    Atlanta wants a team with a great owner. Look i understand anybody wanting a team in Quebec City. I hope the Nordiques make it back. But quit the hate on the people of Atlanta. Atlanta has die hard fans that still support the NHL even without a team. I whope we get our Thrashers back and I also hope that Canada gets another team. This can be a win win for everyone.

      People forget the elephant in the room with Quebec City. The potential owner didn't want to pay 500 million for a franchise. The cost has doubled now

    • @jdsmith1740
      @jdsmith1740 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @darinkasaboski6829 thats a very good point. Same with Houston. The owner of the Houston Rockets reportedly didn't want to pay 300 million back before vegas came into the league. So the 1.3 Billion dollar cost is out of the question for these potential owners. Atlanta has 2 potential ownership groups both with deep pockets to buy a team and also build the building and entertainment districts. If it's Anson Carters group or the Krause group. I do believe the NHL is coming to Atlanta and I couldnt be happier!

      Sure, that will REALLY fly in Toronto and Montreal. Look at how much money the CFL makes in those cities! Do you think all those Habs and Leafs fans are in a hurry to say goodbye to decades of rivalries with the likes of the Bruins, Red Wings, Black Hawks, etc.? You need to be in a world-class league to draw fans in Toronto.

    Is arena location always an issue in US cities?
    Everybody knows Bettman's agenda after 30 years but I stupidly ask why forcefeed hockey into these fickle markets that need everything on a platter? Screw Atlanta on a third try. The league was wise enough, years ago, to admit failure and collapse Cleveland into Minnesota.
    Arizona should've been relocated to the GTA.
    If anything, there are too many teams offering a watered down product where bush leaguers are hacking and whacking the superstars.

    • @ScottMeeson
      @ScottMeeson 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      You are absolutely right. The league is watered down enough. There are five to six players on each team that should be in the minors.

    • @darinkasaboski6829
      @darinkasaboski6829 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Why is arena location allowed to be used as an excuse for Ottawa but not Atlanta. Also Atlanta lost their first franchise because the owner went broke in his other business and Calgary outbid Ted Turner. The Thrashers got doomed by the Time Warner AOL merger. I wouldn't go out of my way to go back to Atlanta but a new building and an ownership using Anson Carter as a front man than the league can tout some weak diversity in ownership nonsense

    Whoever the insider who said nhl is under represented in the USA compared to other big sports isn't thinking that you still need to count the Canadian teams because you don't jave enough talent to support so many teams. Every league is watered down when it comes to talent and it makes some teams just unwatchable in my opinion.
