Great reaction, guys! Aurora is amazing. You guys were wondering if this was going to take a dark turn. No, but its sister song, "Potion for Love" kind of does, in that it's about lost love. She wrote them both at the same time, so both sides were represented. The Vevo live version is awesome! 👍 🤟

This was her first love song, written in 2017 together with “A Potion for Love” which is seen from the other perspective.
She didn’t feel it was the right time to release “Exist for Love”, but in 2020 (because of covid) she felt it was the right time and that we all needed a love song

It also is a play on the Botticelli painting "The Birth of Venus," where Venus (who is the Roman goddess of Love, and in Greek mythology is Aphrodite) is coming out of the sea within the same shell.
She uses 2 Leonard Cohen lyrics in this, which fit in really well, from 2 different songs of his. The first line she sings is one of his, from his song "There is a War". And "leaning into love and lean there forever..." from Suzanne.

The first line of this is the first line of a Leonard Cohen song - There is a War . She is inspired by his writing also a line or two of his song Suzanne "we are leaning for love" etc are in this song.

Cool 😊. Initially too sugary sweet for my taste, but won me over (as she tends to), after some lovely live versions . Same as always, if the album version doesn't hit me right away, her live versions will. The amount of emotions she puts into her performances... So much great stuff by now, but "Churchyard" live at KEXP, "Under The Water" Live On The Honda Stage and "The Seed" music video are all essential Aurora IMO. Happy new year! 🥳🥳🥳
