Tom might not have resembled Lestat physical to a tee but he definitely represented his personality and energy through his acting. And that's what brought the character to life

Programmes might even improve - yeah right! It absolutely sent a demolition van through the quality engine that ITV easily into the early 90's and up to then still was...yes LWT and Central still existed after but only for so long before those very inferior replacements such as Carlton seeking to and succeeding in destroying the whole ITV regional setup and yeah - mission succeeded in destroying the model that ITV and the likes of Thames etc. once was.

It could be that in the system, the BBC uploaded a copy of that episode with an ident at the beginning as I’ve had that too on a separate channel when trying to upload another BBC One ident.

Ah yes, memories. For the last 15 years or so, I have been meaning to put this on TH-cam but just never got around to it, so thank you very much indeed for doing this. I remember this pre-teaser trailer on the Star Trek III tape.

I loved the film and all the actors and actresses. An all time classic love spell through and through even in 2024.

When The South Bank Show did an episode in the late 90s discussing Coronation Street like it was high art, that was the beginning of the end of ITV as a respected broadcaster as far as I'm concerned!

I noticed BBC reporter John Fryer didn't do his research. He started his report saying "When ITV started in 1954...." Actually John, it was 1955!

All this happened because The Iron B1tch forgot we don't live under dictatorial rule, even though she tried her best. Thames lost out because Thatcher didn't believe we lived in a democratic country where freedom of the press and reporting facts are held in high regard. Oh and the fact that the boss of Carlton was a family friend. How the f**k they won the bid based on the "Quality Threshold" is beyond me!! 🤬 I was glad TV-am lost, Thatcher's favourite, because it always was sycophants, supporting and celebrating Thatcher all the time, so I didn't shed any tears over them losing the franchise.

*Tom & Brad were so perfect in that film. It will forever be preserved in my top 10 favorites. Full of mystery & tragedy, but in a way that keeps you invested in their heavy, dark journey* ⚰️

The upscaling looks really nice! The originals would have been 25fps (Shot on film), but it's interesting to see them at 50fps

Regarding Casualty, there are lots of similarities between Julian Chapman's character then and that of Dylan Keogh's character now, IMO.

Any chance you have original HD file if you can share via Google drive or something.

When this happened I was 16, I'm an American, I will never forget any of it. The jumpers. I will never never never forget them. Many nee sites cut the video of them jumping and specifically the sounds it made when the jumpers hit. May they RIP. As horrific as that was to hear at the time and realize what you were hearing...I think it's incredibly important to hear it. With a warning of course. More importantly, the jumpers ahould be remembered, the horror, absolute horror they faced, shouldn't be forgotten or edited out
