    Excellent! One of the great things about your tutorials is that they teach individual steps that can be used not just for the end result that you're teaching (in this case time-lapse), but also as stepping stones for a wide variety of processes and effects in PD. Thanks!!!

    Another option, when I do my Blender animations, I use PD to put it together. I save each frame in Blender, as a .png and import to PD. Then, instead of hitting timelapse, I just hit the duration for the frames to be 1 frame instead of the 5 second that are automatically given in PD. Now I have done the same thing you did, but, no bars on the side and no loss of picture or distortion. I was going to say more, but, I had a memory lapse? Thank you sir, I always start my Saturday's with your smiling face !!

      That's how I shifted time lapse sequence throughout entire video, so that the drive down 8 mile trail starts out normal speed, then every 3 frame segments in time line default, is increased in speed little by little, to look from the start of 30 mph, to near the end of trail to simulate 243mph, then last 500 ft the speed brakes come on to a soft gradual stop at stop sign.. The background music matched the speed as well.
      Thankfully, the gradual speed increase looks genuine through the first sector of tight turns, then the speed gets seriously insane gradually on main straight sector of trail going through the forest.
      But the vehicle in real time never went over 45 mph pulling heavy trailer load, also helped keep the video very stable.
      Without the trailer, project would maybe be scrapped. No load 4wheel drive trucks are not a Caddy Cruise on rough dirt road.
      The setup was just padded media to keep the Lumix camera tight up against windshield, but make absolute certain both sides of glass are triple scrubbed clean, and zero reflection artifacts.
      One of these days I upload it.

    Great tutorial. I followed right along and it worked great. I do have a question on another issue. I have some custom saved titles that I can see on my computer in the C: directory file list. The problem is that when I go to the Title Room there are no custom titles listed. None show up but they are definitely on my computer. They were there just a few weeks ago but now they are not there. I have PD 16.0. Any suggestion on how I can make my custom titles show up on the custom tab in the Title Room would be most appreciated. Thanks so much.

    • @PDU_Tutorials
      @PDU_Tutorials  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Not sure why they’re not showing up. Could be that a new folder was created or the files were moved to a new folder. Check the PowerDirector forum for the default custom title location and make sure your custom titles are there.

      Hello Maliek. As I’m looking into editing & producing Star Trail videos from night time time lapses it appears that the images have to be stacked in order to get the effect. I see that a lot of people are using the editing program called Starstax then rendering in DaVinci Resolve 18. It sure would be nice to be able to achieve Star Trails videos in Cyberlink PowerDirector. I love PD.

    • @TorstenVillnow
      @TorstenVillnow 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      When generating the time-lapse within the camera you won't have a chance to do any processing on the images, if deemed needed or desired. I therefore prefer creating the time-lapse "outside" of the camera, although my Lumix includes that capability.

    • @kthx1138
      @kthx1138 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      If you're doing time-lapse as still images, the camera will NOT make the stills into a time-lapse video in camera--it'll just be a bunch of still images. You still need editing software like PD to accomplish this.

    • @tuffahj1
      @tuffahj1 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    I'll need to find who does training of this app on Android, and the issues of doing so. Usually I get bogged down in edit mode on cell phone where logical steps get difficult to figure out. When something changes, options menu stack should automatically appear to choose from that work, vs pick & guess that don't. Then kill bubble tips when mastered.

    I can't believe how rinkidink powerdirector is for doing this. I have 3000 images i'm doing a timelapse on. You can only import 2500 at a time, so i already had to separate them into 2 different folders just so i could import them. Then, power director is so sluggish both importing them, adding them to timeline, editing the timelapse, etc etc. It's also very slow to produce videos. only looks like it uses 4 of my 6 cores to render the videos (intel I7-8700K, with samsung nvme hard drive, 64gb ram, nvidia 1070TI graphics). I think it only uses 1 or 2 cores the entire time I am using the application, which is why it is so slow.
