I use a Reliance Aquitainer 7 gallon cube shape. Rides on floor or bunk step when traveling, then on top on the cabinet above the fridge so the nozzle hangs over the sink. Works like a charm
Hi Kurt, I enjoy all your videos. Just a trick breaking eggs. Use a flat surface, not the edge of the pan. Less chance of getting shell, believe it or not, and less chance of broken yolks. Try it I didn't believe it either, but I'm an older dork, and it works for me.
Trains are nice to see. They are even more fun when they blow their horn and interrupt you when you are talking. It's almost like you time it to happen.
Thank you Kurt for everything you do and for everything you represent your a very kind and very family Oriented you put you all and heart into everything you do keep doing what your doing because people can learn a lot from you and your family
The was a nice suck up with warden when you walked in. I kinda think the real reason for camping at the truck stop is your starting to miss the truck alittle.
Spending the night or nights in your truck camper? I missed the part about what was your heart source is? Using a Honda five thousand watt generator for power source and a small space heater. This arrangement will keep your truck camper warm and toasty. The generator holds almost one gallon of gasoline and that amount of fuel will keep the generator running about eight hours. Also this same generator will power a five thousand btu window air conditioner. I use this arrangement in my semi truck and avoid idling my truck while parked. It takes very little time to set this arrangement up and have it heating or cooling your camper or semi truck.
Loved the geography info and night tour of your beautiful state of Iowa. I sympathize for Sarah, I caught that RSV which turned into a nasty sinus infection which took 3 weeks and 2 courses of antibiotics to get rid of.
I take my lights down the day after Christmas, and the last place I would camp at is a truck stop Wal Mart has All the calendar s and keep up the good work God bless from GA and stay safe
I love seeing the Sinclair gas station stuff.. I remember seeing that stuff when I was a kid here on the east coast. Honestly thought they were out of business.
I know we have talked before about our mutual friend (Stephanie J) but this video brought back some amazing memories. I grew up in Ute and went to Charter Oak. Thanks for posting the video with those places. :)
Leave Christmas lights up until January 7(the day after the Feast of the Epiphany on January 6). Also, as you see one downside of using a propane heater inside is the condensation from the moisture produced by the combustion of propane, but still better than the onboard furnace which is less efficient, and takes quit a bit of electricity to run the fan. Good video!
Trucking with Schmidt calendars for next year! The wrap will help keep the water cool in the summer. I see you have a pop-up vent. That could be where the snow came from. Those tend not to seal well and can lift up a bit in a very strong wind. I feel you with the O.C.D. thing. I insist on keeping things original, too. Iowa is beautiful. Thank you for sharing the adventure. Stay safe, and God bless.
Kurt, you might want to look into a "Jump Pack" to bring camping, since your truck doesn't like the winter months. Likewise, you can use it for your other vehicles as well. All our local towing services use them for boosting vehicles and getting power to newer vehicle, which require power to get into neutral and release the parking brake, prior to being towed in to a service facility. newer vehicles like my 2019 Chev Equinox, when the battery failed, it goes into power saving mode, which puts the vehicle into a total lock down. You can't get it out of park, it even sets the electronic parking brake, locks the vehicle and arms the alarm system, and it stays that way till it gets another power source or totally kills the battery. Sara's new Jeep probably does the same thing. If you want to camp in the woods off a remote back road during winter, it might save you a long cold walk.
Re the calendar - I did my dissertation on knowledge management systems in the city hall of a major city. Even though there was a shared electronic calendar system, everyone I interviewed also had a paper calendar of some type. There was something about what I called 'seeing across time' that made the paper calendars useful. People could see future dates better and for calendars with multiple months, like a big wall calendar, they could see back and forward. I was surprised. It was an interesting finding and indicated to me that we aren't anywhere near a paperless office. Something I've learned since - there is a difference between reading print and reading digital. That's why you want to make sure kids who are learning to read, learn from books. It's something about how reading print wires the brain. So looking back, there may have been some brain thing going on with the office workers that made them want to have a paper calendar available.
It just occurred to me who you remind me of. You remind me of Larry Kubiak from the tv show Parker Lewis can’t lose from back in the day. No pun intended. Good video
You ever get that heater to work in that thing yet? Miss my truck camper. Let a former friend borrow it and he rolled his truck with my camper on it. Well now I got me a toy hauler fifth wheel camper traded in my travel trailer in for my toy hauler. Yup I packed my 300 lbs smoker in the garage area a bunch of hickory wood and few other toys and live the high life at the camp grounds lol. Hey bug, that is one way to go bald fast no hair cuts and ball caps all the time. That is cheating lol
I think I'd cut some of that Refexit stuff for all the windows and entire top area for insulation while camping out in the cold. Can't hurt might help.... Sorry, gave up camping in the cold when I left Germany. Ain't no place colder nor wetter than a forest in Germany, in January.....no matter what you do, you're cold and wet. As for fixing your furnace, have your local propane guys check it out once you put in new parts. PB
Just a idea maybe jet the steps that you have in the KW for the truck camper and make some type of kids step or just a box you build that would fit some were in the camper just I out siders view
Watching all the problems with the “new” camper it’s a piece of junk. The top extension and plastic is going to fail and the electrical is going to catch on fire. Having a heater next to a propane tank! Dump it and get something newer less cost of ownership it will be much more dependable safer and be more fun.
easy finding ur home, google street view helped. but i checked the back lane to find ur semi parked at the back in 2019, the truck u sold last summer. just my own private tour of ur town.
I like your vidios. L have a ram 3500 with a Artic Fox 811. Close your top vent and use your side window for air that way you wont loose as much heat. JOE
Those eggs could of been jazzed up with some sautéed onions, peppers and maybe tomatoes, just saying..., also l think it would be interesting and cool if you'd follow and video a bull hauler or fast moving semi at night in a convoy on the interstate for a few miles.
Hey Kurt I was wondering if you have ever checked the temperature of the floor. I have a similar camper and was going to put it on a trailer for ice fishing and camping hunting I like the idea of the upper insulation. Was wondering if I needed to put insulation around the outside of the bottom of the camper. Thanks for your input.
WOW, Kurt took a month off from trucking and is now turning into a lot lizard.
You beat me to it.🤣🤣🤣
He must be good at it, ate $40 worth of eggs for breakfast!
Ha ha lol lol
😂😂😂🤣
I use a Reliance Aquitainer 7 gallon cube shape. Rides on floor or bunk step when traveling, then on top on the cabinet above the fridge so the nozzle hangs over the sink. Works like a charm
Especially with a truck camper!! They will think you’re a pimp!!!😂😂 you opened yourself up to this! I am lmao on this episode!
Great video Mr SCHIMDT. Get well Sarah 😢. Take care SCHIMDT family and 🐕🦺 🐕🦺 🐕🦺 🚚 💨 💨 💨 💨
Grechin Wilson leaves her Christmas lights on all year long

Different is good. Really dig your mobile man cave. Truck it safe Kurt

supposed to be 59 degrees tuesday down here in topeka..hadn't had snow yet.
It's a kick to see you having some fun! Good to see you getting the camper into shape. Stay safe!!
The was a nice suck up with warden when you walked in. I kinda think the real reason for camping at the truck stop is your starting to miss the truck alittle.
You can never get rid of them damn semis and get some quiet rest.😂😂
Thanks for the video Kurt. I think that I would like better in the woods better than a truck stop. I prefer peace and quiet. Take care you dork 😂😂😂😂

Thank You For The Towns TOUR & Truck Stop Nice Video
No problem Ken thanks for watching
Loved the geography info and night tour of your beautiful state of Iowa. I sympathize for Sarah, I caught that RSV which turned into a nasty sinus infection which took 3 weeks and 2 courses of antibiotics to get rid of.
You have to go to a truck stop with lizards to show Bud!😂😂
I take my lights down the day after Christmas, and the last place I would camp at is a truck stop Wal Mart has All the calendar s and keep up the good work God bless from GA and stay safe
In my neck of the woods that’s called (the homeless). Lol glad your enjoying it so are we.

I love seeing the Sinclair gas station stuff.. I remember seeing that stuff when I was a kid here on the east coast. Honestly thought they were out of business.
Amazing as always. God bless you
There are alot of those little towns in the midwest. My old hometown in IL has 250 souls including the town dog.
Use to pickup in Denison all the time and shuttle trailers back to Tyson in Waterloo or JBS in Marshalltown Iowa
The ingenuity alone is worth the visit. Iowa winters are brutal.
Hope the family gets to feeling better truck looks awsome with camper on it wow
Denison Iowa. The hometown of Donna Reed. Spent several nights at that truck stop. They have a decent restaurant at that truck stop
Lol, dude don't you get enough of truck stops 🤣.
I know we have talked before about our mutual friend (Stephanie J) but this video brought back some amazing memories. I grew up in Ute and went to Charter Oak. Thanks for posting the video with those places. :)
To 🥶 keep warm👍👍
Now you’re showing off eating those high dollar eggs 🤨🤨😂😎Rickster
Kurt I agree Christmas lights at the first of the year but I think it's been to cold to take them down. Stay Safe.🤙🇺🇸🇺🇸🤙

If I was that close to home I’d sleep with mama
Those curtains may help hold the heat.
Poor Opie and Jax! You left them “all alone” in the house with 3 other people! Hahaha.
Hope Warden feels better soon!
Y’all stay safe!
So abused lol. Atleast they think so lol

Urber Dad has some ideas
@@sassyflower1686 As long as he doesn't do a weird Chippendale trucker thing. 😁

Stay Strapped!!! You are your own First Responder!!!!
Like the camping idea great why to relax
Christmas lights stay up until Chrismas, then are changed to decorator lights until the end of January. Then they can come down.

Great video Kurt 👍
Gosh I would be worried/ scared with that propane tank inside. Keep up with the fun videos.
I think you found an angle. I'm a driver out of Omaha and I do enjoy the sights and sounds of the small towns in IA, Ne and Ks.
I use to run Highway 30 and Highway 20 all the time
Just a idea maybe jet the steps that you have in the KW for the truck camper and make some type of kids step or just a box you build that would fit some were in the camper just I out siders view
Could try it

Blowing you off....then just happens to mention that's where he met Sarah 🤣🤣🤣
Isn’t Ute the bar that serves $1 beers and food on Sunday. I swear it’s where we have landed many times with the bikes. Good place!
Mid life camping crisis! I am driving up to Cartersville to sleep in my pickup. NOT!
Since Supertrucker Dan bought his orange Peterbilt he camps every night he is on the road. Just a thought. Maybe a hint for you. Ha ha ha.

Good work Kurt and some nice egg's you cooked there too buddy you all take good care of yourselves won't you Kurt
Thank you Wayne. Eggs are my favorite
Mine too Kurt

Those eggs could of been jazzed up with some sautéed onions, peppers and maybe tomatoes, just saying..., also l think it would be interesting and cool if you'd follow and video a bull hauler or fast moving semi at night in a convoy on the interstate for a few miles.
They do make square water bottles
