Excellent video thanks very much
Glad it was helpful!
Just bought one of these. Shall watch your video with interest mate 👍
Please open up that Dune box.
Kind regards
I will.
Great video
Isn't that double head compressor 90 Amps?
Most of them are 90 . But this one 45amp
Machan, I need your help to get this done to my vehicle, too.How can I contact you?
Nice video, just a few question in regards what size relay did you use? I though this unit was only meant to be for a single head compressor? Would the wiring be enough to handle the power? Im only using the single cylinder compressor from dune 4wd aswell but im interested to see how you manage to use it in your compressor and if it does not overheat wiring.and what size fuse for wiring.
Regards
I used 80 amp Relay mate . My compressor is 45amp one . You can use up to 80amp compressors for conversion kit.
Fuse is 60amp , I used wires with 100amp rating up to the relay.
Excuse my ignorance with 12V electric stuff, but i believe the conversion kit has auto on off when pressing the inflator.. does that mean there is already a relay inside the box?
Pressure switch inside . Not relay.
Excellent video mate.
How did you connect the power? Did you go direct from your aux AGM battery?, or did you run it from your fuse panel?
It’s was with 100amp AGM . Now I got a 200amp lithium battery mate . When I was running with AGM, I always keep the engine running.
@@4wdNTAustraliabyThilina Nice one.... that 200AH Lithium will be amazing.... Sorry, what I was wanting to know, was whether you wired the compressor direct to the battery, or if you ran it from a feed in your fuse block?
I'm looking to do something similar, and am wanting to know if I should wire the heavy duty cable direct to the battery, or if my fuse panel will handle 50Amps.
If I go via the fuse panel, then my shunt will be able to monitor the usage, but if I go direct to the battery, then it would bypass everything.
So, in a nutshell, I'm wondering if I could power 50Amps via the fuse panel (and if that's what you did) ... Hope that makes sense :)
I connected to battery directly. Do you have your shut close to the battery or away from battery.? If shut close to the battery you can still connect the negative wire to shunt
@@4wdNTAustraliabyThilina - Thanks mate.... Great suggestion... I didn't realise I could do that.... (shunt is close to the 2nd battery).
@@dougalmcpherson8859 then no issue. Connect directly to your battery . That’s the better way .
What Amp relay did you use?
@@aussiekim0825 80amp mate
Thanks!
