Aurora Aksnes, born in Bergen, Norway. Better live than on record.
Her real name is actually "Aurora Aksnes", and she turns 27 next month (June 2023) and she has 3 albums and 2 EPs released so far, and she writes all of the music and lyrics.
You should react to her live performances because her voice is just as good live, and she is amazing to watch, she really lives and breathes the music.
6:40 "Imagine though that she just got all scary and dark". 🙂 Her song "In Boxes" is about a female serial killer hiding the bodies in boxes under her bed, and the song "In Bottles" is also about this woman.
Apparently there was a "scary lady" living in her childhood neighborhood that the children were afraid of, and Aurora has a vivid imagination.
Infections Of A Different Kind and A Different Kind Of Human are my favorite work of hers. I think she really made everything very magical and atmospheric in a way that you can go on a trip with the sound of her music. I’m a huge fan and I feel so happy when I see people who also love her 💜

Aurora Aksnes released her first album in 2016 and has released 57, i think, original songs and many covers. Aurora is the recipient of 3 Spellman awards "Norwegian Grammy" .
The chime sound you hear at the beginning and throughout the song is the Kalimba, a thumb harp instrument played by Aurora herself.
Keep going, she has many different styles of music including some real bangers. Try Chruchyard.
She is a truly well rounded musician, writing the lyrics and composition, co-producing her music, co-directing her videos and lets not forget that voice. I believe Aurora is the best artist writing, producing and performing at the moment. Her ability to convey complex ideas in simple verse, as only a true poet can, and her ability to express so much emotion as she performs is unequaled at this time.
The arrangement of this track is amazing, it has more pieces than a jigsaw puzzle.

I'm late to the game, but the only reason I've heard of Aurora is bc she sang for the Frozen 2 soundtrack and it was so hauntingly beautiful that it caught my attention and I HAD to look into her further. I'm liking what I'm hearing.

If you think she's got a scary quality to her, then you should check out her song "In Boxes" where she takes on the role of a psychopathic serial killer :) It isn't a song people typically react to early in their Aurora journey, as it's not one of her "greatest" hits, but its super cool and very interesting. It especially manages to capture the feeling "happy insanity" in a great way.
She’s such an amazing artist, I’m always blown away by her way of thinking, how she puts her ideas into the songs… she’s just outstanding imo. I love her so much as person too, she’s the sweetest creature 💜

I won't lie and say I take any of what I said back....because I definitely feel that way, about everyone who does it too. But I didn't mean to full on go after you like that. Life's too short to seriously get that worked up over something so small lol. I guess I just genuinely love reaction videos, especially Aurora ones, but find it beyond frustrating when the song is paused after literally every single section. Maybe I just gotta walk away from reaction videos? idk..
I did see this one guy who did Aurora's song I Went Too Far, which is a gorgeous song with a brilliant but simple chord progression and an emotionally gorgeous melodic motif at the end of each measure....and he literally paused it *_every 5 seconds_* to let everyone know how good it was. You'd get like 1 or 1 1/2 chords...and then him going "woah, dude, her voice....it's just unreal man. like....i mean, so good. alright let's get back into it." Then another chord, _maybe_ two chords, and then, "are you kidding me? she's so good...i mean, dude, wow, really? how is she so good? like....wow." Then another chord, followed by, "wow. her voice is just, like, so good. know what i mean? it's like...just so good. seriously." Ad nauseum.........
It's a 4 minute song. And halfway through his 20 minute "reaction" video I literally had to walk away from my computer, go outside, and try to calm down lol. It was......so frustrating that it crossed over into being baffling in a Sisyphean or Kafkaesque sort of way. It made me irrationally upset. I wanted to take him by the shoulders and say "what are you DOING? in what world does this make sense to you??"
I need to go to bed. -___-
Does people in USA go to school, or are they just talking all the time, trying to talk over the other person ?... If you are going to experience Aurora, you need to stop talking and listen... with the heart
