This review gave me a little bit of metal whiplash. Admittedly, not everything is mutually exclusive, but according to this review, the RAV4's interior is simultaneously upscale yet dated. The Forester's CVT is something the reviewer doesn't like, yet he also finds that it provides a better driving experience. Somewhat confusing messaging in this video. I can say from experience that the Forester has a more refined chassis and suspension, and RAV4 feels less substantial.
Aa someone who's driven both, the rav4 interior is dated because there hasn't been a refresh in quite a few years. The screen is still mounted on the top like old models, and other dated layouts. However, the tech is very good and the build quality is good. The forester tech is slower and doesn't feel as premium, but the layout, aside from the driver dash, is more contemporary.
It almost seems like you filmed your conclusion before your road test. What you say at the end doesn't really match what you said during the on-road segments.
I hate that all of them are incorporating all the controls into the glorified laptop. I guess I have had way too many computer glitches that have happened in my work life and home life on PC's that makes me fearful to have most all controls inside a computer screen. We get screwed big time when it decides it wants to glitch. Give me all knobs & buttons please
@@paulm6481look outside your tiny mind and don't simply label somebody. Some people....like many car enthusiasts love everything to be as manual as possible and there is nothing wrong with that. Wait til somebody vandalizes your car and smasheds your screen.....have fun. There, I said it.
Totally agree. You’re pretty much forced to take your attention off the road vs reaching for the familiar controls. Voice commands can work, but if you’re in a conversation you interrupt that. I think the physical controls will make a comeback. At least I hope so.
The RAV4 has a lot of rattling, it's uncomfortable, loud and interior is pretty outdated compared to the segment. Subaru's CVT is actually really good. There's a clear winner.
as a person who owns a 25 forester and test drove both, the forester felt peppier off the line. according to google there 0-60 times are basically the same
RAV-4 has a real transmission. RAV-4 has a functional interior and looks better outside. RAV-4 is most reliable and great resale value. Nothing even close to all its qualities.

I Choose Subaru Anytime of the day with Comfort and worry free in almost all Bad Weather 😅😂

“Hey, here’s a $42K RAV4 vs a $36K Forester”

I can't unsee the ford explorer on the front for the forester
RAV-4 should not come with a TRD designation.
Love my 2025 Forester!
Which Forester trims get the front camera?
The touring does.

There's a clear winner.
If you don't know how to use cvt, it's nice to know
What did you know?
How to use a cvt....? It's just a different type of transmission.
both interiors consoles are completely unacceptable for a 2025/2024 product. Looks like they were designed by fisher price. how heinous!
I love my 2024 Rav4 XLE gas. More power and traditional transmission. 40+ mpg highway too. Easily passes trucks on the highway.

CVT in 4wd SUV? Pass!
Is it me, or are these vehicles getting more and more ugly.
It’s you.
Subaru has those darn issues with wheel hub assemblies..
I don't see a reason for this review since it does not compare off-road capabilities....
My 2020 Forester has the exact same intrument cluster that's sad.
so it’s actually in fact not the same instrument cluster as the 2020 forester
@@newswanofficial Not even close to being the same
Spell check on your title please
Thanks for the early catch!!
The Forester is giving me Ford Explorer vibes. It looks so generic.
My thoughts exactly. Don't like it at all. Really prefer the previous design. It really stood out
Slightly better Interior comfort - Forester.
Everything else - RAV4.
This review is trash.
Hardly did any comparison lol
Forester has underpowered engine, noisy unreliable CVT, crappy infotainment, poor mpgs, ugly look..otherwise it's a nice car.

I’m taking the Forester.
Smart choice
RAV4 TRD Off Road and Adventure are discontinued for 2025. Better choice for this video would have been RAV4 Limited.
