I use the XREAL Air 2 with my Samsung S24 in DeX mode. It's a great combination. Samsung S phones have a built-in mouse when using DeX. All you need is a USB-C cable.
I have serious privacy concerns with Xreal products. I have air and the beam and have not installed nebula app. It asks for so many permissions. Beam too needs Internet access for casting. Unnecessary.

Good review. I think the Pro has a better screen technology vs its predecessors form what I read and watched. The dimming function sold me on the pro. Very impressive what they have achieved. I have the Pro with Beam on order. I hope they can make it easy for 2 persons to watch a movie together for instance (I use Stremio, Prime etc).

Next Gen will probably borrow from the Meta Glasses and come with an Ai assistant, take photo and video - and hopefully reduce weight a bit. I really like the yearly iterations XREAL makes - and while I'm interested in the device, I feel like I'll wait a couple more years before finally deciding to purchase. I want to see what Meta reveals for their AR glasses first.
What I want from these glasses is a virtual hands free tablet display located at 45 degrees that you can look down to and walk around with. I'm certain that would be a huge selling point.
On your chart, the Air got upgraded to now have 120Hz support. The Ultra is nice but I don't think I'm going to upgrade from my Air just yet. I'm waiting for a resolution bump to at least 1440p while keeping 120Hz for gaming.
I want glasses to replace my phone so I'd go for Ultra once price comes down. I don't care about the cable because later on you could upgrade the phone specs.
I have a doubt. Say I need to watch a Netflix video on my Samsung Fold 4 on Xreal Air 2 Pro, would I be able to pin the screen at one place in space? So that it doesn't move around with movements of my head .. ?
Last week I bought the XReal Air 2 Pro. I don’t know what my "interpupillary distance" is but it’s clearly an issue. I’ve tried every nose piece. I’ve tried all three viewing angles. Not matter what, each eye is clearest nearest the nose and gets progressively blurrier towards the temple. This means that neither eye is correctly focused at any given time. I have a constant tickling or straining feeling in both eyes as if I were trying on someone’s glasses. I have perfect vision. Needless to say, this is incredibly disappointing. There's no mention of this when purchasing. How difficult can it be to either design the lenses to be laterally adjustable, or to at least provide measurements at purchase. I’ve asked for a refund. Hopefully they improve this in the Ultra.
That list of compatibility is confusing. I have a Sam S23ultra and nebula works fine with air space and casting. I have the first generation called nreal air not xreal. Is that why?
I'm a developer and I'm interested In ultra id like to see what the compute unit can do as I bought into magic leap one and got stung id like to support ultra

Hey man would you happen to know if they intend to make 2k or 4k resolution glasses in the future ? Also I'm wondering how the 1080p screen looks like on those glasses if compared to say a regular 2k or 4k monitor. I can't really test them out where I am so I need the opinion of someone who has. I'm asking because I have the Oculus Rift S which is 2k but the image quality of it compared to my 2k IPS monitor just doesn't keep up, it feels washed out (rift s) compared to the monitor and I'm wondering if this is a thing with all VR / AR headsets
