Loving the dicing that classic racing provides. Highlights everything that’s wrong and boring with F1. Also love the Imp although I’m a little biased, having grown up in a Rootes Group family dealership. Drove plenty of Imp’s back in the day. Great racing Will and fantastic commentary. You have a great future either side of the microphone.
Ah the Hillman Imp, every mans runaround lol, in it day a great little "family" car, one that you wouldn't expect to see on a race track, looks like great fun and hard work keeping that thing online and on the boil. Thank you for a great video and commentary as you drove this classis "race" car.
Looks a lot faster than 1 minute and a little bit..Makes me feel good as in 1980 i had my first ever drive in my newly purchased ,prepared Mason Stiletto and did the same laps times.. Never ever driven a race car before that of my own but those odd school cat trials. But it was a Special Saloon 1000 ,cc in period on 8 & 9" slicks. The previous owner of the car was David Enderby who was there to help, and he went out on a cruise doing some 55 second laps. I was told that i was doing fine for starting off for the first time but i would have to lose a massive 8 seconds to win a race at Brands. Sadly throughout that year i never ever even finished a race.. As another comparison i read that Roger Nathan was doing 1 minute laps in the Costin Nathan GT, which i believe were using the same tyres at the time as you "CR 65" ! Another great video from you giving lots of information should i ever return to Imp racing. One never knows what is around the corner.

Haha. Indeed. It's a shopping car at heart but handles beautifully on track as you can see. Thanks for the support.

Well done again another great race the videos from inside the car are amazing to watch
On the edge!
Always!
Great video Will!
But what happened to that dark blue imp? Only saw him at the start?🤔🤔
Thanks. Ah he drove well in to the distance at the front. Finished P4 in fact. It was an explosive race for him but not as much as at Castle Combe...
