    Thank You!!!! This saved my parents lots of money and time. I called a local Nissan dealer for the switch, ($72.68 with tax) and within an hour had the new switch in and the car started up right away. After watching your video's part 1 and part 2 I felt confident I could put the new switch in again Thank You!!

      Wow Jennifer I'm very proud of you to take on this task and to go looking for a way to fix your parents car and you did save alot of money because there are repair shops that would of sold you alot of things like a starter battery,Alternator..and then the switch along with hours of troubleshooting time..and don't forget the tow. You did a Great Job....

      Not worth the effort to do that because the customer will be pissed off if they got stuck.Imagine if you're all dressed up or even if an emergency comes up and you run to the car to take your family member to a Hospital and it won't start and it's your only vehicle..Not worth the chance..or your loved one works in a shady neighborhood 🤔

  • @cirocerrato6103
    @cirocerrato6103 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    Great video the brake switch works in some cases. If it doesn't work it's the Smart Alternator -grey wire connected to battery. It limits power to the battery and doesn't recharge while on short drives (8 miles or less). Removing the wire bypasses this alternator 'limitation' and powers it up. You may need to check battery strength/recharge. If it's clicking and not turning over.

    • @alyoungcuda
      @alyoungcuda  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      You will have to show me some kind of proof or wiring diagram for what you said, it doesn't make sense if someone only uses a car to go to local stores in the neighborhood and it won't charge, besides if it doesn't charge then the battery would be dead and that's the easiest troubleshooting you can find and once the battery is dead. Its dead, you need a boost..if you keep pressing the button and then it starts, its Not the Battery.

      Its the little things you need to think about..like let's see, in order to start the car, I need to step on the brakes...Why? How does the car know or why does it need to know in order to start a car...because then any little kid or baby can push the button and start the car because they see you do it...monkey see, monkey do.. but since you did everything all ready..you should be good for the next 10 years on those parts... good luck and thanks for watching..You saved the Best for last.

    Great video. Question, do you know if the 2015 Nissan Altima needs or uses the rubber brake pedal stopper between the stop light switch and the pedal itself? I replaced my stoplight switch but cruise control also will not “set” speed only turn “on”. Looks like your cars stop light switch plunger connected right to the metal. Is this the same for the 2015 Altima? Thanks.

    • @alyoungcuda

      Don't think I ever saw a rubber bumper hitting the switch..bumper should be on the side when the pedal is on the upstroke..so more towards the drivers leg..its more of a silencer for when your foot slips off the pedal and it springs up fast .

      @@alyoungcuda ok. Yeah I don’t see any rubber bumper at all on mine. My switch is fine because I got a new one, but from time to time the lights will still get stuck “on”. It was an intermittent problem the customer stated and I was not going to fugazy it up and let him try it and since I had to remove it in order to even look at it, might as well change it out and be done with it..its still going strong..I mean look at how long the original one lasted..then a new one will last just as long.

      Go thru the comments on this video and the other one..there are alot of things to check..battery,battery terminal cleanliness, tight connection, fuses,battery block fuse,starter, neutral safety switch,starter button itself, aftermarket alarms, don't assume things are good, tight, clean or otherwise.. so many say it starts with a jump but then it won't start again but the battery is good..No.a jump means it is dead or your terminals are bad and the jumper clamp made it tight for that 1 time..

    So I changed the brake switch and still get the no start, literally everyday. I have to wait 15-20 mins before I can restart the vehicle after turning it off. And I do not hear the solenoid inside the gear shift when I press on the brake. The other day I was paying attention and listened for it and actually heard it. Could the solenoid be damaged inside the gear shift? Or something of that nature? Thanks in advance

      @@alyoungcuda I just did the light test, and the lights stay bright so this looks to be the starter? The button I would assume is fine and functions perfectly. Geez man, one way to check for the lights (if you're by yourself) is to listen for the connections making a sound when you push on the brake.
      You'll hear it (or not) when you press the brake to start your car. Why is it that you've got to have a response to what I'm telling you and everyone else? If you really want to save us money then it wouldn't be hard to suggest that viewers just check what I'm posting here.
