    Neat idea to throttle the valve down. I would of never in my life thought of that. Thanks👍

      Is that just a normal three position service valve or something else? Can't blow up the phone screen any bigger. Throttling down the suction pressure to the compressor lowers the amp draw?

    It's a thing of beauty to watch a man that is really good at his job. It doesn't matter what he's doing, if he's really good at it, it's just impressive to sit back and watch him work. Little uni-T gettin' it done.

    i am glad you checked the pressures and washed the condenser,it probably recirculates the hot air,it should not short cycle.38 amps sounds like a bad run cap,running on start kit.

    Years ago, I was still F&B operations at the time, but always had an eye on equipment and often checked condensers for dust and crud or things blocking airflow.... At one of our new facility's grand opening took a stroll around back and see that the walk in condenser was installed flat on the concrete near a gutter downspout. Think, "hey that shouldn't like that.. let me help". Shut off power, cleaned up leaves and pollen from around the unit. Upon start up, freaked the #$%! out at that it was starting and stopping with bang and a clang!

    I had that very same call about ten years ago. "The other companies said the same thing," said the angry customer.
    But that time I took pictures of the equipment tags and showed the customer my service hand book and explained that the breaker was the wrong rating.
    He just got madder.

    Good Vid ! ( Ftngot ) When installing Condensing units , package units , whatever , Allways Size Breaker at the Maximum Breaker size. If u Dont More often than not It WILL bite u in the Azz on the Hottest busiest day of the year. Whether it be Air conditioning or refrigeration. ALLWAYS SIZE Breaker at Max Recommended.

    • @throttlebottle5906
      @throttlebottle5906 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      looked like a cobbled in retrofit, using the existing breaker and judging by wire 30A is max (10awg it seemed to be), also either water(salty) was entering panel and running out leaving white crust or they make dough with flour and kick it up everywhere. hehe

  • @OcRefrig

    Im suprised u did not check the run cap ? Maybe off camera ? A Low Mfd on Run cap will Give high amps. Maybe its a tad low ?
