Thank you so much. Your video helped me so much. Dealer wants to charge me $1200 to change the harness, which I don't think needs replacing. I'm sure it's just the switch. The issue is that the car won't turn on the moment you apply your foot on the break and press the engine on button. It, most of the time, takes it in to the acc mode. I think I'll try this myself as it seems so easy. Thank you again
Thanks for making this video. Nice and to the point. Was helpful to get this thing done correctly, easily. It is a very common issue with Nissan Altima. I had to order my part from Nissan because the part from the Auto Part stores were all incorrect. They sure looked close to right but they weren't exactly. Prior to this video I was failing to make the little turn to click it in and it meant the brake light stayed on because the plunger wasn't being pushed. Thanks for your help.
Have a random question for you, I have 2008 nissan altima 2.5 s and am having issues with a little different electrical. Stereo may or may not come on when starting the car (complete power) and the turn signal clicking noise sometimes is on and sometimes is silent.
Good video. I would assume that if the brake switch is the actual cause of the no-start issue then the brake lights would NOT illuminate when the brake pedal is depressed. If the brake lights turn on/off by depressing the brake pedal then the no-start issue could be caused by something else since this condition indicates that the brake switch is operational. Is my reasoning correct? I don’t want to crawl under the dash & remove a switch if I can verify it’s operation by simply having someone check the status of the brake lights when I press the brake pedal.
Hey Christ I change my brake like switch I still don’t have a start.when you u press the start bottom it don’t say nothing I have power still from the window, radio
Exactly what I needed. Brake light switch was out, so my Altima wouldn't even start! Thanks!
God bless you! I just got stop by the cops bc my lights weren't working, just use one of those extra fuse an its working now, thank you so much!
So simple, but I couldn't have done it without you! Thanks so much.

If the one you showed was the brake light then what was the other one beside it?
Do you know what it could be next

Why wouldn't you tell us what the other switch is for
I think the other switch is brake pedal position, it's used for things like cruise control operation ascd
Hi
Thank you
