thansk for this very detailed and professionale review. my only needs for this glasses is to use them as monitor for my dslr cameras through hdmi while i shoot videos around. havent saw anyone talkimg about this needs so i dont know if this may work..
Thank you very much for your very informative comparison ! I really enjoyed it ! In the meantime Xreal released the brandnew "Beam Pro" hardware which allows any Xreal glasses to be powered by it ( and not only a few from the smartphone compatibility list ) for the full feature use. May be you can do an update video about those features too ? That would be great !
I meannn, I'm also a "simple techie" myself. I teach and I've taught myself sooo much in the past 2-3 years. I mean, I don't know absolutely everything, but i do know A LOT. I'm about a year of being on and off teaching myself how to diagnose and repair circuit boards and how to fix laptops and other pc boards that have shorted out somewhere or died due to liquid damage. I'm roughly a year into teaching myself that stuff now. However, since that was totally off topic I do want to apologize, lol. I didn't mean to veer that far off topic, lol. Back to the topic.. I don't think any AR glasses have a 4k resolution option. I could be wrong but all the ones I've been looking at have only maxed out at 1080p FHD resolutions. Soo, if you're interested in the glasses but also want 1440p resolutions, you might have a harder time finding them if they are made. And if they are, they will probably be 2-3 times more expensive than the 1080p FHD AR glasses. But, I'm curious to know if you can find any 1440p and how much they are going for. If you don't mind getting back to me and letting me know, I'd really appreciate it bud. And again, I apologize about the long comment and veering super far off topic, lol.
You and me both. I don't have a computer desk setup, I play from my couch. I'm interested in a larger screen for my gaming laptop. I just want a screen I can wear for that and for doing writing and coding for game development.
@Masterofnone180 I uhhh, I'm actually a little bit embarrassed, lol. I did in fact know that 4k is 2160p, lol. Idk whyyyy I didn't catch that when writing my original comment, lol. Thanks for informing me of that mistake. Idk how I didn't notice it, lol.
Ah, this was the video I was looking for, a side by side comparison of the major AR glasses. Plus your comment at the end about limited productivity was VERY useful in that I was hoping to use the glasses that way. Thank you.
if u want productivity get ai glasses not ar. these are for entertainment. the vitures are literally made for gaming and this dude didnt mention anything of the sort once. take these reviews w a grain of salt cause he has a very narrow lense he's "reviewing" these from, pun intended. hes not the right guy for the job.
@@alejandrohernandez-bb7ct My use of the Viture glasses is entertainment specifically stereo or 3D movies. I do not game or care to do AR so I am good. Thanks.
Thank you for very detailed comparison! There are so many sponsored videos about these glasses with no useful information. But this was very informative and practical. Can you do a video with TCL Rayneo Air 2 glasses and also Lenovo legion glasses?
I’ve been getting more interested in these in recent years as tech continues to progress, quality increases and cost starts making sense. This has always been a tech category I looked forward to flourishing!
Probably one of the product comparisons I've seen in a long time, and the fact its the exact 3 models I've been looking at is a cherry on the cake.. I was dithering on the Air 2... but it seems a no-brainer to get the Air 2 Pro... Order placed, will be here Saturday 🕺
Agreeing with you, we're not quite _There_ yet, with this technology. The promise it holds is fantastic, though. I wanted so much to want to keep the xreals that I bought for Black Friday, but it just was not to beeee. I have a question for you: Around 19:45 you show the underbelly of the xreals, and from that we can clearly see the circular rings that surround the OLED display. In my experience, I just kept noticing those rings in my periphery, over and over again. How did Rokkid and Viture fare, with regards to distracting architecture in the periphery?
As an hvac tech this can help me when troubleshooting or looking up wiring schematics while working and doing what I am doing having the projected screen of diagrams can be very helpful
Dude , I was wondering if I could watch TH-cam videos whist repairing vehicles and hopefully, if I dim the video I can use the video as an overlay to make sure I'm doing what needs to be done . I would also like it to record while disassembling so I know how it goes back and if I can't find a piece I can go back and watch video and see where I put it ; usually in the junk food cabinet or refrigerator but not always , lol !
Dude , I was wondering if I could watch videos on TH-cam while repairing my vehicle and hopefully , they'll function as an overlay so I can see if I'm doing things right . Also, I would like it to record so if I have to watch my recordings to see which bolts go where or to find parts I've misplaced ; usually those parts are in the junk food cabinet or refrigerator , lol but nit always !
Thanks for the detailing video. I love my Xreal air2 pro. It is flawless wn connected in Dex mode. I'm now able to do so much with the Beam too... got all my 3rd party apps easily installed. Did not require any jail-breaking I'm now waiting for the Xreal glasses to go wireless
@pinocchio7490 agreed on Netflix quality. But you don’t particularly lose 3dof with apps, just go to settings, application management, and change display mode to spatial display.
X real air 2. With iPhone. 15. Why can I not watch downloaded content on apps such as Netflix. Prime. Apple TV when on line no problem soon as I turn WiFi and phone networking off Such as when I am flying any solution to this would be mucho appreciated
I agree. I have tried all 3. Viture - liked the color reproduction and the electrochromatic dimming and the accessories (dock and neckband), didn't like the weak speakers and smaller display and no light blockers. Rokid - liked the bigger display and the speakers, didn't like the very dark contrast of the display. Xreal - liked the color reproduction, screen size, electrochromatic dimming, and speakers, didn't like the accessories or no built in diopters. The Xreal had the most pros and least cons for me. I might just pick up the Rokid Station 2 since the Xbeam is so half baked.
station 2 is also half baked because of no details about security measurement and general transparency issues.. maybe station 3 will solve this because the complaining will only emerge once paid reviews stop
I am looking for glasses that I can use primarily while exercising at the gym (to watch TH-cam or other programs directly from my phone). Because I don't think any of them can be used safely while walking or running. Which would you favor in such a case?
I would still go for the Xreals, potentially with the Beam to enable smooth follow mode. Otherwise running might cause jitters that might be annoying. Do be careful with sweat though; these aren't sweat proof, and there are some reports of people who ruined their glasses by exposing them to sweat.
Also is the bulkiness of the viture one bit much for a site guard job.. don't see but maybe 3 ppl all day but will they know .. is it real obvious compared to the xreal air2 pro? Ty
Awesome review Rawan, just 1 question, have you tried SBS 3D content on xreal and rokids? I'd like to buy one but in my country there's no return policy since it'll be shipped overseas to me, appreciate your input.
for me there is just one question left: Would you rather use one of these AR Glasses on the go to work, or rather just use your macbook monitor? Thanks in advance!
That's a good question... I would say definitely the MacBook monitor, unless I need multiple displays. But if I can get away with a single display for whatever task I'm doing, I'd go wit the MacBook monitor.
I got some xreal air 2 pro ecently, but I'm having an issue where the view feels obstructed unless I take off the nosepiece. any ideas? I have to move around on my face to see the entire screen, with having to push hard against my face to see everything. Its always blurry in one of the corners when i move it around on my face.
I'm interested in AR glasses for use in viewing an active spectrogram while conversing with another person. The spectrogram is a continuous real time video of audio information, specifically frequency versus time. Spoken words are picked up and processed into the video by a separate device and the video would be streamed from the device to the glasses. In the video many words and phrases appear as recognizable shapes - so viewing the video can be of immense benefit to the hearing impaired. The advantages of the spectrogram video over speech-to-text is 1) low latency (
I hope you get this answered. This is very intriguing to me. I grew up around deaf folks and they taught me and my siblings ASL. It really was awesome to get to see into their lives and struggles into things we don't even think about. I still use it and taught my kids just in case they need it. So many people never bother to learn it while we have people out here needing it.
Thanks for the video, just wondering what's your interpupillary distance (IPD)? I've heard of the Xreals having a smaller designed IPD range, which is making some people see blurry edges.
@@RawansReviews Thanks, I have the same IPD as well. Myopia at -3, I'm currently using the old Rokid Air and looking to upgrade, but not sure if I should go for the Rokid Max or the Xreal Air 2 Pro. I really liked the diopter in the Rokid, and a bit concerned that the Xreal Air 2's smaller 0.55 inch Micro-OLED panel will require the eyes to be closer to the screen, and the Xreal's prescription lens inserts will get in the way. The Rokid Max is also $120 cheaper where I am.....The Xreal feels like a better overall product, but I'm leaning towards the Rokid Max.
I would tend to agree with all that you said. I do believe the Xreal is a better overall product, but probably for your use case, and happy with the Rokid Air, and with your myopia, the Rokid Max might make more sense.
I bought in to the nreal pro back before they changed their name to xreal. While they work great for gaming, especially on my steam deck, i have had some major issues with them that i haven't been able to find if they were fixed on the pro 2. For example, Burn in is a major issue if you use it on your PC as a monitor substitute, all my icons in my windows bar have been burned into my display. Also because the light is partially reflected to allow it to be see through, the image is noticable darker making dark games near impossible to play if they dont have some form of gamma correction.
Thanks for this, im convince to get the xreal air 2 pro now. But i do have futher questions like do i want to get the beam as well as the lens adaptors. Im also wearing glasses around 550 to 650 degrees. And actually planning to use it for my commute to work on train or buses. Would you say its possible that i can say watch a movie while walking on the streets and still be sort of aware of the place im walking ,at least not to bump into people or a pole. Not sure if the beam is needed. Since im probably gonna use it with my phone which is a compatible phone with the app and my windows laptop , hoping to use with 2 screen projection. Would like to see what is your say. Oh as well as battery, since i notice only rokid have an adaptor that can charge and plug in the cable at the same time. Not sure if xreal have a similar thing or i could just but rokid adaptor to use it on xreal.
If you want situational awareness while watching, I'd recommend getting the beam. One of the modes is side view, which lets you shrink the screen size and put it in 1 of 4 corners. Smooth follow might also come in handy if you're moving, and you can then manually shrink the size of the screen as well. If you're using the beam with your phone, you can't charge as you use. But others have had success with the Viture adapter that allows you to charge while watching--so could be helpful to look into that.
@@RawansReviews Im looking into Virture Pro/Xreal Air 2. Can you explain the change of decision? In this video you said the Xreals were the clear choice but it changes with this reply? Just want to see why the change in choice?
Not a change! The video above was about the Viture One. The reply was about the Viture Pro (which was not yet released when I made this video). I later reviewed the Viture Pro too so feel free to find that video on my channel if you’re interested
If I sit in the front seat of a car all day w windows not covered, (siteguard work - my job is just to be present sitting in a car on an empty lot all day) , you're saying that only the xreals will be usable cuz the light coming in from window will make the other ones no good basically? I need to be able to see out the window and all so not wanting to use the tint feature. Not worth getting?
Not at all! The first time you try them, you'll get a big (good kind of) shock. But I didn't find that my brain needed any time to adjust, it simply registered this almost right away as: big. screen.
I am a xreal air2 user. Many people think of this product as a replacement for a monitor. Although it can be used to watch videos and play games, I believe it cannot be used as a monitor replacement in everyday life. It has good readability, but it is very tiring on the PC when it is not a fixed monitor. I have PC Steam Deck Z Fold 4 iPhone 15, the Nebula app is garbage and it seems to be best used in Samsung Dex mode.
Hot abt the blurred edge issue? Do u think it’s acceptable? I wanna get some AR glasses to replace my monitor and in-flight working but a lot of ppl said it’s really annoying thata screen edge is blurred
The question I have is whether I can use the glasses or the Beam bundle to support my work from home. I have a work laptop that is designated specifically for work, is a Dell, and I use Microsoft applications within it. I have three displays I use at home because I am constantly processing a lot of data and need more than just one or two open at a time. What I would like to know is whether or not the X Real Pro 2 is capable of immersing myself in this same type of workspace through my computer with three virtual displays that I can bounce between... or if the Beam Pro is required to do so. Thank you for anyone's input on this!!! If there are other glasses you recommend that would work better for my scenario please I welcome any recommendations!!
Thanks for the video. I'm looking for ar glasses for daily usage with hand free usage, translating what I see and optionally taking photos and videos. I need multifocal prescription glasses that I change every 2 years. Did you make a video for this kind of device?
You can but I personally found it to not be very useful. DRM protection means a lot of things you stream might not stream properly (audio but no video for example).
@@undernature2799 I bought it, and I'm satisfied with it. My buddies also tried gaming with it and the results are good! It won't work on the switch or ps5, but it should work on the steam deck and a new laptop
be warned my Rokid Max showed heavy burn-in after less than a year and regular usage. Also their service played around with me and is very bad. They repeatedly wanted me, four times, to try filming the displays of the glasses, the wiring, and the display of my computer in various ways with different background images, only to then inform me that the warranty had expired ten days ago. They offered to send the glasses to China at my own expense, which would be higher than the purchase price.
Honestly the Viture's cons aren't too bad from what I've experienced. 8 months in & still great. I really want to test it when on an airplane since I just use it at home mainly.
With any of these, does it feel like there's a giant screen slapped in front of your face (the same way you can put your phone display close to your eyes) or does it feel natural? Asking to get an idea how focusing works with them, does it strain the eyes or does it feel like focusing your eyes in real life
It feels surprisingly more natural than not. Definitely not a sensation of slapping a giant screen in front of your face like putting your phone close to your eyes. While not quite exactly like sitting in a movie theater, but pretty close, especially if you're in a dark room! Definitely would have a 'wow' effect the first time you try them on.
@@RawansReviews What is the maximum distance you can project the screen out to? Is it possible to project it to infinite viewing distance, so the eyes would look at it like a far away object? While simultainiously having a large screen? Great review btw
I am thinking about getting the XReal Air 2 or a Quest 3... but I am concerned about the Resolution while watching something on it. Would you say Quests 25 ppd vs XReals 49 PPD is a massiv drawback?
Great review thanks!!! I don't game, the ONLY reason I'm considering AR glasses is for reading sheet music (3 sheets side by side in portrait mode) during gigs instead of setting up an AIO 21" device on my music stand. I have a Windows based, pdf sheet music app that i use on my Windows Surface and hoping i can use AR. As I understand. Xreal Pro seems to be the best of the bunch for this purpose. Would that be a safe assumption? Any comments are welcome, thanks.
What are your cases for one? This is like wondering if one gets a skateboard or a Rolls-Royce 😅 in theory both can get you from point A to point B. But well…that’s about all where they intersect. Jokes aside-if you can afford the Vision Pro and don’t mind the bulk and weight of it, go for it. The experience you get with that would be light years ahead vs the Xreals.
Thanks for a nice comparison. I wonder if one could use such glasses for video calls with Zoom or Meet? Clearly I would not appear on the call, but having a chance to see the whole team, shared screen etc while walking in the park sounds like a very good use case for such glasses. What do you think?
Hey. Thanks for the comparison video. Such videos are rare. I heard you saying about wearing contact lenses while using these glasses. With respect to Xreal Air 2 Pro glasses, how is your experience with contact lenses vs. prescription inserts ? I do feel a bit blurry edges when i use with prescription inserts, and i try to push the glasses closer to my eyes and nose for clearer view but then prescription glasses brush against my eye lids and dig my nose. Not a very pleasant experience. I am considering using these glasses with contact lenses, but I’m worried about any harm it may do to the eyes. Does it get very dry after using for like 2-3 hours of media consumption (with contact lenses) ? Is it convenient using with contact lenses ?
My experience with contact lenses has been fine. I generally start feeling dry eyes after a few hours of wearing contacts anyway. But I didn't feel anything different while using the glasses. Unfortunately I never got prescription glasses fitted on the inserts so can't comment on that experience.
Just be aware that you can't sleep with contact lenses on, and there's a good chance you might start to doze off on a flight. You might want to consider the Rokid with the diopter if your myopia is below -6.
@@Avantime thats the problem. My myopia is -1 but i also have astigmatism. And therefore those diopters wont add any benefit for me. I will need glasses / contacts for astigmatism even if I use to diopter settings for myopia.
Excellent detailed comparison! My use will be using with the steam deck in bed for a few hours each night before I go to sleep. I think the XREAL will probably be the best choice for me with their comfort and screen quality.
I have the XREAL Air 2 Pro glasses. The beam is not usable because it is so laggy. Also, the mirror function keeps disconnecting and the apps in beam is download forever
@1:28 - An in-depth review of all 3 glasses respectively, with examples from gaming and/or AR apps (if possible), would be nice. Please? 🙂 @20:44 - Thank-you for the feedback, Rawan!
I got the Xreal Air 2 Pro's on a pre order and was kind of on the fence about them but after watching your video and hearing the comparisons first hand i'm glad i got the Air 2 pro's. My only issue so far is I'm currently testing ways to get the Xbox app to run on it for remote play on the beam without the need to be connected to a smartphone.
Nice comparison video. I got the Viture glasses with neckband for Christmas, but I am finding, like you, that they aren't very comfortable. They squeeze the sides of my head. I debated back and forth between the Viture and the Xreal glasses, but ultimately went with Viture because of the media station in the Viture Neckband. Does the Rokid Station work with the Xreal glasses? I have heard that it works with the Viture glasses. All I want is for it to be able to play the content on the glasses. I don't care about the 3 DoF or any of that.
Yes the Rokid station should work with the Xreals, if all you are looking for is to be able to play content. Also worth looking for a 2nd hand Android (Galaxy S10e for example), and use Dex mode. You'll get much more from that than the Rokid station, probably for roughly the same cost.
With a phone with Dex mode, u really don't need any accessory, not even a Beam or a bluetooth keyboard remote. I have a Beam and have I've installed Apktime and Aurora and now have several working 3rd party apps.
@@RawansReviews Thanks again for this review. I have now replaced my Viture Glasses with XReal Air 2 Pro thanks to this video and I love them. Everything you said about them is true. They're more comfortable, the color is more vibrant, the screen darkening is better, and the image is bigger. I also find them easier to see through when screen dimming is turned off. Now that Viture has announced an adapter that goes from their magnetic connector to USB-C and confirmed that you can use it with the XReal glasses, I'm sticking with the neckband because I like it so much.
I would really appreciate if you could do a vid on waiting for the Xreal air Ultra and the Xreal air 2 pro. I've done some reading but can't find any downsides on it being meant for developers, since you can get the same functionality of the air 2 pro with potential updates making the ultra better in the future
My understanding is the screens on the 2, the 2 pro and the 2 ultra are all the same identical Sony oleds so image quality on all of them are the same.
What is the reason if you have -4 myopic you need to blast the rokid to -6? Don't we just need to adjust it based on our myopic? If I have -5 in each eye would the rokid be fine?
Yes you’re right. But I have -6.5 hence blasting all the way! Rokid would definitely be fine with your -5, but you might see that black bar I talked about at the top a bit
AR glasses are definitely not as immersive as VR goggles. You still see a lot of the real world with AR glasses, whereas VR goggles completely immerse you in a "new" virtual world.
@@RawansReviews Thank you. Lets take an example of pyramid 180 degree view video. Does Ar glass gonna cover the whole screen like vr but will be more static ? but what about people and objects will they move or be static?
Thank you so much for talking about the diopters. My eyes have different prescriptions so ability to add prescription lenses might be a necessity for me
This is the best comparison review for the AR glasses I have seen so far. I decided to go with viture one. Even it is not the most optimistic one( I think based on your review xReal air 2 pro is the best) however I don’t want to get another set of prescription glasses to make the glasses heavier.
for the xreal 2 pro, will I be able to use it for cycling outdoors? Will be great if I can see navigation apps like google map..etc... in my visual rather than having to look at my phone on the phone holder at the bicycle front bar.
the xreal things seem to not be available from Amazon Canada. and the other two are over $800 here!!! I think that I should wait for the prices to go down.
Don't you have blurry edges and also bubble effects over here and there with the xreal? The bubble effect can be seen while reading a text on mine. Therefore I will return mine back.
Thanks for the comparison review. I decided to pick up the XReal Air 2 Pro and Beam bundle from Amazon. I have a Galaxy S23 Ultra so the Nebula app will work for me. I do hope they get the Nebula app for Windows. Regards
Should definitely be a better experience with the S23 Ultra! I think Nebula for Windows should be out with a stable release sometime in the (near?) future, but that’s just a guess.
I'm looking for an VR Monitor System for actual real-world work, not playing around on phones or apples... Am I right in my assumption that these can't be used with Windows PCs and computing heavy software? They seem very inexpensive compared to good monitors as well, how do they compare for sharpness, contrast, color space and latency to something industry grade?
Wonderful and compressive review, I think I might go for the XReal Air 1 instead of 2 Pro. Like you said, the tech is still not there, so in 3-5 years there might be something much better and with higher resolution and immersion, and if you dont own anything right now, and dont have tons of money, getting the Air 1 seems like a decent compromise to everything. If was to compare this with the Meta Quest 3, would those be better for watching stuff on the go? I feel VR googles are too big for that, and these glasses being more discrete would suffice for media consumption.
The Meta Quest 3 would be far bulkier for "on the go" media consumption. While it's certainly a more immersive experience, these indeed would be more discrete and far more portable.
Interesting. I’ve seen a lot of reports that xreal has messed up the polarization on the air 2 and it also has very blurry edges compared to the viture and air 1
Seems like Xreal Air 2 has a smaller eyebox (sweet spot), so if your IPD or face shape isn't right, it's less forgiving. In my case, both Xreal Air 2 & Rokid Max have blurry edges, presumably mostly due to my IPD being ~70mm, but maybe also due to my face shape (prominent nose bridge). I was able to reproduce funny polarization on both glasses as well, but I don't see it being an issue in day-to-day use, but I could see it being annoying for others.
@@mikeyr5275 thanks for the reply. I went ahead and ordered the air 2 pro and viture one. Either I’ll send back one or both depending on my experience. I do have a small IPD of 61 so not sure if that will be better or not. I hope that one of the two will work good for me. We shall see.
@@PhotoJohn80 Your IPD is probably closer to what these glasses are designed for than mine, hopefully you'll love one of them! I finally decided to try the Viture One, hopefully will have it by tomorrow. Also trying to pick up a used XREAL Air 1, as I'm curious to compare the two for myself, it seems like there are more people (than not) claiming the smaller optics are a visual downgrade (presumably due to the smaller / less forgiving eyebox), but it's always hard to know whether that's because those people are more likely to post frequently about it... There are clearly some things that are better about the XREAL Air 2, e.g. slightly newer Sony display (better color fidelity, brightness, smaller display allows some size reduction), better temple tips (more flex, less likely to squeeze head uncomfortably). Update us here if you remember to! Lots of activity on Reddit as well, that's a good place to connect.
IPD shouldn't be the case, at least for me. Because all of the sides are blurry. If i had no eyelash and don't use nose support at all and put the glass closest to my eye I could see entire screen clearly. I wanted other people with shorter eyelashes to try it, but same result. The reflector lens thingy should be bigger.
From strictly a gaming standpoint (steamdeck) and watching movies on a flight/train, would you say the Xreal or Viture would be worth it? Not for everyday stuff. But I use my steamdeck about 20 hours a week or more and my commute is about 30-45 minutes. I don't mind paying money if it saves my neck from looking down. Should add I also have a -4.0 prescription in both eyes.
Definitely Viture, they are much better, don't believe this guy, looks like paid to me. Viture now also have a fully developed 3Dof plugin for steam deck and it works great!
@sergekonevksy So you still want to insist this is paid, despite confirming to you it wasn’t? It’s starting to look to me that you are getting paid by Viture ;) @riftabot I haven’t tried gaming on either. But for movies; Xreal is more comfortable than Viture. Also has a noticeably larger screen. Though you’re going to need prescription inserts for your -4. With Viture, you won’t. So your call what is more important for you. While the tech isn’t there yet, if you don’t mind paying, I’m sure it’s a better experience than using your phone..so I’d give that a try!
@@RawansReviews I am a Kickstarter backer and big fan of Viture, Viture just won me over by the products, both hardware and software. The fact you mentioned nothing about the blurry edges on xreal that everyone knows and that you said spacewalker is not good convinced me that either you haven't fully used Viture or you are paid.
@@sergekonevskyKickstarter creates the worst superfans in total with their campaign design focused on creating emotional connection with backers. most don't even realize it. You are a good example . The foremost reason for companies to use Kickstarter despite the cost is creating an army of zombies that identify with the product and go on a warpath in forums . Don't be a shill.
I've had the Xreal Airs for ages but only figured out DEX mode and wow, it actually got me using my glasses again for something other than watching Netflix (which I barely do, as it gives me a headache). For anyone who's looking to up their productivity or entertainment, I think these glasses are great. Just don't expect anything by way of AR or decent software -- these companies are only out to push hardware with minimal investment. Thank you for the video, it's good content. Was actually thinking whether the XREAL Ultra is worth it but I think I'm still happy with my Airs (and the haven't seen much use to begin with).
I ordered both the xreal 2 pro and Viture to compare. I really wanted to like the Viture but I found what was said in the video is very accurate from my use. The xreal was significantly better when gaming it’s not even close and the screen size makes a huge difference. For reference i lined both up with my 75 in TV . The Viture seemed about 10 inches bigger but for xreal it appeared about 30 or 40 in bigger which makes watching and reading anything much more comfortable. The difference I noticed from the video was Viture’s colors were more accurate at least when comparing to my Lenovo legion go screen. With the better colors on Viture watching something like Dune looked better.
Same, the xreal was better for me when I was gaming. When I used the virture my goodness I couldn't use it for five minutes. That 120hz really does help a lot. So I returned the viture and kept the xreal.
@@LLawlietKris8 for me the image isn't blurry like people said. It looks really sharp. The reason I returned my viture was because the nose pads were either too small or too tall so I couldn't even find a comfortable spot to see the screen and also because it doesn't have 120hz which I really need for gaming. Xreal was perfect for me.
I just bought the Viture One Xr on eBay... Comes with two adapters for the iPhone 14/ and USB C adapter for the iPhone 15. Which I thought was fantastic. My use case is to watch content or movies at home. Not really a gamer to say the least. The price was a mere 360 dollars which is definitely within my budget.
Outstanding comparison, my friend. Well organised, cogent, pragmatic, and superbly delivered assessment. In addition, you paid for these glasses, so there is a lack of bias. Thank you. Subscribed! Personally, it's the Xreal. I have only a minor issue with distance sight. At 57, the issue is reading text etc. I also have a larger head. The dilemas are two fold: Firstly, with the pace of development, the next 'version' could make big improvements, but there again, one has to pull the trigger at some point. It's the same with all technology. My intention would be to use the glasses with an OLED Steam Deck. Secondly, my actual need for them. A great little gadget, but for casual gaming the Deck on it's own plus the ability to connect to a big television with ease makes the glasses more of a want than a need. I guess it is down to how you intend to use them and the context you will use them in. Regardless, I can only have this clarity as a result of your rarional and practical review, which is devoid of hype and constant references to everything being "cool" or "awesome". There is a post on Reddit which refers to the tendancy for some reviewers to massage the caperbilities of such products. On balance I will save the considerable outlay for the Air Pro 2's (about £500 quid without the beam) for something more productive' at this time. Its a heck of a lot to spend on a gadget and I can live without the FOMO. Best wishes, Paul.
WHAT A DETAILED AND LOVELY COMPARISON. I have none neither I am planning to buy one, dude it's an expensive gadget 😅 I watched this video completely though simply because your video is entertaining to me and you know exactly how to make your audience understand in a very simple way. Love from Nepal 🇳🇵
Surely because of relativity, if the screen always moves when I move my head, then in a relative sense it is always montionless? So why would a bumpy ride move the screen independent to my head moving from the bumps?
I see the logic, but the practice is different. I'm no physicist so can't comment on the physics behind that, but could be that there's a slight lag between your head motion and the screen motion, causing that disturbance. Could also be that the glasses themselves shift and move slightly with such abrupt movements as well. Either way, without knowing the scientific reasons behind it, I can confirm that there is difference in sensation when experiencing AR glasses on a plane or in a moving car, with some form of motion stabilization or smoothing (like what the Beam gives), vs natively without any of that.
You can but they're unlikely to be comfortable. Would rather recommend either wearing contact lenses, or buying the lens inserts. Or get ones with diapoters that you can adjust to your vision.
I really enjoy mine. I tried my friend's XReals and liked my Vitures over those. The audio is much better on the Vitures. I do have the neckband and use it quite often. My friend's XReal Air box continued to crash on iOS. I like my magnetic connectors. The NITS is much higher on the Vitures over the XReals. We're still in early stages for all of these glasses, so as an early adopter, I don't set my expectations too high.

Which one has best audio? I need this but work at a loud office and outside and need privacy and still be able to hear what I'm seeing.

Im a simple techie, all I want is 1440p @400$. No frills, no speakers, no bloat application, just straight video.

Thank you.
Happy this was of help!

How are the air 2 pro's ?
@@solo-j4v Want to know your experience as well.
Can you tell us how is your experience with the air 2 pro??
How are you liking them?
Agreeing with you, we're not quite _There_ yet, with this technology. The promise it holds is fantastic, though. I wanted so much to want to keep the xreals that I bought for Black Friday, but it just was not to beeee.
I have a question for you: Around 19:45 you show the underbelly of the xreals, and from that we can clearly see the circular rings that surround the OLED display. In my experience, I just kept noticing those rings in my periphery, over and over again. How did Rokkid and Viture fare, with regards to distracting architecture in the periphery?
I found all of them had “distracting elements in the periphery”, as you put it. Not quite the immersive experience as VR goggles sadly!
I love my Xreal air2 pro. It is flawless wn connected in Dex mode. I'm now able to do so much with the Beam too... got all my 3rd party apps easily installed. Did not require any jail-breaking
I'm now waiting for the Xreal glasses to go wireless
Ces2024 😊
Beam is trash. You lose all the functionality like 3dof from the beam with sideload 3rd party apps. Netflix only 480P.
@pinocchio7490 agreed on Netflix quality. But you don’t particularly lose 3dof with apps, just go to settings, application management, and change display mode to spatial display.
ok, i just changed those in settings, much more useful now. Thanks@@RawansReviews
X real air 2. With iPhone. 15. Why can I not watch downloaded content on apps such as Netflix. Prime. Apple TV when on line no problem soon as I turn WiFi and phone networking off Such as when I am flying any solution to this would be mucho appreciated
Thank you for taking the time to put this together.
What about the TCL RayNeo XR NXTWEAR S? Ive found them in $300
Is there a way to get a virtual monitor from a Windows PC working wirelessly? Like for exercising in the treadmill
Yes. With the Xreals you have to buy the "beam" accessory
I'd like to buy one but in my country there's no return policy since it'll be shipped overseas to me, appreciate your input.
for me there is just one question left:
Would you rather use one of these AR Glasses on the go to work, or rather just use your macbook monitor?
Thanks in advance!
That's a good question... I would say definitely the MacBook monitor, unless I need multiple displays. But if I can get away with a single display for whatever task I'm doing, I'd go wit the MacBook monitor.
I’ve been heavily debating and researching but I think this video convinced me to try the Air 2 pros. The ultra is coming out but it’s too pricey lol
I got some xreal air 2 pro ecently, but I'm having an issue where the view feels obstructed unless I take off the nosepiece. any ideas? I have to move around on my face to see the entire screen, with having to push hard against my face to see everything. Its always blurry in one of the corners when i move it around on my face.
same issue, it's the distance between eyes
Excellent video comparing these devices. Thank you Rawan!
Glad you found this helpful!
The advantages of the spectrogram video over speech-to-text is
1) low latency (
I hope you get this answered.
My IPD is 67 mm, if that helps!
Great review and comparison, thanks! How comfortable do you think to work with text (coding, writing, reading, et ) in the xreal glasses?

Wish I saw this sooner. Just bought the Virture Pro XR last night. But this could have given me a more informed decision.
Incidentally I just released my review of the Viture Pro. If it's any consolation, I would say you probably made the right choice ;)
@RawansReviews ahhh I see! I'll take a look at the pro video

I'm looking at xreal 2 pro. Have you done a breakdown on them?
suggestion please, get xreal air 2 pro now, or wait for sometime for possibility of 4k version?
The technology is still rough. If you have no urgent need for it today and can wait, I say wait a bit!
Excellent review,
Question:
How enjoyable is the screen size in XREAL?
Does it take time for the brain to adjust, to think of it as a big screen?

Thank you for anyone's input on this!!!

do you know if the xreal air i can use it wireless? Bluetooth or something? or you always have to connect it to your phone?
You can but I personally found it to not be very useful. DRM protection means a lot of things you stream might not stream properly (audio but no video for example).
In general, how do these work for a person who needs readers when reading something up close. Will the screen be blurry?
do any of these alert you to messages, emails etc from your phone and read them? And can any of these be used for navigation when walking?
They won't read or alert by themselves. The glasses simply mirror your phone's screen.

So basically, does the Xreal enable pinning of the screen (say watching Netflix on Samsung Fold 4) without any accessory like Beam, etc.?
be warned my Rokid Max showed heavy burn-in after less than a year and regular usage.
What assholes… I hope xreal has better customer support and respect

As I understand. Xreal Pro seems to be the best of the bunch for this purpose.
Would that be a safe assumption?
Any comments are welcome, thanks.
I debating on getting air 2 or the Vision Pro from Apple

Yes, Xreals with beam

The XReal Ultra that are coming out might be for you then
I got the Xreal Air 2 Pro's on a pre order and was kind of on the fence about them but after watching your video and hearing the comparisons first hand i'm glad i got the Air 2 pro's.
Now that Viture has announced an adapter that goes from their magnetic connector to USB-C and confirmed that you can use it with the XReal glasses, I'm sticking with the neckband because I like it so much.

Haven't tried the Meta so can't really comment on that, sorry!
Rokid would definitely be fine with your -5, but you might see that black bar I talked about at the top a bit

for the xreal 2 pro, will I be able to use it for cycling outdoors? Will be great if I can see navigation apps like google map..etc... in my visual rather than having to look at my phone on the phone holder at the bicycle front bar.
You can search LAWK AR GLASSES, they have that function!
Literally what I want to use it for, only walking.
the xreal things seem to not be available from Amazon Canada. and the other two are over $800 here!!! I think that I should wait for the prices to go down.
I’m most likely getting the xreal, only planning on using it for my steam deck to avoid worsening neck pain
Great comparison video, really helped narrow things down between these brands.
Thanks! Glad it was of help!
one of the best reviews for buyers pov! for me it seems I will wait for "xreal air 3 pro" and hope it has dioptric correction.
Appreciate the comment!
Don't you have blurry edges and also bubble effects over here and there with the xreal? The bubble effect can be seen while reading a text on mine. Therefore I will return mine back.
I didn't particularly feel that with my pair (and head/nose shape/size)
I use my xreal on my pc all the time the only thing is that you need is the hdmi adaptor (is like $30 on amazon) i dont know about the others .
how is the sound quality on a moving plane?
I used my AirPods so as to not disturb others around me.
cool, thank you.

What about vuzix z100 ??
Interesting. I’ve seen a lot of reports that xreal has messed up the polarization on the air 2 and it also has very blurry edges compared to the viture and air 1
I didn't notice particularly blurry edges on the Xreal!
Great review. Can you check xreal ultra. Thanks
Thanks! I've got my eyes set on the Ultras, will try get a unit to review. Make sure you're subscribed to get notified if I do that video ;)
Thank you for the thorough review. I sincerely appreciate the time and thought you put into this.
Glad you found it useful, thanks for watching!
It’s starting to look to me that you are getting paid by Viture ;)
@riftabot I haven’t tried gaming on either.

Nope, did not experience that
I was thinking about getting some ar glasses to game while in my truck. Using a monitor is incredibly uncomfortable.
U can’t even see the whole screen on the xreal, blurry rounded bottom edges. The viture screen is the perfect size to see whole screen.
Same, the xreal was better for me when I was gaming. When I used the virture my goodness I couldn't use it for five minutes. That 120hz really does help a lot. So I returned the viture and kept the xreal.
Is the image blurry at all? I got the Rayneo air 2 and thinking about ordering xreal also because of blurry text on the Rayneo
@@fuentesjuanjose90 Glad to hear it, I ordered a pair a xreals so I'll compare. Should come on Saturday.
Excellent review. I wish I watched it sooner. Thank you.
Glad it was of help!
Was such a pleasure reading your comment-many thanks for it, it’s quite encouraging :)
Tried all three of them. To me, I feel like the Viture is overall the best among them. Rokid is ugly and the edge of Xreal's screen is kind of blurry.
Xreal edges are blurry because the screen is bigger. Try to shrink the screen size and no more blurry. That’s about the same screen size as viture.
Agreed!
If you don't care about ugliness does rokid still among the best?
So he went for aesthetics basically
@@pinocchio7490But the resolution will be lowered too. I consider this as a faulty product.
Awesome review!
Can i use them if i wear glasses?
You can but they're unlikely to be comfortable. Would rather recommend either wearing contact lenses, or buying the lens inserts. Or get ones with diapoters that you can adjust to your vision.
Good review - thanks. I purchased the Viture - waiting for it to arrive and hope I like them.
Thanks! Hope you enjoy your new Vitures!
We're still in early stages for all of these glasses, so as an early adopter, I don't set my expectations too high.
ooops, you fucked up...
@@davidmartin5995 i had nreal air 1st gen, ordered 2nd gen but returned it and and moved to Viture, best glasses ever.
Virtue magnetic connector is a nightmare. It keeps pulling your hair and easily disconnect by accident.
