Another great list: I mostly agree, as I choose Magic Square’s Soundwave and Optimus Prime instead of NA.
The NA seeker mold is definitely the best seeker mold in Legends class: I really enjoy the ones from IronFactory, but NA is by far the best.

Thanks! I think both Soundwave and Optimus could be swapped between both companies but all options from both companies are great! I also Agree about the seekers, definitely a fantastic mold no matter which colors you get!
I think the biggest flaw with Newage Soundwave is its paint; it's just to bloody dark! When I place him next to Soundblaster I'm having trouble telling who's who from a distance.
That Ultra Magnus looks great, but the legs from the hips to the ground looks like it ends in 2 places, 1 white and 1 blue. Good thing is I prefer one that isn't armored so I'm good with my MS version 2.
I agree about Newage Soundwave. He is way too dark. I got about 19 different Soundwave figures, by far he is the darkest blue out of all of them. But considering that it is his main flaw, that's not terrible.
That was a really good list. Love the Seeker mold. So much goodness from Newage. Great job!

I have both soundwave and shockwave and they are great together! I don't collect legends scale but i got soundwave to serve as my permanent deskbot for when I'm working. Soon after i just had the urge to get shockwave as well. Money well spent IMO.

Honestly any figure you get from Newage will be great, there just has to be a best and least-best lol. But I plan on making more content about Legends scale figures in the future so hopefully they can help you out too!
@@speakerheadTF Do you have Kingdom Core soundwave? Do you know it compares vs the newage in size?
I do have core Soundwave! So I just checked, it looks like core SW head ends lightly below the shoulder on Newage SW. I would say Core SW is about a head or so shorter than Newage SW. Hope that helps!

Great top 5. Everyone needs a tiny Shockwave in their lives. I also need the 'Blue' Optimus Prime that makes up Delta Magnus...either that or Prime in yellow. Come on Newage, give us Blue or Yellow Optimus.

if I owned more of them. I would be in a place to argue. but I love my megatron. and was surprised he didn't make the list
Newage Megatron is a fantastic figure! It mainly came down to his back being fairly messy. If it wasn't for that reason, he would have definitely made the list. Newage Megatron is the only Megatron in my collection at the moment and don't plan on getting any other ones for a while if that tells you anything lol

You should get the Go Better Studios upgrade for Ultra Magnus. It fills in the back and looks awesome
I've seen that! At some point, I want to spend a couple hundred dollars and buy all the add on kits for every figure. I still need the upgrade kits for Soundwave and Megatron!
my Soundwave has no elbow issues or leg issues so far my biggest complaint for newage is that with their soundwave and optimus they dont have anyway to peg in or clip the torso to the pelvis to stop the ab crunch which can get annoying when posing
I can vouch that NA's so far only Bayverse outing, DOTM Soundwave, is also spectacular. They have a DOTM Megatron on the way that I can't wait for either.
I forgot to mention those! They are excellent looking figures!
The NA Constructicons are unbelievable. They each look so great, I have to display them like that, individually.
I hope to have a display dedicated to a combiner team that has them in all 3 modes. I feel like Legends scale would definitely be the best way to go about that. I'm just deciding if I want to do that for Devastator or another combiner!
@@speakerheadTF there’s a certain magic to Devastator that no other Combiner comes close to. Each character has such a unique design with incredible lines, from a design standpoint. The color scheme is also wicked. When you pose all 6 of the NA robots together, like a gang, they look untouchable. They look better than Devastator which is also amazing.
I buy all NA stuffs. Awaiting the new MS Optimus in the mail though, and getting their Mirage.
My only gripes with NA Soundwave is the crotch panels placement and the shoulder cannon is too long, I exchanged the cannon with my kingdom core class version while in bot mode.
Firefly for New Age is just too big for the scale, he is a 9/10 model but the size and no wheels is a bit sketchy and the Magic Square one is a 9/10 anyways, which a better scale. Devastator for New Age is too skinny imo probably an 8.5/10, and the individual models are pretty meh, the Magic Square Devastator is another 9/10. The Seekers are a little small but they do look great. Im not sold on the seekers yet so I'll wait them out. Reflector, Perceptor and Ultra Magnus are all amazing. The Soundwave missing the actual big 3 is a big poopoo and his weakass arms at the elbow joint is a huge negative. The Magic Square Optimus repaint is also just better. But it's a 9/10 vs. a 10/10. Shockwave is roughly the same thing as well but both Shockwave's are very good. Pretty even on that one.

Would love to see a scale comparison for these guys, would love to get into collecting and i think legends is nice place to start still torn between magic square and newage but definitely have some i prefer from each from what i've seen

The prices they re asking for these voyager like size figures are robbery. Bigger bots for a few dollars more. Yea I d rather the leader sizes.
I do agree that some of these figures are fairly pricey for their size, but I will admit that most mainline equivalents are far cheaper quality compared to these guys. More solid plastics, die cast on some, very few if any hollow parts. As much as the bigger bots have a good presence, these legends figures have a much better feel and build quality. Not to mention most of not all are painted head to toe 👍
@@speakerheadTF Motor master priced @89.99. I saw a six shot dx9 @105.oo Guess which one I been waiting to get😁. Much as I would like the stunticons. ☹️. Maybe a better collection would come out.
@@thaspidergotcha Oh yeah it's competely understandable, Legends scale isn't for everyone. I honestly wanted to get that Motor master but sadly I've chosen to stick with legends scale and MP for budgeting reason. Hasbro still makes great figures, I've just come to enjoy different scales more 🙂
I have both the NewAge David and the Magic Square Light Of Justice (metallic version). IMO, the proportions of the NewAge David are way better. Take a look at how tiny the head is on Light Of Justice. It looks like his head shrunk...i.e., it's way too small. Once you notice it, you won't be able to un-notice it.
Now that you did mention it I can definitely see it!
I think the newage soundwave elbow you need to pull a bit till it feels "click" on the elbow, so it doesn't feel floppy
Sadly nope. Both click fully out but still flop. Like I said, I could have just got a floppy copy haha

I still gotta get that Newage Arcee but she looks great. With how many great figures Newage has released, I'll definitely have to make a 2.0 of this list 🙂👍
Have you seen Magic Square’s Optimus Prime 2.0? I’d argue it’s a better legends Prime…
It definitely is a good looking Prime, but I do have my issues with it.The main one to me is that the head of MS Prime 2.0 is too small for his body. I personally prefer the proportions and paint of the Newage Optimus over Magic Square's 2.0 Optimus. Regardless which one you choose, both are fantastic Optimus Prime figures!

Sadly Newage Shockwave is much too small for mainline. Legends scale figures are slightly bigger or around the same size as core class. Hope this helps!

There are a few different places you can buy legend scale transformers. I personally buy a majority of mine from Agabyss since they are local to me and the owners are fantastic, but you can also buy them from ShowZStore, BigBadToyStore, or TF source. Hope this helps 🙂👍

You were doing well till you mentioned Prime. He just doesn't look right. Proportions are off because of his odd transformations.
I personally beg to differ. I don't see how his transformation makes his proportions off, he looks fine to me. If I didn't think he was as good as he is, I wouldn't have put him where he is on the list. But hey we got our own opinions 🤷♂️

No Megatron?
The reason I didn't put him on the list is because of his messy back. If his back was a bit more cleaned up, he definitely would have made the list 👍
Just too close to what is available at walmart. Masterpiece scale or bust. I shouldn't be able to confuse a child's to and a collectors piece at a glance.
They do look similar, but I wouldn't say they look the same as what mainline and masterpiece have to offer. Most transformers that are going for a g1 esthetic are going to look similar at glance or in a picture because they are all trying to accomplish the same look. A good example is with Optimus Prime. Newage H27 David, MP-44 Optimus, and Earthrise Optimus look the the same since they are all representations of g1 Optimus, But there are major differences when it comes to material, engineering, paint, and the overal quality each of the figures. But at the end of the day, if Masterpeice and legend scale don't seem worth it to you, then mainline is always a good, affordable way to enjoy Transformers. As long as you are happy with what you collect 🙂👍

There's a kit you can buy on eBay that fixes it, if you're unaware. It's obviously not the best but it works and makes a big difference!
@@RIS3N1 It definitely does make a difference. Sadly I was rating each figure without any upgrades. That upgrade kit does fix the only major flaw with Megatron
