I will be getting J1 Research Scholar Visa that will be valid for 1 year. Is it possible to convert it into an F1 after 1 year and will I be able to bypass the 2 years home rule?. What if my spouse is able to get an F1 status in the US, will I be able to convert my status into an F2 then ?

Now the problem is the sponsor that the agency contacted has stop accepting us. And worst, the agency told us that the job offer is cancel. Now I'm confused is their no other sponsor that we can contact? And why would the job offer be cancel from the district? All we need to do is look for sponsor. Please need advise here..

You cannot convert a visa. You would need to depart the U.S. and then apply for a F-1 visa or file a change of status with USCIS. Good luck!
