Absolutely agree with Hollow @davidwehlegames I’m watching his playthrough now, and previously watched Gabsmolders. After playing the demo, I’m beyond excited for this. So different, so unique, incredibly special
Buy the ranch! You won’t regret it. We just bought a good piece of land in a rural part of our state and although the convenience of family close by and all the stores aren’t there, the land itself is worth it. We’re planning on growing our garden and getting more chickens with a few goats! Also just the peace and quiet and knowing this land is yours to do as you please is satisfying!
I moved out to a wooden house in the country 9 years ago - never regret it for one second. Good remote work, good internet, able to buy anything online, can always go to the city if I want to - paradise on earth.
@TheMrChozen True, but only sometimes. And Chrysops (deer flies?) are worse. Yet like with everything else - being exposed to them you learn how to deal with them. Although, no doubt - country life is a deal not to everyone equally atractive.
Almost 3 years ago, I bought an old Japanese farmhouse in the rural area of East Hiroshima. Didn't start living there full-time until a year and a half ago but, when I did, it took some adjusting. It's unbelievably quiet and the sounds are all non-human related so if you don't immediately recognize what it is -- especially at night -- then it can be unnerving. I couldn't sleep well for over 3 weeks after moving in. The house is a 200 year-old kominka, made of all wood and with a grass roof that was retrofitted later with a metal cover. That roof is really tall and despite being one floor only, there 's over 1500 square feet of space on the main floors, which are nearly 3 feet off the ground. An engawa, or porch/veranda, goes all the way around three sides of the house, just like the old houses you see in Japanese historical films or TV shows. It didn't use to have anything blocking the weather but they installed sliding glass windows/doors all the way around, so anything the wind blows even a little, all of those door frames and glasses shake. Small, occasional tremors or earthquakes also cause the entire house to shimmy and rattle. It took a while to get used to, as I lived there alone and wasn't familiar with some of the countryside sounds -- especially those freaking deer! However, once I got used to it, I slept like a baby and better than anywhere in the city, especially thanks to the frogs singing in the evenings. Very soothing.
Extremely interesting read, thank you for sharing! I prefer living in much quieter parts of a city, but I don't think I could adjust to the sounds the sounds of a forest at night alone. I can see how once your mind has time to identify new sounds, they get drowned out like everything else.
Mr. Hollow, As your Turkish followers, we recommend that you play the Apartment No. 129 game. This have exactly the kind of ambiance that you will like. There are cinematic scenes of real actors.
As a Canadian who moved out into the woods a couple years ago, I'd highly recommend. My advice is just don't wait too long. My parents moved with me in their mid-fifties and they said that they were glad they moved when they did because if they'd waited another 10 years, they'd be too old. My mom's best friend thinks she's too old to make the move now. My nana always wanted to make the move to the woods as well and also waited too long. If it's something you really, truly want to do, make it happen somehow. I do know a buddy who built a tiny cabin in the woods a few hours away from his house because he also couldn't move away due to his family, but wanted to experience living in the woods.
Please don't ever stop making horror videos!! You were the first person I watched play a video game and I loved it!I love these so much and I will die if they ever stop!! Love you Hollow!!!! ❤❤
I tune into your channel here and there to look for new games, and it seems like you keep getting healthier and more happy each time I'm here. Congratulations on the success of the channel and your life in general, brother
Hi thanks for sharing your playthrough. One thing I highly recommend to people who move there muse as fast as you. Try walking outside and move your head about like you move your FOV with a mouse and describe ANYTHING you otherwise would have seen. You can't because the human eye is incapable of registering things that fast without an Eidetic memory. Slow your X and Y mouse to more match how fast your head moves in RL. Think of all the times you hear someone say "I missed that" or watch them do so because they sweep there FOV so fast. There were about 5 things in the first 20 min you missed. The game is incredible and the amount of detail for just one guy making it was a personal passion project makes it that much more brilliant. I truly hope he can take it the rest of the way to a full release without having to involve sole sucking Big Game groups.
I just played this demo yesterday! Absolutely loved it! You didn't notice the face in the rear view mirror.. that scared the crap out of me lol. I also noticed things that happened in your game that didn't happen in mine, so that's pretty cool for replay value.
I can NOT wait for this game to be released. I'm really happy David is making games again. I'm definitely buying this. Really hope it's available on Switch.
Ya know, watching you play this makes me realize horror movies really aren't that unrealistic. I mean, you running from the dogs after jumping from the second story of the barn, then not dropping the zinc plates to get your axe out to defend yourself, but rather run while encumbered, then lead them to your chickens are just classic horror movie character traits. Still absolutely frustrating.
Omg @ 1:25 - 1:26 where he says, "So I drove for" You can see a white-eyed entity in the rear-view mirror. 🤯 The camera moves pretty quickly so best to pause quickly when you hear + see it. 🫣 Surprisingly enough, you can see the guy who's playing the game turn his head and it seems like he's looking down at it from above. 🤣
we are not used to comment on youtube videos or posts in general, but we always watch your videos with my boyfriend, we want you to know that you helped us a lot entertaining us during our emigration from argentina to italy and we hope you keep making more horror content so you can keep “helping” us in our next stage of migration (because we are not going to stay here 😂) you are without a doubt our favorite gamer 🌱
I can't be the only one who was throwed off when the game asks you to "shoot 5 cans on a log pile, EAST of the house". I'm thinking, "He's on the correct side of the house since that's the side the sun has been coming up.", but NOPE! He whips out his map and compass an lo and behold the sun apparently rises in the West in this game. I would of been looking for that log pile on the wrong side of the house FOREVER, before I would have checked my compass.
Saw other gamers play this and STILL want to watch Hollow's reaction to this game. The power of Hollow fr haha. Can't wait until the full game comes out
Dude, I’m pretty new to your channel but you’ve got such a legit glow up.. I started with some older videos and now seeing newer ones. Definitely seeing some gym gains man that’s awesome. Keep it up 👍
Hollow is the number 1 TH-camr who plays horror games. I watch you videos in class while doing class work and I watch your videos as soon I get home and I watch your videos at restaurants. Basically everywhere I go I’m always watching your videos❤❤❤
the music is so good in this, even with marked copyright off. Most of these games you play im like yeah i can live w/o playing it and just watching it, but this one looks like something id buy for sure.
I've lived on a farm almost my whole life. i love it, and this game looks really nice. i might even get it. nice video by the way. Love watching tour content over and over again
So did he not see the little girl almost right after he read the company party sign jumps into the truck got the zinc then the oil can turns around and there’s a fucking whole ass person staring at him through the window. 😅
In the beginning, the character sounds similar to like Alan Wake and the music sounds similar to the Last of Us when walking to the house the first time.
This was the game I felt very relatable to the main character of the game. Man , it sure feels peaceful out there away from the hustle and bustle of the city. For a peace loving person like me , this is a perfect place।
Houses are so expensive right now everywhere, if you can buy one come buy one up here in Maine. Winter sucks but it’s a beautiful state. I watched this game a couple weeks ago, really liked it

please play the full version when it comes out, this has to be one of my favorite demos, been watching from the uk for many years, love your channel,
The head in the window at 39:53 as soon as he said considering it’s a horror game

I hope you make this a series. If I'm going to watch someone play a story based horror game, you are always my first choice.

This game might be revolutionary. On top of that, the voice acting is incredible for an indie game. I enjoyed this playthrough of yours!
I wouldn't call it revolutionary tbh

I had to put the playback at .25 just to catch it. Very brief, but its there! Good catch!
