    I bought 2 6ft and a 7ft ul, all rods has problem with the top eye guide so far, only used a few times, but already showing grooves in the fishing rod top line guides, looks made out of brass with silver coating?, I use 4lb mono and 10lb braid on the 7ft, very disappointing about the material they used on the eye guides, please share if you guys has the same problem, i checked with with my 6x magnifier, it’s showing brass color on the grooves. I do love the blank, by the way the 7ft feeling like ml or L action, 6ft is true ul fast action,

      I would contact the warranty section on the TFO website and see if they want you to send it back , I haven’t had grooves in mine, but over time without the ceramic guides in the middle of the eye guide it is susceptible to abrasions if you use yours in saltwater like I have .

    I like using light action rods for shallow river smallie s . Do you think this rod is good choice? Will it cast jigs far ? How about treble hook lures?

      I would definitely recommend this rod for 1/8 oz or smaller jigs, and treble hooked lures like smaller square bills this would be a good choice !

    Dang that water is moving. Shows quality of that rod to detect any bites. You still you use? How it working for you?

    Looks like a great rod. Would you say the rod is a true fast action or is it whippie? I’m looking for a more fast action rod. Thanks

    Do you think the 6' UL has enough backbone for bass? Looking for an UL that is versatile enough for trout, crappie and bass. I've heard it's similar to a light, would you say that's accurate?

      I will say this , I take it smallie fishing around my me , but keep in mind there aren’t any smallies over around 3 lbs ! But I have fought steelhead on this rod that were easily 7-8 lbs!

    Where did you buy it from ? Online or local? Cabela’s?

    • @OutdoorsScopeTV
      @OutdoorsScopeTV  ปีที่แล้ว

      I don’t know if cabela’s carries these I would check their availability online for the in-store, but TFO has a website with them in stock! I can link their website here ->

      I saw that. Never liked buying rods online because I have had a few come broken. I saw that and what size rod and reel were you using .

    They are not made in the USA , I wanna say manufacture their rods in Korea but are located in Dallas TX . I own their fly rods and the same rod . They have the best lifetime warranty

      Their conventional rods are made in China. At least the Professional series is.

      The original TFO Trout and Panfish was made in Korea. Since then the rods are slightly different and made in China. The first gen was a better quality rod all around.
