I hear ya,buddy they don't bother to let you know before you get there that you can't get in the way you came in last time.like you said, stupid glad in retired.
Was hilarious that “money pit” was out even before you was gone..😁 , yep the glasses are goners. Opie is probably loving all moms attention, and Jax is going through grumpy old man..😁 you will go back in the groove of the trucking world, and after a two week hiatus.. Just a side note: my Dad passed away this morning.. died in his sleep at home..it’s hard and go through times of crying, but I have my family to lean with them for me and me for them… thank you for all the well wishes and prayers over the past year, I appreciate it more than I can express 😩🥺🥺🥺🦮🐕🦺🦮
Kurt - embrace your Grumpy Old Man status. It’s impossible to escape, especially as Millenials join the economy. Just temper your Inner Grump with kindness - I know you have it in you. You’ll be fine. 👍
My uncle Ed was a short and long haul trucker ( his Handel was the wrench man ) he drove out of Toledo Ohio. He to worked on his truck and one summer I got a chance to ride with him on a short haul I was about 10 or 11 , that one of the best summers. His wife my aunt Zenaida was known as little pheasant; I mess them both so much there gone now .
Kurt, I recently found your videos on TH-cam, and tonight Subscribed. End of Feb 2021, I finally retired my truck driving, being 71 yrs old, I had enough! Lots of crazy drivers out there. I hated ice and heavy fog driving. Most of my driving was as a company driver. But, I'm really enjoying your driving as an owner operator, you have lots of patience! Be Safe out there! GOD Bless You
Thank you, I love your videos. I roam around YT for a while and when I get dissatisfied with all of it, I view your videos and I am grounded again. ❤ Thank you to you and your family. ❤
Pork liver is made into livermush. Liver mush is a little bit of pork liver and lots of cornmeal and spices. Livermush is found in Western N Carolina. Grandmas homemade livermush was the best.
No it found all over N.C I am from N.C but had moved to Wisconsin . I sure miss home for things like liver Pudding(mush) Seafood like flounder, Country ham and fatback you can't get here unless you order it online and have it shipped here and that cost. Oh,just for everyone's info N.C has three styles of BBQ Eastern,Lexington and Pulled.
You did good Kurt. This video brought back a lot of memories for me. Watching tire spray, mirror arms icing etc. The world , this country is getting so crazy it's hard to recognize anymore. Been watching trucking with fitz for a while now. Seems like a nice, dedicated to work young man who is learning trucking. Stay Safe TGP
With what occurred within the first ten minutes of this video, I would have thought you would have just gone back to bed. At least the glasses weren't glued to your face. The real world is very unfortunate. Common sense is very rare. Take Cocoa with you. When you're getting frustrated, you can enjoy something silly. I find myself needing to find and create humor more every day. Please stay safe, and God bless.
The only ice I like is in my glass with cherry Pepsi everything else is bullshit not only in my trucking but aviation as well. Keep driving brother I’m out there with you
Kurt you're absolutely right you can pretty much drive in anything but once the glaze shows it's definitely time to shut er down. Stay Safe out there especially around truckstops to much craziness going on.🇺🇸👍
I've started watching ladds garage he trucks in a western star.. he is out of mosurri runs to Oklahoma and Illinois... keeps the language clean..runs flatbed..
Get finger nail polish remover and it will take super glue off of anything then wash the glasses in soapy water. It has to have acid tone in the nail polish remover though
I keep watching to see if your go through my home town. Dawson was getting close but not winner. I was born in Falls City Nebraska. It just a hole in the wall. Not much industries there anymore.
i might need some of that hemp ( human kind) , my joints feeling the colder weather especially this year 🙃😏.PS: welcome to getting closer to 45 years old Kurt , i'm 49and i can tell you it gets more interesting LOL ( S*** starts to hurt in places you never use etc etc etc )
That’s the one thing I love about dragging a thermos. No tandem slidings needed. FYI when you glued your frames back together, you should’ve glued the frames without the lens and then popped the lens back in after the drying process. Just a thought in the future driver. Be safe
I have astigmatism. Finally got glasses a couple of years ago and it makes so much of a difference. I can still "see" enough to pass an eye exam, but just barely. For me it's everything further away is out of focus but something right in front of my face is clear as can be. Of course, one eye is a little weaker than the other so it can throw off my balance if I'm not careful. You talking about your glasses made me have a quick little panic attack wondering where my glasses went. They were on my face being used lol.
I’m so happy I don’t have to deal with that rain fog ice stuff any more! That white knuckle driving, eyes straining for twelve hours, don’t need it! I feel your pain! Thanks for sharing.
Hello 👋 Hey HI and Howdy.. lol .😂. RIGHT.. I been runnin into a few gaurds that were Sroned or High.. heck i just seen a ddiver the other day that was HIGH as a Kite .. urghh ... Peace ✌ 💚 & 18 Wheels to All...
Mate i live in Sydney Australia I can’t believe how cold it gets there here at the moment during the day it’s sits around 30/35 Celsius last week around 40 really enjoying your feed stay safe stay warm cheers 🍻
That snow conditions looks beautifully to me. And as for Mr opie the hemp things will help he won't get high 😂 and as for your Mr dorky fixet the glasses not super glue I once melted mine together and my kids called me a wanka 😂 calling their mother a wanka 😂😂
I forgot ,Happy Birthday Paige, and by the way i know how that superglue feels on the eyes,my glasses were broken one time, i glued them back together and put them on ,WOW, never more, you should invest in those glasses that can't be broke...shop Flexon glasses then go to a one hour glasses place. just something to mull over Monday will be nearly 60 degree's. you have a good day
Hi Kurt, here in the UK we eat Ox, pigs and Lambs liver. It’s very tasty if cooked right and full of essential nutrients and iron. Did you see supertruckerdans last vlog, he went sliding past his delivery point on an icy road. Stay safe out there. 😎🇬🇧
Always look for double gaskets on fuel and oil filters. I drove a heavy wreckers starting out and towed more trucks with bad motors or bad leaks from double gasket installing filters.
The most IMPORTANT THING today, "YOU SAVED THE LAVA LAMP" there's NO WAY I'd watch anymore if you lost your Guiding Lite. I love the little thing.... Safe Travels
Wow, that Hill Pet Foods looks like one pain in the ass place! Years ago I went to the Lays plant a couple times. Otherwise that's about it for Topeka.
Kurt, a glass case, so that when you are not wearing them, they can be kept safe, in your pocket. That's how I keep my sunglasses, while wearing my regular glasses. Best wishes from the warm far North!!!
HELLO KURT COOL VIDEO I CANT SAY I BLAME YOU ON THE HUGE BACK UP I WOULD SO PISSED !! PRAY OPIE IS DOING GOOD HE WILL ENJOY MOM FOR A BIT BUT HE WILL BE BACK IN YHE SADDLE IM SURE !! KURT BE BLESSED STAY SAFE SIR ✊👍🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🐾🐾🐾❤️🐾🐾🐾
Just a suggestion Kurt? When you get your next pair of glasses, get a set or two of clip on amber lenses to go on top of them. They make driving at night and especially in inclement weather so much easier on the eyes from my experience! (oh and they help cut the glare of oncoming high beam traffic too)
I am with you on the people being stoned. I do not care who what or why it was legalized in some places because it will always be illegal to me period! Have a great night!
46 years I always carried an extra pair of glasses in the truck. A company I was leased to for 15 years used state troopers for security at the gate. They were always sleeping at night and occasionally in the day.
I can feel for you. That's why I don't work ER anymore. I don't tolerate stupidity as well as when I was younger . I always loved the driving but security guards, dispatchers and the DOT were the bane of my existence 😂
🍭SWEET🍭SO……SO…SO! LOL😆 Try calming yourself next time by closing your eyes, taking long deep breaths & repeat slowly ,“ REDRUM, REDRUM. REDRUM”. 😁Just kidding! God Bless🙏🏼💖👍🏻🌞
I so felt your pain when you were stuck dealing with the imbecile guard. I dont drive a truck but am familiar with dealing with and being at the mercy of absolute lazy, pea brain dolts. I can actually feel the acid burning a hole in my stomach lining.
I know how op feels I have joint problems with my hips and cold weather doesn't help and we had a bunch of rain this weekend and it didn't help ether great video keep up the good work God bless from GA stay safe have a safe trip 😊
I sure enjoyed the video and was hoping to hear your “chat”…. I appreciate your channel and your safety consciousness in doing the impossible for the unthankful.
Kurt, Hello that road looked iffy a couple of times.... your hood looked like a snowcone machine in the video. Good to see you are safe ice is bad. How about finding a k9 bed or pad for the garage for Jaxs and Opie. That cold floor in the winter is not good for their bones. Love your family... Love ur channel. Dan Snodgrass
I worked in the water and wastewater industry for 12 hrs before getting into trucking. And from what it looks like the water main just has a crack so what they will most likely due is dig it up and put a wrap around clamp around the main to cover up the crack then tighten it down. It the main was completely broke you would know it lol. That’s nothing major and won’t affect water pressure
Hi ! like i said it before, i been hauling pork for 7 years from Montreal area to Toronto area GTA. all in boxes ! and sometimes coming back with totes of pork fat but the most amazing is we ship frozen pork ribs in containers to Japan on a regular basis !From Vancouver ! 😎
The other day, you said, going to look into a canvas tent. Saw the slide in camper was in a pull behind trailer. I saw many of them at Rodney pits, South Wood, and other camp ground. I think It would work for some local camping but stay safe
Maybe I was very fortunate . . . when I was driving in the 1970's ice was only a challenge a few times. Going west on I-80 in eastern PA, there is that time when rounding a long curve, slowly, proved beneficial. Wisely, a Greyhound Scenecruiser parked on the side of the highway due to the ice. All was well until I noticed the back end of the trailer was drifting towards the bus. Great concern! Gently I applied the trailer brakes and I'll be a son-of-a-gun if the trailer didn't straighten out much to my relief. I think that is one of those times when, as has been said by others, I'd rather be lucky than good. Yeah, one cannot be cautious enough, better to call a halt than to press ones' luck. Glad the weather favored you and your semi, happier still nothing bad occurred. You're a very fine and sensible trucker, no doubt. Be well.
I apologize I haven’t been able to watch videos. I should be able to soon. I feel and broke my right side hip in three different locations, I have had my first surgery and they put in rods and screws. I was told that they might have to go back in and fix more depending on how it moves. So I am hit or miss videos. Keep making videos I will eventually get caught up.
Dealing with gate guards is always the number one highlight of every truckers day!
This is a trucker in his natural Habitat
