. Everything is beautiful, but how you transformed the chair & the table is very impressive. Especially how you brought everything home and just got it done!
After re-watching this video, I am very pleasantly inspired and still a bit in awe. Repurposed in a day... same day you bought them! Wow! Beautiful job on everything! And, I love your kitty xoxo
I literally can not resist unique little side tables....I won't even tell you how many I own... I always give them a make over to suit my style (white and distressed of course) some are done and in use some are started and some have been collecting dust for way too long just waiting for me to be inspired and find the perfect place in my house for them. I will continue to buy them too because I have no control when it comes to them. I'm sure you all can relate!
We are always in the mood for whatever you do Mary !!!!! I don’t know why it takes me a week….or a year, to do what you do in a day 😏 I have 3 of those food carts, I got them all at the dump for free 😁 I’ve seen a lot more but they had already been pushed up in the pile and bent up…..why people throw away stuff like that is beyond me 😏 Wishing you and your family and everyone reading a very merry Christmas !!! A KING IS BORN ❤️
When I heard you say that you had made soap, and needed somewhere to let it cure I knew that shelf would be perfect. I too make soap and bath & body products, I had a small home based business untill Covid hit and all the farmers markets, craft shows were shut down. I also had to move this year and now I have no where to make anything, as I am living in a camper for the time being. That shelf will hold several batches of soap for you, and it turned out beautiful. I also just love the plant stand, it's so adorable. Great finds, and beautiful outcomes. Love your work! Merry Christmas!

So great. I love the way that you give old things new life and purpose. And all in one day! They are all fantastic. You get so much done in your days! Love your videos. Well done. 🥰
I loved seeing you pick out things at the thrift store and then immediately seeing what you do with them. Thank you.
You are THE neatest painter- wearing black t-shirt!! Always get good ideas from your makeovers.
A piece of wooden dowel to replace the missing towel bar on the bar cart might be really cute and add back the structure to that part of the cart. Love all your videos!

Your work ethic alone deserves a 👍🏾. My favorite is the green cart.
Love the “plant” table and the chair! It’s good to see that you aren’t afraid to paint (and improve) wood that has lost its luster or is outdated 👍
I've always LOOOVED ORIGINAL WOOD FURNITURE... USUALLY CRIIING WHEN I SEE SOMEONE PAINT IT... 😁 But, your painting it has made it ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL !!! 😍😍😍
Jesus is the reason for the season! Merry Christmas!!❄🎄🕯
That was a lot of work in one day. I was a little worried when I saw you got the vintage green cart, and was so relieved when you didn't paint it!
you have the best music. I could listen allday.
I don't know what I'm most impressed by, Mary, your makeovers or how you do them and not get paint all over your clothes 😉. Love your finds in this video, especially that cart ❤. Merry Christmas and many blessings to you and your family.
I always think this!! 😂😂
Or her furniture and flooring.
To me the cart looks like it's from maybe the mid 50's to very early 60's. Love your finished products.
Wow! Quick flips! Very industrious getting them all bought and flipped in one day! They look wonderful! I especially love that fabric you used on the chair!!
Dear Mary, Always love when you thrift shop!!! Gives me ideas of which I would never think of myself. You are so Talented!

I would have removed or at least steam
cleaned it. The original seat looked pretty gross.

The chair is so beautiful now, love it. We can always use plant stands, like the wallpaper on it. Very nice haul, everything so pretty. Thank you...
I would've absolutely FAINTED if I'd seen that green cart in a thrift store - what a score! SO glad you just cleaned it up and left it green!
Someone has probably already said this, but those top holes, I do believe are to adjust the shelf if you want it right to the top. Loved all this!
Nope. It had a towel bar on it, I have one just like it.
Mary, HOPE U SEE THIS! I have pointers for you! I’m making your white bread recipe today w/ a few changes. I added 1/2 c dried milk, 1/2 cup potato flakes & swapped butter for oil. .I loved all the makeovers, but was really surprised that you didn’t remove the filthy chair cover
My Grandmother had a rolling cart very similar in her kitchen by a window that she used for plants. Love your makeovers.
I love the way the chair turned out.
I love that green cart. I thought to myself as you walked by it in the thrift store, "Turn around, you got to get that cart." It looked like you missed it. So vintage, pretty and it has a practical use too. I would use it as a beverage cart ; like tea. Rural Ohio is pretty.

Such pretty paper for the top of your plant table! Nice use of green rolling cart! Pretty candles, and beautiful chair upholstery job! Great work!
THANK YOU for this creative break from all the holiday 'stuff'. Just put on my calendar: THRIFT STORE HUNT and look forward to that Quiet.
I think what is missing on the cart is for hanging the towel. At least mine has that. Love the make overs.
I’m so happy you got the cart!!! When I saw it in the video I was like “yes”!!!
U make everything so beautiful! I love seeing old chairs trun in to plant stands when they cut hole in the seat !
You are so tidy. I can’t believe how you paint in your house and in nice clothes. I’m so messy I’d have paint all over my floor and on me.

Mary I’d use that cart outside on the patio. It’s so beautiful and functional.
A little bit of Mary magic and those pieces are amazing.
Ooh I love the green tea cart! They come in so handy. Enjoyed all your repurposed pieces. Hard to part with the ones that speak to you, I know.
I wish I could get things done in fast mode. Watching you carry that furniture up those stairs so fast made me wish that lol. Anyways.......well done. Everything is so pretty.

I love the green cart, I’m so glad you didn’t change it! I’ve never seen one that has a removable tray on top.
Love to see the shopping trip videos. You live in such a beautiful part of the country. Absolutely charming.
I love thrift store shopping, I even have my granddaughter into shopping with me
We bought and old table and chairs with chrome legs. We use steal wool to clean them and then bought chrome paint to redo the legs. It turned out great!

I woulda grabbed that green cart so stinkin fast!! Im jealous! 😭😭🤣🤣🤣 Great finds!!
I love the old green cart so much! I was afraid you were going to paint it and was very relieved you didn't it! 😊
Such beautiful landscape, God’s creativity for sure!!!! Love Holmes County Ohio!!!! Merry Christmas Mary and all of your family!!!
That green cart would have been coming home with me!!
We are always in the mood for whatever you do Mary !!!!!
I don’t know why it takes me a week….or a year, to do what you do in a day 😏
I have 3 of those food carts, I got them all at the dump for free 😁 I’ve seen a lot more but they had already been pushed up in the pile and bent up…..why people throw away stuff like that is beyond me 😏
Wishing you and your family and everyone reading a very merry Christmas !!!
A KING IS BORN ❤️
It is heartbreaking to see good stuff being discarded... So much wasted 😣 by people who "don't have time to mess with it"
I'm glad to know you were able to SAVE 3 of them!❣️
When I heard you say that you had made soap, and needed somewhere to let it cure I knew that shelf would be perfect.
