    "I don't know why that roach didn't head into the spider den" lol Dave, your sense of humor is great! Awesome video but I still can't get over watching the 'food' squirm around after it's been taken. Here's the critter being served up to the huge monster in the corner and we delight in the leggy beastie jumping on the 'sacrifice'. ;) Although, I have no love for the 'food' whatever it may be-roach or squirmy maggot. (she says shivering at the thought of both) And I doubt you've ever once found a spider that you didn't think was a 'pretty spider'! :) We love you Dave and Camera Lady!

I think opening egg sacs are my favourite videos but the feeding videos are also great, most keepers have the whole roach stuffed in the tongs so it does help when showing all keepers a safer way by holding the roach on the tip. I love watching you build enclosures they are absolutely amazing, I love how you use moss on the ground, you are the only keeper I have ever seen use moss in this way, it really does make the enclosures look more natural, great video, thank you! ❤️

    Personally I think your spiders are calm and we'll behaved because of the environment you provide. They feel safe , are not fearful of their surroundings , and know they don't have predators. In the wild , they sense ( through vibrations and their hairs I'm thinking ) there might be danger. In your care , if the door is opened , I believe they understand enough and know it's food. I'm still a girl with a fear of them , but want to learn about them. Thank you for teaching us about them.

    I can appreciate your feeding technique, but I always preferred to just drop the crickets or prey items into the enclosure and watch my Tarantulas hunt down their prey. But I never thought about using tongs to feed them. I do enjoy that you are very calm around your Tarantulas, because any sudden movement or vibration; shift in the air; can cause them to do something unexpected! Having had 82 Tarantulas during my life, a few have cost me a days pay because they got out in my house while cleaning the water bowl 🥣 or dish. Great video! Brings back 🔙 many fond memories for me! Thank you.

    This is just brilliant love watching how quick these beautiful spiders are. Love hearing how a lot of them are just sitting out in their enclosures. I am wondering its because they know there are no predators about so they are quite comfortable and don't have to hide away like they would if they were in the wild.

  • @lucnadeau2821
    @lucnadeau2821 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Something to consider with one particular type of feeder : Zophobas morio, aka Superworm, you can try to tong feed them, but I've found them to be difficult to get a really strong grip on them. If you're just dropping them in, be ABSOLUTELY sure that your spider will take it immediately. If your spider ignores it and it burrows out of sight, pull it out straight away. There have been cases of "lost" Supers pupating into a black beetle, which surfaced conveniently during a molt and devouring them as they're still vulnerable, effectively killing the prized spider.
    Something to keep in mind. Onto more pleasant chatter, I enjoyed the clips greatly. Such a great variety of spiders of all shapes, colors and sizes. Will be looking forward to your centipede feeding video, even if they do creep me out ;)
    Stay safe and thanks for sharing :)

    I love feeding my creatures and enjoy a good feeding video... There are a couple of T's which you have that I'm buying next at some point.. My two Avic's of yourself are both coming along great, saying that they all are.
    Anyway I enjoyed the visit from, keep up the great work.

    Hello Dave and Cameralady :)
    Once again a great video. I always find it great how lovingly you talk about your spiders. A small comment/suggestion or a small request: Could you show the name of the spider at the top of the screen? I think then you could see the grabbing a little better and enjoy it much more... Love from Vienna

    This is a very enjoyable video. I love to see them close up with their names on.
    Inci gold is lovely.
    The Star burst baboon is my favorite.The close ups of the eyes are very interesting.

    Hey Dave, i really do love your videos, i always learn so much by listening to you. I just noticed that the Avic Avic"s almost look like their hairs have been singed, the easy the ends are so pale compared to the rest of them, it gives them a really fluffy look!
