    The 30.2 are my favorite Harbeth's & is my go to monitor in my collection

    I heard the 30.1 at the LA Audio Show last year and I was really impressed. Very involving and musical without the annoying 'audiophile' (i.e. bright, super-detailed, incisive) sound that too many speakers have. They played a piano piece that actually sounded like a piano!

      Same league as Dynaudio contour 20i or magico a1.

    Buy a set of Harbeth’s and you’ll never want another pair of speakers for the rest of your days, so value wise they’re a bargain

      Heard it. It’s very very good but not as much of an old rounder. Prefer Dynaudio

    Lots of good aniversary equipment coming out-LS50, Dynaudio 40..elac's miracord 90 then this.. Steve maybe you could do a comparison video bet LS50 active and the passive with some rotel amps like the rotels or arcam. love the videos keep em coming..

    • @morespinach9832
      @morespinach9832 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Very annoying when LS50 is mentioned in this league. Get over it. This is more in R3 league from the KEF world. Or Dynaudio contour 20i.

    Would Geddy Lee's or Chris Squire's rubbery and funky, percolating jazzy bass signature sound heavenly and orgasmic on the Harbeths?

    Whats your take away on the production on Everything Now? Its very "tight" in reference to the room sound. their is non lol but everything cuts threw great.. just not to much life in the mix. (No sign of life) Its not terrible but i definitely get the drift. Not a fan of the band but again the production/mix isnt to bad. Just wondering on your take on why.
    Keep the videos coming.

    Thanks for some very helpful and entertaining videos Steve! I am very interested in this speaker. What integrated amp might you recommend to go with the Harbeth? I am thinking something under $4,000?

    Well I like your Theories....but I would of also like to have see theses speakers!!!!! I do have a question if you could help it would be nice I have a adcom GAF 555 amp yes I no it's not krill or anything Fiancee but it's what I can afford anyway I'm using my old marantz 2270 as a preamp it does sound okay can you Recommend a preamp affordable that would be much better And it absolutely has to have a phono cuz I love my records I don't use the word vinyl cuz it's really not Vinyl it's PVC looking Forward to an answer thank you!

    • @1mctous
      @1mctous 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Don't let the snobs get you down. Adcom made really good solid-state amps, and the mighty GFA-555 has enough power for Magnepans (if there ever is enough). If you can only spend $129 on a phono preamp, the Schiit Mani 2 is the way to go.

    • @andrewcrain5461
      @andrewcrain5461 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Martin Tousignant I could spend about $300 on a Preamp I'm Just not sure what's the best for the adcom.?..

      @andrewcrain5461 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Martin Tousignant I've done Some research and they say the adcom preamp is not so good so I'm trying to stay away from it i can get one for $80 with the Remote but again I heard there preamp where not the best ? Please help lol

      For another $49 you could buy a passive Schiit SYS which is merely a very good volume control and 2-way switch. How many sources do you have?

    A legszebben szóló hangszórók a Harbethek amit valaha hallottam. Ezek az igazi referenciák. Csak azt nem értem Steve ha ennyire lenyűgözött és hasra estél tőle akkor miért nincsenek benne a tízes listádban? :)

    So.. Which one, the p3esr 40th Anniversary or M30.2 40th Anniversary?
    Mostly night listening at low to moderate volume. Room size, 3m x 3.5m. Amplifier, Leben CS-600.

    Apologies as there ARE many other speakers from other honest companies beating the harbeths at their own game: sounding more natural and musical, more accurate, transparent and open, than the harbeths. Harbeths are definitely not the last word in speakers that sound unforced, natural and open. My friends and i are thankful for our past harbeths we owned, but competition is great :) and there are other speaker designers more, if not equally, passionate and diligent about speaker creation and manufacturing.

    Yeah yeah yeah but it looks like something made in someones back shed .All those holes in the front , shoddy.

    • @QQ-td9id
      @QQ-td9id 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You shouldn't see those holes. According to the designer: "Harbeth speakers are designed to be used with the grilles fitted (on); thanks to the unique Harbeth SuperGrille, the frequency response is measurably flatter with the grilles fitted. This is the exact opposite with all other types of speakers. The tweeter performance is set to be just right when the grilles are fitted."
