      now get in there Mike. no excuses. I know what you mean though and that's why I love the Tube :) what are you getting behind there for? whats the plan ?

      DENMONKEY I just have a power cable running down there to a rear cig and Anderson from the aux bat the previous owner installed. Cable far too thin and I get nearly 1V drop at 15 amps so want to upgrade. Also that cubby hole on the black panel has caved in so wanna strip it out to see what’s gone wrong. Now I know the order of things and where the screws are, I’m confident. Thanks again mate. Really appreciate you sharing this knowledge

    Thanks. Your detailed information on how to remove the different trim panels really helped me on a job to install an electric brake controller. It can be easy to break trim if you don't know the little tricks.

      cheers Craig, Yeah I'm always breaking stuff. That's why I share :) I'm still missing a heap of those bloody panel clips. I really need to find a source for them.

    You are my turn to videos for the Pajero. I have a NS Pajero and just upgraded the head unit to an Android unit after seeing how easy (minus your non standard wiring) it was. Like you said in your video it's like 30mins plug and play. I just spotted this video and just confirming I used the same location for mounting of a kings dual thumper air compressor 18 months ago. Only difference was I didn't remove the two bolts from the floor, I actually used those to bolt down the base plate so I could keep the vibration down. I did remove the handle though to take off some height and width at the top.

      Thanks for the nice comment mate. Appreciate it. The head unit job is sooooo much easier if the original plugs are still there. The compressor and probably my 3rd fav thing....ok maybe 4th. Fridge, solar etc, head unit are top 3 I think... But that changes daily. I'm about to help you spend more money in the next week or so with a diy lithium upgrade 😁 hide your wallet

      Roger, some cars are piss easy and others just fight you the whole way. I'd like to smack some car designers in the head for their trouble. The issue I have with the Paj is they will use 2 different type of plastic clips on the one bloody panel. I think there are about 6 various types all around the vehicle and I'm having trouble finding where to source even one of them.

    Looks like a big project you've put yourself into. Thoughts... how about Rivnuts in the floor for the compressor mounting bolts to screw into instead of using self tapper screws!
    Other than that it looks like at least 3 days work. Look forward to the next parts. Cheers Adam

      Hey Ads, yeah, it's turning into a big job, but I'm going to do a bunch of stuff whilst I have the panels off and tidy some other stuff up. might as well since its all apart. tthe rivnuts would have worked, but i didnt think of them. where were you before i started this. I wouldnt have been able to tighten the ones up at the back though. even getting the screw bit in there was tight. Im not that smart.

      Having worked on aircraft I do a little more planning before I start drilling holes in anything.
      I wonder how long it will be before the screws work their way out as everything in a 4wd seems to eventually loosen over corrugated dirt roads. Best of luck with the rest of the build. 😊

    Hey mate ebay can be a source for your clips. For example I bought these ones for the door trims. Search "Pillar Trim Interior Panel & Door Card trim Clips- Fit some Mitsubishi cars".
    Hard to find but they are there.
    Mitsubishi arent too bad on pricing for old parts. Can be hit and miss on pricing though.

      you could but I'm not sure how much difference it would make since I like to open up the little flap to let it breath a bit and let the heat out. so any noise comes from there. I'm outside the vehicle anyway when it's running, so it doesn't bother me at all. Thanks Fahad, I'm glad it helps you out mate :)

    I am really enjoying your videos but I would like to see how your winch was fitted. I have an NW Pay with an Ironman bullbat fitted and would like to fit a Run 11p winch but unsure about doing it. Did you make a video fitting your winch?

    • @DENMONKEY
      @DENMONKEY  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey Paul, No I don't mate . I should have done a video on it but I fit it into the bull bar before it went on. It really is an easy job and I'm pretty sure you can fit one without taking the bullbar off. Not that I tried. If I recall correctly I believe there was only 4 bolts to put through.
