Indeed. If I’d known then what I know now I would’ve recorded and kept every episode! However, it’s been a struggle when moving home and storing the tapes I did keep.
Thank you for uploading these, I was a big fan of the show I think it’s hard for people under 40 to understand how this was pre internet, to see clips and reviews of films now we can view everything online.
I'm just flicking through, but was stunned to see in the box office top 10 that Three Men and a Little Lady was higher than Home Alone, and Robin Hood was higher than Terminator 2. It's amazing thinking back to the state of mind we had when all these films were new. (Would Home Alone only have been out for a few weeks when this end of year review happened, I suppose. In any case, I'm pretty sure that 9 year old me saw Home Alone 4 times at the cinema, but Three Men and a Little Lady only three times! 7 weeks of matinees, man alive.)
Haha! I’ve watched DwW once and enjoyed it. I’ve often thought about watching it again, but committing time to a long film needs the right frame of mind and of course the time!
As Barry might say: “well, actually no”. In those days we didn’t know how most celebrities and presenters felt about politics because they didn’t have an easy way to communicate with the public. But Barry did via this show, and his amusing jibes went under the radar. Which brings up an interesting thought. If he was a presenter today would he be ‘cancelled’ for sharing his thoughts on Twitter/X and when his controversial clips went viral?
Yes, the last minute is missing - but all the film choices are there. Just the end credits montage is missing.
Crazy how a show I used to watch on a weekly basis is now a historical document of a year in cinema.

Dances with Wolves one of the top ten, along with watching the grass grow, watching paint dry, and the other top activites.

I had this on video too, can't believe it's over 30 years ago . Jonathan Ross is a pale and poor imitation of Barry Norman.
12:16 Dave Chapelle
Wow, he does look like him!
@@vhs_videohomesystem Pretty sure it is.
So interesting seeing this stuff from the past. Thanks
32:50 the top 10 worst list
Whenever I need cheering up I always watch the top 10 worst and his sarcastic commentary cheers me up.
Curly Sue and Men at Work should be excluded
Bazza was woke before woke was a thing
😂😂No, he wasn't.
Yes, he involved his political views in this film show.
Typical BBC political diatribe at the beginning..

Damn, Barry Norman has terrible taste.
He knew we mostly disagreed with him: th-cam.com/users/shortsGuc2_DDDGpo?si=_cnmnQwoRSVe-VDa

Everyone is unique and has their own preferences and opinions. I am sure many people would also disagree with my personal best of list
