We've got the Fortin NTS which is an awesome plugin, but I'm with you. As soon as I saw they'd done a Rabea plugin, all I could think was I wanted to see an Archetype Ola or something like that. Maybe get his heads like his Badlander, and some of the other gear he uses regularly.
Ola and Rabea bring two completely different tastes. To hear Ola play Rabea's tones took my ears on a field trip, in an amazing way. I loved hearing Ola's playing style, through a Rabea filter. 🤯
2 years ago I came across Rabea playing the signature Chapmans and I really loved the look and sound of the ML-Pro Baritone. Went and tried it out and for $1000 it is an absolute beast. The branded pickups sound almost on par with Fluence pickups and the neck is buttery smooth, action is low but not to the point of heavy buzz. It came very well set up. The combination of these things led me to believe Rabea has some real integrity with what he promotes.
I'm about to purchase this at some point today. Rabea has been in my top 5 guitarist I've been listening to for the past 5 + years. He has such a unique approach to his writing and playing 🤘💯
Just bought it... totally blown away! Here I am stuck to an old peavey red stripe looking for that melodic 80s sound for years... fun times ahead for sure with this plug in! ❤
This is probably THE most innovative and refreshingly new approach to possible guitar tones thus far technologically IMO. Here I've been all this time attempting to use analog pedals and tube preamps for direct to interface recording due to the inherent stigma of one supposedly being "better" than the other! Just Wow! Definitely an epiphany moment personally overall! This plugin is a genuine freakin' GAME CHANGER IMO! I can't wait to take full advantage of it's capabilities! Absolutely brilliant! Bravo!
i admit, this plugin is very convincing. especially the synth part is knockin it. seems to work flawless too, which isnt always the case with the guitar to synth solutions. i can tell you that as an owner of the fishman midi system. and you dont need a midi pickup here. the presets are giving an impression about the possiblities. well done. well done ola too of course
When I first discovered Rabea, I was blown away by his musicianship! When I heard of the plug-in I had to check it out. Plenty of fun!! Haven’t decided if I wanna buy the full version yet but definitely considering it!!
Somehow I missed this video until just now, but I'm thrilled you're checking it out! I'm going to make the purchase when Neural DSP has their next sale, haha. I fell in love with the synth and the pitch shifter. Rabea rips!!
Rabea is a tone monster! I actually discovered him through the cover songs. His playing on the cover of Africa and the solo are awesome! If it wasn't for Rabea then I wouldn't know who Neural DSP was. I wish this community was around when I started playing guitar. There was so much in fighting with the people who played when I was growing up. You either had to be a Metallica guy or a Megadeth guy. I liked both bands so I got weird looks or insults. After that, just stuck with myself.
Love it. My first guitar synth. This & Tim Henson make me happy. I especially love that even the most far out & psychedelic is instantly transferable to a live gig with Quad Cortex!
Ok the synthesizer stuff is really sick like holy shit. Sounds like they really nailed the tracking on it and it responds to bends and stuff nicely. So many cool sound opportunities!
Ola looks awesome whenever he does videos in this room because the fan makes him look like a norse god with the way the music overlaps the bellowing hair
Ola GREAT and great Thanks. Please make also a video about everything in connection with IRs. How to incorporate them in your Guitar Plug In/DAW. How do IR Players work. Where to get a player at a reasonable price. I know you once had short vid about IR, but for newbies in this field like me it is still something to learn about. And you are still the most competent guy out there in this whole universe to explain it to total nerds.🤘THX a lot
The most important feature here is the guitar to midi converter, it's the best Ive seen so far. They should release it as a standalone plugin so that it can be used with real synths as part of the signal chain. The built in synth is really limited and more of a gimmick The fuzz pedal is also pretty neat, the rest is whatever
@@auberginedreams00 You can't. They mean that the plugin takes your guitar signal, turns it into midi and then feeds it to the plugin's synth so you can play with that component. They have some nice guitar to midi tech going on inside this plugin but it's not accessible beyond it.
Was awesome seeing you get into it. I have it & love it and have barely scratched the surface on what it can do. PS WE NEED AN OLA & RABEA COLLABORATION at some point! You guys are my favorite two guitarists! I'd love to hear what you two do together!
OLA! Hi 👋🏼 The Rabea plugin presets sounds great. You always nail down great riffs and tones. I always come to your channel for the chug’s and dad jokes.
Dear Neural DSP. Ola Englund is the best candidate for a new plugin. He is a young Swedish guy with beautiful long hair, he knows metal and how to chug. What more do you need?
14:22 El risitas! Ola, you should do a reaction video to him and Jesús. Besides this, great review, man. You had a great time and it shows, also your faces here are top notch :D
I absolutely thought you were about to play the theme for the Diablo video game when you tried out the Whale Tones. Great review of this awesome new plug in.
Great sounding plugin. However, I assume it is converting audio to MIDI to control the synth so if they added the ability to send MIDI out to other synths and samplers, that would really put it over the top.
I think it is possible to control other synths (at least in the DAW itself) Rabea showed it somewhere in his deep dive on his channel if I remember correctly
7:03 - Sounds like a Sunn O))) preset! Seriously though, it's incredible how well the synth tracks. I don't think I've ever heard a synth pedal track half as well as that does.
If that synth can capture all of the notes and turn it into a midi file you could use on other vst instruments. That would save so much time trying to record solo if not harmony parts on keyboards.
Is Rabea a huge Elden Ring fan? The way the plugin looks, gives off that vibe lol. The design on the pedals, the names like Twin Blade and Chaos Bed(think this is a spell from Dark Souls).
after hearing alot of amp plugins, im starting to warm up and open to the idea of using these more often. I use a Trusty RP155 amp modeler and a audio interface and it has served me well. the demos have started to chang my mind of just going straight into the computer using my audio interface
That’s all I do for recording mate. I have a more entry level setup but I just plug my guitar straight into my Scarlett solo into my MacBook and use plugins on my DAW. Been messing around with the ML sound labs stuff and it’s great! For the budding bedroom producer it’s the simplest way for me 👌🏼👌🏼
Thank you so much for checking it out dude! ❤️❤️❤️ awesome :)
The synth with the arpeggiator is such a cool feature. Love it.
Now you just need an "Approved for chugging" stamp added
Rabea!!! Whussup dude
The synth sold me. Easily my favorite Archetype Neural has done.
We NEED a Rabea + Ola collaboration sometime! My two favorite guitarists!!
The day they release an Ola plug-in i'm gonna buy it for sure !! Cause it's gonna be the best one for metal for sure !!!
For sure
Ola's Tonex Rig/Profiles would be the best instead...
I think that might basically be the Fortin NTS Suite plugin
We've got the Fortin NTS which is an awesome plugin, but I'm with you. As soon as I saw they'd done a Rabea plugin, all I could think was I wanted to see an Archetype Ola or something like that. Maybe get his heads like his Badlander, and some of the other gear he uses regularly.
Do you mean an ola chug-in
10:16 legit best riff Ola ever came up with \,,/
He really knows what his fans like (shitty memes) because there definitely wasn't one decent metal riff in this whole joke of a video.
@@MichaelDespairs 🤓🤓🤓
Ola should perform at Shambala Festival with this riff 🥳
does sound like a dance rave

Are you serious? I watched the whole video and all the riffs were terrible. Are you really listening or just fangirling?
The Archetype Ola is gonna be immaculate

Maaan, these amp sims have come sooo far since the old podfarm days. Really need to try out these synths and crazy lead sounds, seems inspiring!
pod is still gnarly, just needs quality impulse responses
I'm sort of new to this, what program are these amp aims on?
@@dimebag77 They come as both a standalone program and as a VST plugin to be used in a DAW of your choice.

Rabea, straight up, plays his ass off. Stellar guitar player.
I just figured out SOLAR has Ola in the name.
Yo, I didn't realize that.
Half of the video and I'm already in love with this plug-in ... Those presets are so juicy
I just won this plugin in a drawing, I love every bit of it!
My two favorite TH-cam guitarists smashed together in such a surreal interaction....
I mean, I was happy when they added the tuner. This looks insane.
Think maybe you should have yourself bald and rock the new black curly afro, Ola!

There is plenty of Room for Clean Airy Tones in Metal/Progressive and this seems to have it dialed right out of the box.. Nice Demo Ola.!!!
Ola is being physically and mentally blown away in the video
I should say that is the most amazing blue finish on a guitar. Hope to see that in lefty version

Reminds me of Vernon Reid of In Living Colour also with the reverb and synth. So awesome. 🤘🏾
Love the Eye Of The Storm solo through that preset at 06:26 ;)
😱 getting an Archetype Ola next? Maybe with a doubler/trippler that feeds into different amps or caps to get even more brutal sounds.

Funny how many youtubers claim "tone" something in their name... but Rabea is clearly a tone master.
