Thanks for the love guys! Make sure you check out the tips on the high gain amp! I really wanted to shed some light on just how versatile it is using the tight knob!
Thanks for this. I've had your plug in for a few months, and being a more senior aged guitarist, who has inevitably reached the point of confusion with technology, this is a real help.
The amount of love and info you put out about your plugin is so awesome. I was blown away by the amount of presets that you made and included compared to other neural dsp plugins then i found your youtube and saw how much time you put into showing the ins and outs of it which made it an easy buy. Thanks for the video!
Can somebody help me with the following issue: everytime I play on the high gain amp I have to put the gate almost at 70% when I play palm mute to get it without hiss. This makes it impossible to get feedback or good pinch harmonics . Tried it on like 4 guitars....still no succes. Help would really be appreciated.
The plugin is the greatest thing I have ever bought, absolutely catapulted my album guitar ideas into completion 🤘🏻 cannot thank you Rabea and Neural enough ❤️
Thank You sir for this plugin. It's the only thing that starts with my Mac when I log in so I can just pick up my Stormbender and start playing straight away. Amazing plugin and it has helped me to fall in love with playing guitar once again. I've been playing for hours every day since this was released.
I've been playing around with this plugin all morning after buying it last night (with minutes to spare before the sale ended). Since I'm a Victory Amp and a QC user, and given that I play a Strat most of the time, I figured it would be right up my street. I wasn't wrong. Endless possibilities. I love the clean and medium gain channels. I haven't even scratched the surface of the high gain channel yet, but everything in the plugin is so usable. Great job, Rabea and the Neural team!
I've been using this for quite some time and it is simply INSANE how versatile this thing is. There's always a new cool sound of config to discover. If anyone was still thinking twice.... Stop and get it. Even if you only use one of the three amps, it's still well worth every penny.
I bought this plugin last week during the sale to replace my 'totally legally acquired' version of Guitar Rig 5 i was using for silent practice. My god has technology moved on these last couple of years. This plugin sounds immense and is really inspiring to play!
Just got this Plugin and I have to say I am totally blown away! Killer killer tones! I can't believe I'm playing a piece of software and not a real amp. If your on the fence about getting this plugin, just take the plunge. You won't be disappointed!
Dude, this was an awesome deep-dive/explanation/clarification. I was one of those folks wondering about the noise on the high gain amp, and after seeing this and adjusting my own approach a bit accordingly, it's so enjoyable. The plugin was great to begin with - the clean and pushed tones are absolutely stellar. But having a different perspective on the gain use here really gave me a better understanding of how to use the amp as a metal head who's sort of always just dimed an OD with the drive zeroed ahead of a high gain head haha. This video cleared up a bunch of misconceptions I had on the user-end, so thanks a ton, man. Glad to see you doing well, and cheers to future happiness, health, and success. And that EBMM looks stellar...
Thanks so much for doing this! Finally caved and bought it today after a couple of trial extensions - once I got my guitar perfectly setup it became so much better, love that i'm gonna be able to further improve things with these explanations now! Nice one Bea :)
I finally pulled the trigger on this and it's insanely good. I've tried just about all of them and this is easily the best "out of the box" sound I've ever had. Thanks a ton!
So happy you got to put this plug-in out man! I picked it up finally earlier today... I've previously just had the Plini/Wong plugins. I have been playing with it only a few hours but I wanted to say first of congratulations (fan of yours since 2016 when I took your Musicism course) and second HOLY F did you bring the presets!!! I have had so much fun with the synth especially and I'm still finding my way around. I like the addition of the Freeze feature on the verb too man, that will be a cool extra and also I find those to be a nice practice tool as well. I've barely scratched the surface but saw you posted this today and wanted to say again, thank you for all the work that went into making this, it's badass!
Thanks so much for this, Rabea. Loving this video and I wish others would go through their plugins in such a informative way. Learned quite a lot about how to dial in a great tone.
Thanks, bought your plug-in when it came out and love it. This tutorial helps and is very interesting in terms of the stories of the background. cheers
Yours is the best plugin for me mate. You just need to tweak it a little more than the others that come more out-of-the-box- ready. But I've achieved the best clean tones, ambient tones, slightly overdriven, breakup and high gain with this. I set it so I get Fender cleans and Marshall distortions. The fuzz with Octaver is to die for. The compressor is godsend. I'm not even mentioning the synth because that's just a cherry on top. Everything else is just THAT solid.
I greatly enjoy your videos ! Just purchased your signature archetype and can’t wait to start exploring your presets for synth sounds among other things!
Just want to say thank you! I love this plug in sounds great! I been following you for many years! I really love your style of playing and all the great music you created over the years. you are one of my favorit guitar players! keep up the great work! I also love the new guitar!!!!!
Picked up the plug-in yesterday it’s awesome 👏 so inspiring to play and record with, this video really has helped with understanding the plug-in and it’s potential 👌
I will say if you find the sweet spot on this amp sim it's about impossible to out do it there only 2 ampsims I use that are the only thing you need most of the time there's something missing I love tone chasing and this ampsim is awesomely inspiring well done rabea
thank you rabea for this video and the inspiration ! :) With this video, I understand more your plug-in and I buy it yesterday ! :) Fantastic plug-in, the tips on the high gain amp is on point and very usefull ! I don't know if it'll be possible to find a tight knob on an real amp but this feature is REALLY awesome ! completely change the feeling :) keep going with your music and congratulation for signing in ernie ball ! and btw your silo pickup are my favorite pickups
The plug-in is absolutely killer. I enjoy playing with it a lot from clean to bluesy to high-gain sounds. I'm not completely sold on the new guitar I have to admit. Hoping there will be other finishes and styles. It's the matte finish with the bright maple and gold hardware that doesn't quite hit my taste. It doesn't look as premium as the Sabre in my opinion. The maple would look great if it was darker, like the roasted maple neck. I'm also not entirely sure whether I prefer the Bare Knuckles over the Ernie Ball pickups in the Sabre. The Sabre is already a very versatile guitar. One thing I trust Rabea blindly is that the neck will feel absolutely amazing. I love the neck on my Chapman ML2 Bea Standard so much.
Thanks for making this video! This is such a great intro to the plugin. I didn’t really need another Neural plugin but I grabbed this over the weekend after playing with the demo. It has the perfect combination of versatility and usability, great presets, a fantastic selection of effects, and that super fun synth. Plus Dark Souls 😂
Man I just got your plugin and it exceeded my expectations. It sounds so incredibly good. Just like you said, plug and play. I don't have the best interface and my guitar isn't super expensive either, but your Archetype is miraculous. Thank you so, so, so much!! You can really tell the hard work and the fine ears involved in this.
Thanks, I was looking for something without too much overlap to go with Tone King for my first Neural DSP purchases. After seeing this video, hearing those tones and that synth, Rabea it is! 🔥
I love your plugin, man. Tbh honest noise was the reason I got it, 'cause all these heavily distorted massive tones blended with fuzz, octaver, and synth drive is something I was looking for. Now I can achieve the sound I was looking for with one plugin instead of three, and that's really cool. It's a great tool for ambient tones, walls of sound, and sound design. We really have lots and lots and lots of plugins that do tight "djenty" thing like Nameless, Omega, Nolly, Abasi, Cali, Gojira, and so on. But we don't have much Victory Kraken ampsims with fully functional synth that you can blend in however you like. I think that at this point we need more unique ampsims that do their own thing and do that well instead of another 5150 recreation. I personally want to see more stuff like Plini (beautiful cleans), Cory Wong (low gain blues/funk tones), Tim Henson (multivoicer), and your plugin. That said, great job on designing this thing!
Doing the trial now for this. Does sound sick and loved the fuzz pedals. Naturally going to try the lot of them but i picked yours first and so far its sweet
Thanks for the video, just got the plug in mostly for the synth, so far just managed daft noises but now youve helped me on my way to using it properly. Also, didnt realise what the amps are capable of ie the tight knob.... trying to write some Mick Gordon/cinematic style stuff, so reckon this plug in will probably do it all ..cheers for the help
I just bought the plugin yesterday and it's amazing!! I can spend hours lost in it, but I would like if you could explain a little more detailed how the doubler works.
It’s a sample delay based on the TC mimic. It literally shifts a mono signal into the stereo field, by adding a sample delay, which can be controlled by the dial there. 6.0ms is what it’s default is. It’s a pretty Cool effect.
Got it last Tuesday. What a great plugin. But I'm having problems recording with logic. The sound in the DAW isn't the same as standalone. It feels very different, even on the clean channel, it seems it has more gain, than on the standalone version (using the same presets). Feels more muddy. I'm I the only one with this issue? Is there any trick? I have buffer at 128/256 and low latency mode active. I open the plugin and choose mono to stereo, to be able to hear the delay and reverb. Using universal audio Apollo twin x. Thank you for all you wonderful work. You are a great inspiration my friend :)
Thanks for sharing all this knowledge Rabea ! i bought it with that Birthday sale, i do not regret it at all ! Since i can finally use the ''Transpose'' fonction, i started to learn Meshuggah - Bleed Having some troubles to reach that tone tho, if anyone in the comments have advices or a preset, it would be gladly welcome ! (using a Charvel DX1ST - Emg 81/85 - Transpose -6)
Hey Rabea, i am absolutely loving this plug in and it's versatility, i often sit there, discover a sound and end up completely forgetting what I was doing int he first place. i just had one question i am not sure I've found a definitive answer for, and that is; Can you use an expression pedal or momentary switch mapping to control blending of entire presets? For eg: fading between my clean preset into a high gain one? Perhaps someone else on here knows the answer!
Thank you! I love playing Diablo with mates - but this plug-in’s art style is heavily inspired by my love for FromSoftware games - Dark Souls, Bloodborne and Elden Ring :)
Really love this plug in - the synth sounds insane and the lead channel sounds raw and aggressive. I've had it since it was released last year but I've been busy with work and school so I cant wait to dig into it this summer. Planning to use it for some live shows I've got coming up!
Hi Rabea, you are my music inspiration so far. Will you pls share the complete setup of your video making like this as an example, I mean in terms of audio and video? That would be awesome. Thx before!
Hey Rabea, there's a little bug on your archetype (which I couldn't replicate with Gojira/Nolly/Plini/Petrucci) and I tried telling Neural DSP but it went nowhere. When I use gradient tempo increase over let's say 8 bars in my project the CPU usage goes through the roof to the point where even a really good system can't keep up with an almost empty project. It's as if it's recalculating the algorithm with every tiny BPM increase. Initially I thought maybe it's the reverb/delay that's causing this problem but disabling them makes no difference. Maybe it's a DAW issue (I use Reaper), but as I mentioned earlier it's not a problem with other Neural plugins. So, if you ever get a chance let them know. Thanks! Edit: just remembered when I was figuring this out I used 2 plugins to imitate a stereo setup, and a way to slightly circumvent this problem was to use VST3 plugin on one of those and VST2 on another. Hopefully this info will help narrow it down.
Im pretty sure blackstar has some amps that let you mess with the filter bands in the preamp section. Not sure if its a knob, or just different settings for it, but im pretty sure they let you do that. Its probably in their modeling amps, but i vaguely remember watching a video interview on Khole Audio Kult's channel with an amp designer from blackstar and this feature was mentioned. At the time i thought it was a very cool idea and can only assume amp companies haven't offered it as a feature, because the filtering in the preamp section is probably part of a given amp brand's "signature" sound etc.
It’s most likely something different - I only say that because I was told by the guys at neural, but also Martin Kidd at victory. At least in the way it’s designed in the plugin, that particular approach isn’t something that’s been done. I probably explained it wrong. I can’t exaclty remember the technical term for where the filter is placed but I remember them saying it’s just not possible in the analogue domain. 🤷♂️
@@RabeaMassaad I should go back and rewatch that video. Like I said, vague memory, and he very well could have been talking about something they're working on in the modeling domain, or a completely different circuit implementation all together. I truly have no idea what I'm talking about here. Thanks for the reply! Made my day! Shout out from Tennessee, USA!
This is a fantastic plugin. It was my first Neural DSP plugin, and remains my favorite. I am curious though - is there a reason that an LFO wasn’t included in the Synth section? Being able to apply an LFO to the cutoff and/or resonance would have added an interesting element. Was this just overlooked from a design standpoint, or were there technical limitations for making it work?
Thanks for the love guys! Make sure you check out the tips on the high gain amp! I really wanted to shed some light on just how versatile it is using the tight knob!

Hey Rabea, can you post the doom preset at minute 23:00. That sounds amazing. Great meeting you at NAMM. Cheers
Let me jupt say that I am a Petrucci fan but I end up getting your plugin because of the synth and ambient presets. Well worth it at 50% off.
The synth portion of the plugin might be the best in the market right now. It has so much potential, it is crazy.
I am 52 years old an getting back to playing. The clean tones from this software is amazing. Thanks for the time and tips
This video is worth it’s weight in gold!
It’s a video therefore has no weight…are you implying there is no value?? Heresy!!
The plugin is the greatest thing I have ever bought, absolutely catapulted my album guitar ideas into completion 🤘🏻 cannot thank you Rabea and Neural enough ❤️
Having the Synth explained to me has now made me jump in and mess with it more, its crazy inspiring for tracks
Thank You sir for this plugin. It's the only thing that starts with my Mac when I log in so I can just pick up my Stormbender and start playing straight away. Amazing plugin and it has helped me to fall in love with playing guitar once again. I've been playing for hours every day since this was released.
When I saw the 50% off I totally knew it was the chance to get your archetype. The more I dig it, the better it gets
I've been playing around with this plugin all morning after buying it last night (with minutes to spare before the sale ended). This plugin is really great!! Brutal!!
Also the most creative thing I’ve seen on Neural, by far away. Great work!!
I was so stoked when Neural dropped this. Ended up getting it day 1 and rarely use another amp when recording. Seriously, job well done!
Love this plugin - so much fun, especially with the synth!
I've been using this for quite some time and it is simply INSANE how versatile this thing is.
There's always a new cool sound of config to discover.
If anyone was still thinking twice.... Stop and get it. Even if you only use one of the three amps, it's still well worth every penny.
My fav plugin! I love the diversity of tones that you can achieve using this. Love your playing brother!
I just got it yesterday. It's SO versatile! I love it.
I bought this plugin last week during the sale to replace my 'totally legally acquired' version of Guitar Rig 5 i was using for silent practice. My god has technology moved on these last couple of years. This plugin sounds immense and is really inspiring to play!
Picked up the Rabea plugin. It is endlessly inspiring with some of the most cinematic tones I’ve ever made.
Do I need a synth guitar to do the synth part
@ no it uses the signal from your normal guitar
This is hands down the best Neural plugin. I have been able to get the best rock tones with this.
Just got this Plugin and I have to say I am totally blown away! Killer killer tones! I can't believe I'm playing a piece of software and not a real amp. If your on the fence about getting this plugin, just take the plunge. You won't be disappointed!
Took on the trial for this yesterday. Bought it after the 5th preset. So musical and fun, and the amps are just 🔥.
Such a great plugin. Very happy for you dude!
Amazing plugin! Thank you for working to bring us such an awesome product.
Thanks, Pete! And Rabea! You’ve sold me!
Dude, this was an awesome deep-dive/explanation/clarification. I was one of those folks wondering about the noise on the high gain amp, and after seeing this and adjusting my own approach a bit accordingly, it's so enjoyable. And that EBMM looks stellar...
Thanks Rabea for the insight! This is now my favorite plug-in…it took a lot to unseat Plini!!
I just bought your plugin on Friday. Absolutely perfect timing for this breakdown
I got mine during the birthday sale. Love this plugin! Congrats Rabea with Ernieball and thank you for this plugin. 🙏🏻
Mate, I'm in no means a digital (let alone plugin) guy, but this is spectacular!
Happy birthday golden hand!!! Have a great one!
Thanks so much for doing this! Finally caved and bought it today after a couple of trial extensions - once I got my guitar perfectly setup it became so much better, love that i'm gonna be able to further improve things with these explanations now! Nice one Bea :)
Bought this, this morning on the back of this video. Absolutely awesome. Cheers Rabea 🤟
oh man...just bought this awesome plugin and have to say, it's AWESOME. So thank you
Thank you Rabea! Outstanding plugin! You are such an inspiration.
I finally pulled the trigger on this and it's insanely good. I've tried just about all of them and this is easily the best "out of the box" sound I've ever had. Thanks a ton!
I was iffy on my first Neural plugin, but when you covered the high-gain amp that sold me. Definitely making this my first.
I've barely scratched the surface but saw you posted this today and wanted to say again, thank you for all the work that went into making this, it's badass!
Nice one ! The explanation of the high gain amp is so useful. Look forward to the expression pedal control demo with the synths.
Having this and the Gojira plugin makes me feel set for life with guitar tones! Amazing plugin
Very useful! I really like this plugin :) Thank you Rabea!
I love that the focus is on how fun the presets are, even though they're mostly just fucking brutal!
Just want to say thank you! I love this plug in sounds great! I been following you for many years! I really love your style of playing and all the great music you created over the years. you are one of my favorit guitar players! keep up the great work! I also love the new guitar!!!!!
How to dial in…: load default, grab a Strat -> perfection!
Simply love it!

keep going with your music and congratulation for signing in ernie ball !
and btw your silo pickup are my favorite pickups
just picked up the plug in as my first. it was easy to set up and is super fun to use
Man I just got your plugin and it exceeded my expectations. It sounds so incredibly good. Just like you said, plug and play. I don't have the best interface and my guitar isn't super expensive either, but your Archetype is miraculous. Thank you so, so, so much!! You're the absolute man Bea, so much highly useful info, and always a pleasure watching you play. You have an amazing style my dude.
Love this Plugin, I've chosen this one in the sale and Parallax🤘Maybe you could show us some tips and tricks to combine these two? Would be awesome 😍
Thank you for the rig rundown. This unlocked so much awesomeness. The synth part was confusing until you explained it... it's a fantastic playground.

I love your plugin, man. Tbh honest noise was the reason I got it, 'cause all these heavily distorted massive tones blended with fuzz, octaver, and synth drive is something I was looking for. Man, as a guitar player who got into synths a while ago, gotta say that this sounds amazing
Definitely going to pick this up before the birthday sale ends. The amps sound great but that synth really sold it for me. You’re awesome dude
Same here !
Doing the trial now for this. Does sound sick and loved the fuzz pedals. Naturally going to try the lot of them but i picked yours first and so far its sweet
This is gold - thank you! Would be wonderful for every one of these plug-ins to have a similar walkthrough but so nice to have for Archetype: Rabea!
Thanks for the video, just got the plug in mostly for the synth, so far just managed daft noises but now youve helped me on my way to using it properly. Had to with this sale! Great video and plug-in man. Hope you're keeping well.
Also signature strat when?
Im using your plugin in trial version, today i bought it. So mamy good sounds, very versalitle

Archetype Bea + Parallax on Bass 🙌soundscape heaven. 🤘✌️
love this amp, gonna jam on it later and put all the knobs to 11!
grabbed the plugin for this birthday sale, it absolutely rips. and the synth is super fun 🤘❤🔥 hope i can write some cool stuff with it
love this plugin. This was helpful.
Hell of a player and a great plug in

excited to try these tips out!
Thanks for sharing all this knowledge Rabea !
i bought it with that Birthday sale, i do not regret it at all !

Having some troubles to reach that tone tho, if anyone in the comments have advices or a preset, it would be gladly welcome !

I already own the plugin. This video sold it again for me :)
today i bought your plugin. It's great.
Best neural plugin in my opinion if you’re looking for more than a super high gain sound
Also ❤Karnivool. Killer hoodie
Nice jangly tones sounds great
Very nice!
It does some very nice heavy tones.
Not QUITE as nuclear as Nameless but it still rips.
Awesome video, thanks !
And now I need this plugin.
I have literally no idea what he’s talking about half the time but that only makes me want the plug-in more
I love the Kraken, and synth tones, so picking this up when it came out was a no brainer for me.
Loving your plugin.
I love the art style of this. Very Diablo-esque.
Thank you! I love playing Diablo with mates - but this plug-in’s art style is heavily inspired by my love for FromSoftware games - Dark Souls, Bloodborne and Elden Ring :)

Liking the mini fro!
Really great fuzz! So crunchy and clear! But… what ndsp plugins have such enormous sustain and so unnatural attack?
