Doctor Who Magazine provided a pretty good explanations for the multiple Atlantis': The theory goes that Azal helped release Kronos to destroy Atlantis and the survivors of the original travelled to an island in the Atlantic ocean where they still called it Atlantis but was then destroyed by Zarroff in The Underwater Menace. Not perfect but this theory makes more sense than the multiple Atlantis'!
I wish I had been older than 3 the year this Dr Who, series was aired say aged 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20 or even 20 plus. I also say this series of classic Dr Who is some and some and my favourite story, was the Curse of Peladon which had the Ice Warriors as heroes not as villains for a change. It was a shame that Pertwees era did not have the Cybermen, in their own story but there we are.
Methinks the Tenth Doctor was talking about how that specific incarnation never would, ironic considering what happened to the Sycorax leader (and possibly the Family of Blood, though he gave them exactly what they wished for, just not how they wanted it). It seems every other Doctor after Six got darker after Six regenerated. Seven was a mastermind who manipulated people. War fought the Time War. Ten was all "no second chances." Twelve was more pragmatic and drastic. (I don't know if the Meta-Crisis throws this off or not.)
On Sound of Drums, my guess is that the Master is seeing how things have changed on Earth compared to his time in the 70's, and he laughs because he thinks we've regressed in some ways

I think whilst Delgado’s Master was definitely trolling that guy with what he was doing, the Simm Master, like the crazy bastard we know him to be, actually does believe in the Teletubies. Delgado and Simm are both separate incarnations of the same guy, and ones that are very far off from each other time-wise, after all, so it makes perfect sense why they can be doing this watching differently from each other. Even though they are the same time lord, they are not only both way off down the timeline from each other from where both stand in time, but are fundamentally different people! But that’s just my silly headcanon. Feel free to correct me if I’m wrong, and I’ll respect your opinion nonetheless. Anyway, bye! 👋🏻
So you do realise that regeneration changes the doctor's personality, and because of that yes while the 3rd doctor may willingly gun down Agrums; the, let's say, 10th or 11th doctor might not.
DiamandaHagan to be fair, I think it would make this a bit more palatable if he said, I would never do that again. Given that in the story Doctors Daughter, he is dealing with soldiers fighting what could be seen as a senseless war of simple misunderstanding. Given that he was a veteran of a truly devastating war across time, space and reality itself, he had to do a lot of things he wasn't proud of our of necessity. But those things still haunt him, and he doesn't ever want to be like that again. But the fact that he was tempted to do so against someone that tried to kill him and instead shot his daughter is meant to illustrate the kind of rage and revenge any parent may be tempted to enact against someone that has committed an act of senseless violence against their child.
in my opinion the "must see" episode of the season is day of the daleks well the special edition version, the reason is because they added some scenes that was not in the original and gave the daleks new who voices also the story is good in my opinion
