Archeological Evidence for the Bible that won't be published in your Lifetime

  • Learn about the archeological evidence for the Bible that hasn't been published, and probably won't be for the next 10,000 years. Similar to what Frank Turek, William Lane Craig, Josh McDowell, Ravi Zachariad, and Lee Strobel do, this apologetics channel seeks to give the evidence that God exists, and that Christianity is true.
In my previous video, • Archaeological Discove...
I showed the archeological evidence for the reliability of the Gospels.
In this video, I specifically look at the Oxyrhynchus Papyri, which are a collection of papyri that still remain largely untranslated. This archeological discovery is concerned with one of the most important archeological discoveries in history.
In this channel, I want to help people find an answer to the question "Does God exist?" I specifically plan to focus on the reliability of the Gospels, the evidence for the Resurrection, and the authorship of Paul's epistles. I'm also interested in the evidence for God outside of the Bible.

Don’t worry about what has been hidden from us by others in regard to the written scriptures. Jesus said that to the Pharisees that they searched them for salvation. The scriptures have told us the Holy Spirit is our teacher. No matter what has been hidden trust that the SPIRIT can reveal it. Be blessed ❤️

Absolutely. So many are more concerned with the so called removed books while neglecting to study what we have, which is everything we need. Is God Almighty not powerful to preserve all that is needed for those who seek? Some of the early believers had access to only one or a couple letters. And even this was enough. All we need is Jesus. If you know the gospel, the real gospel, for us, the gentiles, today: 1 Corinthians 15: 1-4. Four verses and youre good. The word says the stories of what He did would fill the whole world if they were written down..but God has preserved everything we need, in the shortest, simplest, but fully comprehensive, means possible.

I just got goosebumps...remember the scripture that mentions that If all the miracles that Jesus did were recorded, all the books in the world wouldn't be able to hold or contain them..John 21:25 "And there are also many other things which Jesus did, which, if they should be written every one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that should be written. Amen." ... I always thought that was just an exaggeration. It wasnt. There were also books taken out of the 1611 King James Bible in the 1800s which should still be included. So called scholars got rid of the Apocrypha, even though several books in the Apocrypha were quoted by Jesus or His disciples and they wouldn't quote anything that wasn't God's word. The Book of Adam and Eve blew my mind and made me see everything in a new light, adding context to the struggles of Adam and Eve after leaving the garden. The book of Enoch also holds a lot of information valuable to followers of Christ. Test EVERYTHING using the scriptures. May the Holy Spirit lead us all to the truth. God bless.

The Dead Sea Scrolls, also called the Qumran Caves Scrolls, are a set of ancient Jewish manuscripts from the Second Temple period.
They were discovered over a period of 10 years, between 1946 and 1956, at the Qumran Caves near Ein Feshkha in the West Bank, on the northern shore of the Dead Sea. Dating from the 3rd century BCE to the 1st century CE,[1] the Dead Sea Scrolls are considered to be a keystone in the history of archaeology with great historical, religious, and linguistic significance because they include the oldest surviving manuscripts of entire books later included in the biblical canons, along with extra-biblical and deuterocanonical manuscripts that preserve evidence of the diversity of religious thought in late Second Temple Judaism. At the same time, they cast new light on the emergence of Christianity and of Rabbinic Judaism. [2] Almost all of the 15,000 scrolls and scroll fragments are held in the Shrine of the Book at the Israel Museum, located in the city of Jerusalem. The Israeli government's custody of the Dead Sea Scrolls is disputed by Jordan and the Palestinian Authority on territorial, legal, and humanitarian grounds - they were mostly discovered following the Jordanian annexation of the West Bank and were acquired by Israel after Jordan lost the 1967 Arab-Israeli War[3] - whilst Israel's claims are primarily based

But if roughly half of our oldest manuscripts have come from the small percentage that already has been translated, then it is extremely likly that the mountain if stuff that hasn't been touched yet will contain yet much more biblical manuscrip evidence. Because the odds that we have already pieced through all the biblical manuscript evidence therein just by happenstance is an absurd conclusion to draw.

Glory, Honor, blessings, thanks and praise to the Lord my God,
for healing my heart during a heart attack!
    On March 26th 2022,
    just past midnight,
I was laying restless in bed,
and I had a heart attack.
My arms and legs became tingly and numb,
    then my chest got tighter,
and then my heart felt like it was being crushed.
So I sang out to God and Jesus,
    about my pain, my feelings,
    my faults and my inabilities.
As I sang, I began to feel like a river,
and a hand was on my back,
it's fingers where skimming the surface,
    separating the waters,
    causing ripples through my body.
Then the hand reached inside my chest,
    lit my heart on fire,
and the heat moved like waves through my body.
    When I was done singing,
    all the pain was gone,
and I looked at the clock,
    it was past 1am,
I had been singing near an hour.
Then the voice of my guardian angel called my name from above,
and there was a hymn of energy in the air,
the same hymn I hear in my dreams of God.
Hallelujah to the Lord my God for healing my heart!
Hallelujah for His son Jesus for saving my soul!
    Hallelujah for every day!
    Hallelujah for every breath!
The Lord is Faithful and true!
May the Lord Bless your hearts,
so that you have the will and strength to turn from selfish sins,
and flee from the slaveries of the flesh!

Interesting that Bart Ehrman responded to your inquiry. I do think he has an axe to grind with Christianity but he is also very knowledgeable. I too would like to know what these lost writings have to say but keep in mind that we already have countless ancient documents that relate to sayings of Jesus and the experiences of Paul, Peter and the Apostles. Many of these were accepted by different Christian communities as reliable in the early centuries after the death of Christ. Several were very close to becoming part of the Canon but for various reasons the early Church considered them either forgeries or false doctrines and not suitable for our current Bible. I have enjoyed reading several of these ( especially the Apocalypse of Peter & 1st Clement) but as a Christian I guess we have to accept the fact that if we were supposed to have these in the Bible they would be there! Still many are good reads and every bit as relevant as as works by current Christian scholars and leaders. Billy Graham is not considered "Gospel" but still worthwhile to read.

We already have access, either on full or in part, to 31 additional gospels, with various inconsistencies or controversies associated with all of them. The Gospels that were chosen for the version of the Bible that was handed down to us today, were the ones that all matched the closest in terms of dogma and tradition. So if another gospel did come about due to this, they also would likely end up as apocryphal, and not considered canon by the majority of the Christian population.

Like we don't know the actual authors of the gospels, but we know the actual authors of the declaration of Independence, or mein Kampf, or Romeo and Juliet, or the Communist manifesto etc. So what actually determines accuracy and reliability? We know that Paul only wrote six of the books attributed to him. Doesn't that call the accuracy and reliability of the biblical text into question? Or what about more hyperbolic books like The book of Revelation? Scholars know what the book of Revelation is about, but if you listen to most Christians, talk about the book of Revelation, they believe that it's about things that have yet to come, that it's some kind of prophecy, and that is factually untrue. So even the interpretations of the book are inaccurate and unreliable. So please define for me, what would you consider accurate and reliable?

it's not quite that bad, Islam has only been around since the 7th century (622 is the beginning of their calendar), and you're assuming they knew what the documents said in order to think they were "heretical" and destroy them. and 1,399 years, while a long time to us, is not "a few millennium." Arab Christians would have preserved texts just as Christians of other ethnicity and languages of the time. the idea of people destroying texts on purpose to suppress them is certainly scary, but just as we shouldn't promote the false history of say the Great Library of Alexandria, we also shouldn't promote conspiracies about mass text destruction of "the Arabs" (although it is historical fact that during the time of Uthman, variations of the Quran were destroyed, though traces of material from before that time still survive).

It's the written account (which itself could be fiction), of another story which could be fictional, about a 3rd person that may or may not have seen or done something we can't verify. That's not Archeology. Finding a scroll is archeology and it provides evidence that there were people of that period that wrote down stories. It doesn't speak to the evidentiary quality of what was written. At All. You're just making the same, tired, apologist's Category Error Fallacy and it's annoyingly transparent.

The god of the Old Testament was a demi-god, the god Jehovah of the Jews. Jesus Christ brought in the message of the real God in the New Testament, the God of Love. Also, regarding salvation, reincarnation, which is intertwined with salvation,, was removed and banned from the early Christian Scriptures by the Roman Emperor Justinian in 553 CE at the Second Council of Constantinople. In reality, we save ourselves and the planet through becoming fully spiritually, consciously enlightened . You cannot do that in one lifetime. Christ was the fastest and first to do this, showing the Way. His Second Coming, as promised in the New Testament, will be here within 100 years, though probably not in the exact role of His first.
