Probably one of the most underrated gymnasts
with a good landing she would have got the gold easily.
Don't be so sure, in Quals she had a pretty good exercise, and had the exact same score as Mustafina had in the final. So, I'd say it would have been tight...
Seeing how she took a 0.3 step and 0.1 step immediately after, it's safe to assume she would've gained 0.4 if she stuck the dismount

I've always loved Beth Tweddle. Beautiful gymnast but even more beautiful person. She was always smiling, giving hugs, and being supportive of other competitors.
:-) This made me so happy for Beth. I like that she isn't afraid to admit that she knows it wasn't the best sportsmanship moment of her life (haha) but she secretly wanted Gabby to not push her out of the medals :-D It's only human to think that in that moment, I think. She really deserved this medal.
I agree - I had to smile when she candidly admitted she was thinking "oh come on, you've already got two Olympic gold, I just want one medal!" I think most of us would have thought the same in her position. I'm sure that probably had mixed feelings when Gabby Douglas made her mistake - sorry for Gabby but glad it would mean she finally had her medal

I'm American and I was also hoping that Gabby wouldn't push Beth out of the medals. She's an icon, honestly, and an innovator on bars. She earned that medal after so many years of hard work.
I can honestly say I don't blame her for those thoughts. Id feel the same way - like exactly, you've already got a couple metals - can i please get mine? 😂 Even now - as much as I admire simone biles, sometimes i cant help but think how many would finally be able to metal once she's done. There are so many amazing gymnasts innthe world! And again - I'm not saying this in a negative way whatsoever. It's just a fact ❤

It must have been unbearable for Beth watching the final three gymnasts go - MASSIVE congratulations for the bronze - such a pity about the step on landing which probably was the one thing that stopped her from getting gold, but bronze is brilliant too!! Who cares if she had one of two unsportsman-like thoughts during Gabrielle's routine - she's human ha ha I think most people in Beth's position would have been thinking the same lol
I think most of us not in her position were thinking that too! And it almost certainly wasn't like 2008, when the lack of a medal could motivate her to keep going. I believe it has been confirmed that it would have been gold without that step - which I find extremely sad, so I'm glad she doesn't view it that way.

I was there and don’t remember ever being so tense at a sporting event. But for stumbling backward, bronze could have been even better
She had a super routine but her dismount landing wasn't that good, she lost a lot of points in execution due to those steps and lack of control. I think She was able to win the gold medal, she had an insane difficult routine and really nice execution in her skills. :)
I’m still mad she only got a bronze. Stuck landing or not she had a much higher DOD and execution than anyone that year in my opinion.
Ikr she'd have most likely got gold given that she took 0.3 and 0.1 step, so she'd have been at least up by 0.1 on Mustafina. But I'm not mad at the podium, Mustafina is a class bar worker.
She was always up against superior gymnast countries, so glad to see her get a medal in the end

But Douglas admitted she didn't have any chance to medal as her D.score was only 6.6 compared to the ones from Komova, Mustafina, and He who were Tweddle's real opponents with 7.0 and 7.1

No. She would have gotten the silver with a stuck landing, but not gold.

Even with a 6.6 difficulty (in the ALL ROUND) it wasn’t still possible
