But it’s EVERYWHERE!
Very Very good, can easily be misinterpreted as a bit too good or corny. Even, I mistook Kirby's Chivalry in the beginning too. But, after spending some time watching his videos and learning about his character and commitments, I think he's one of those rare people who are just that good. Love your work Mr. Allison.
However, I do think, we all will benefit from learning to write or speak some good prose from the pros, like Martin Amis.
Hey, Mr. Allison, why don't you interview Classy Writers ? That's certainly a series aligned with your classy content.
Or Bespoke
Kirby, I don't smoke and I have no interest in humidors. However, I am grateful to have watched this video. I must say, I think you and your team have developed a truly beautiful video style. The crisp video, the depth of focus, the editing, the slow motion choices, the music. Everything is beautiful. Your videos are fitting tributes to all of the great companies, makers and people you cover.
As a furniture maker myself...love this!
It will be very interesting to juxtapose this to the video we filmed in Cuba with Humidores Havana.
I own a "La flor de Alba" 110 count for about 8 years now and I absolutely love it, they also went up in price some since I bought it as well...
Amazing! I’m sure it has many, many additional years of trusty use ahead of it!
Very nice. I dream to own one of those. Maybe one day! 🤞😀
Fantastic piece Kirby! Your content is second to none. Looking forward to your Cuba series.
Thank you! Cuba coming along nicely!
I have 2 Elie Blue humidors and many cigar accessories. They are pieces of art and are indeed the best out there
You see Kirby's genuine desire to own such a piece while being a total gentleman. I hope he got one.
Definitely wanted to take one of those with me! Unfortunately, no gift bag waiting for me at the end of the video! 😅
@@kirbyallison For shame love the video though
@@thomaskristensen4679 I was thinking that too, but a company like Elie Bleu will have become a bit too accustomed to having customers spending $100's or $1000's for one of their humidors and I doubt they would even consider the notion of giving appreciation to Kirby's showcasing of their company, factory and essentially giving them a huge promotional video that they basically have as an extra marketing tool for their products, to appreciate the gesture and gift him a humidor as I can't help feel like they should have, but it is what it is.
@@thomaskristensen4679 Thats because all of their humidors are above 5 grand
Kirby you are a sophisticate par excellence.
I’m a Harley riding, cigar smoking New Yorker and after listening to your many videos, especially with the Sahakians, I told my lady I have to get a three piece suit.
Keep up the great work and if you ever see a Harley Rider wearing the suit it’s probably me.
47 mins of pure class.
Thank you for another very interesting and informative video Kirby. I was particularly interested to hear that Elie Bleu started out making humidors for Dunhill, as I own one of those from the 70s. To think it could have been made by Elie Bleu is very cool.
Excellent video I own one since like 4 years ago and only put water once (when new )it maintains a steady 72 % humidity incredible humidor a jewel …!
Great video Kirby! Without a doubt the finest humidor maker, i compare Elie Bleu to Goyard in what they do, the best materials and craftsmanship, limited productions with exclusivity, and tasteful incoporation of colors in their designs.
Would LOVE LOVE LOVE to visit the Goyard factory one day!
It's so refreshing to see such beautiful, precise and quality craftsmanship in this day...love their work.
Absolutely fantastic!!! Glorious. Merci!!!
@@bigvanvader3122 you've commented this in various ways 53 times so far on this channel going back 7 months ago... You're weird man 🤣
I work some craftmanship including cigars ashtrays combined with a coaster for your cup and this video really inspired me to up my game in the level of details and finish. Great video.
WOW KIRBS!!! WHAT A TREAT 😢 JUST BEAUTIFUL BRO 😍 😊
Excellent Kirby, love the content. Wishing you and your team luck to your next production.
Great visit, Kirby! I love all your factory tours...
Thnx for this video.
Just perfect.
This is real art.
Great look inside. Masterpieces. Thank you Kirby.
Thank you for another great video Kirby!!!
Yet another outstanding video, Kirby!
Wow, just beyond art
As always another great video! Love Elie Bleu.
What a informative video with Eli Bleu. You have captured the whole process on how fabulous These humidors are made, we call these’s Rolls-Royce of humidors.🎩
Awesome interview, thank you!
Great great video, amazing craftsmanship, thank you 🙏
encroyable!
Incredible craftsmanship
Even though I don't smoke cigars, the boxes are beautiful. I could see buying one of these boxes for its aesthetic appeal and price appreciation potential.
They make watch, pen, and jewelry boxes as well. As Laurent shared in the interview, they kianda fell into the humidor business…
@@kirbyallison Thanks for the additional information.
I’ve been waiting for this one for so long!
Incredible show Kirby, well done and very informative. This is one you can watch over and over again.
Yay! Cigar content!
At 14:12 this man makes a whole Pokémon reference. Protect him at all costs
Quite the cabinet!
Laurent what? Said with a straight face. Respect.
perfect humidor ¡¡
37:38 beautiful editing❤
Laurent sure does Fuchs!
Very exklusive pieces
Great video.
Great video
Kirby make videos i feel is an adventure :)
Kirby is really such a great interviewer. You can see the passion in his excitement and knowledge as they converse
I am in the market for a new humidor. Perfect timing
But are you in the market for a 2500 dollar humidor?
@@bayviewbud1539 sure why not
Make sure you visit KirbyAllison.com!! We just added some to our website!
Very nice humidors but very expensive ! I'll be sticking with my old Hoyo de Monterrey humidor for now. Its very old and my cigars like it. 👍🤗
A Boveda pack and a plastic tub will keep your cigars at the correct humidity. These are works if art. The functional value can be replicated for about $100.
@@kirbyallison As far as functional value, all these humidors lack temperature control which do not prevent beetle hatching. I would recommend a Eurocave humidor if your cigars are extremely valuable, especially for warmer climatic conditions.
This is some deep knowledge shared here. I am still trying to watch all the Alan Flusser content.
Get slapped with this. I need a cigar.
BRAVO
Kirby… I’m in shock. I’ve Trawled through your videos and cannot find anything on how to tie a cravat! I’m off to Goodwood Revival next week - enough time to right this? 😂 - cheers good man.
I am a happy owner of 4 of them. Stock full of my fav Davidoff Royal Releases, Davidoff Limited Edition Signature No. 1’s and Ashton ESG 23-yr Salutes.
My Cohiba 55’s are in a custom ST Dupont, which pales in comparison to these.
Wow! Send me some pics!
@@kirbyallisonwill do! I will DM you on IG
Kirby, superb as usual - what are your shoes, if i may ask ? Very french brown for Paris!
Thanks for this great documentary of one of the worlds premiere craftsmen. Would be great if you had some b roll of the subtle sound of a Elie Bleu humidor lid closing. It's more impressive than the Dupont lighter "ping". Have one over 20 years, and wish I bought more when they were cheap and even discounted. Also, would be great if you had some close up video of the Cohiba humidor w the gold leaf. It is one of the great masterpieces of French craftsmanship. They had it on the 2nd floor of the Paris shop a while back. P.S. enough with the Savile Row tailors. They are now ridiculously over-priced with sloppy quality, such as collar gaps, etc.. Think Range Rover circa 1990's. Living off reputations "Royal Warrants" lol, of decades past. This could be a result of some of the older cutters retiring and a new generation coming in with a steep learning curve.
Wow
Still waiting patiently on the home humidor video.
3-Star Michelin Humidor.
Is the "craftsmanship and tradition" in the room with us now?
Cabinet making
Wonderful tour, but as someone who dabbles with wood, he clearly kept some trade secrets secret; as he should.
A tour with Laurent who?
I was surprised to see they are LASER cutting the veneer. $300,000 for a laser cut inlay?!
There are lots of people who do more elaborate work by hand.
Laser cutting veneer inlay is basically just making a puzzle.
They are too expensive.. its a great piece but nowadays competitions everywhere and the pricing is good too.
beautiful humidors but my hinges broke and they charged me $300 to fix them.
BAHAHAHA
Can’t believe they didn’t gift you one for your efforts. O well they are overpriced
300 000$ for a box of cigars, I would not blame Russians to put some nuclear effort on London, Paris, New York!
As ever a fantastic video....but I share your disappointment that the marketry is laser cut....at those prices....bespoke hand made marketry should be cut by hand with hand tools...I expected to see a workshop with benches of artisans hand carving the elements..not one guy at a laser bench finishing his task in an hour!!!!.. I was taught... using a surgeons scalpel.
15 000 dollars for humidor?! No wonder if your wife is cheating you!
Absolutely useless thing, wanna have practical thing, buy fridge, you can put anything there, including ice cream. I do not need to waste my time on this factorship of mastership of stage actorship. What music is it which starts from 35:12 to 37:40?
I’m sorry but a humidor made out of cheap MDF is not a premium humidor. Absolute scam
For that money I would want something out of solid timber.
That defeats the purpose entirely. You cannot have furniture of that quality without veneer-layered Construction. Looking at the video, and the substrate being used, I am certain the core material is MR (moisture resistant) MDF. Using this method will ensure the piece stays flat and awill not warp or twist, as it would when using solid timber. Trying to actually get hold of these rare woods in solid form would prove to be astronomically expensive! You can get it, but its very difficult to do so. Even f you did, there would be no guarantee that it would stay flat, as mentioned.
@clivejohnson9515 I'm all for a veneer finish but it can be used on a ceda substrate. For the price of these, no excuses.
@@coopcooper3194 Cedar would be more expensive - and more prone to splitting!
Wearing a double-breasted suit in 2023 looks ridiculous.
Vintage baby!
