I am surprised at how clean he was able to get the tone. This is the first video I have seen where someone has shown you can get a clean tone from this amp.

I am absolutely astonished at your demo of this amplifier as I am watching it years later obviously I played this app for some time and I had to really figure out how Friedmans’s are voiced and understand the controls completely to get the tones you were getting I originally thought it was only going to be dirt and I had hoped for a plexi Hot Rod amplifier, but it seemed a little too hot and you truly are about the only demo out. There gets any clean tones at all and it’s a disappointment because I think that makes it harder for the amplifiers to be sold more people need to see this video because 9:23 there is a ton of these on the market for nothing for $1000. It’s crazy, you’re a great guitarist. I don’t know but I’m a totally blind guy and I met you at Nam, but you may not remember my friend.
Really appreciate the Demo, Tom. Very well done. Full props. Not a deal breaker but the clearly LOUD pops between changes to the gain staging is bit of a drag and I wish there was a standard standby switch. Curious why Dave omitted it as for my MKIV for e.g. Mesa is very adamant that we use it.

I actually love the sound of the 10 inch than a 12. I have both head and combo versions.
I have a 10 inch princeton next to a 12 inch blackstar that’s been modded. I go with the 10 inch way more. The bass is much less, and just in general you don’t have to crank the amp to get good sounds. Way quieter too...that 2” of speaker really makes a difference
Thing is, you can gig just about anywhere with this amp and the 10in speaker does tighten up the low end by default, no need for my boss sd1 I usually use to tighten up the low end, I just use an ep booster to drive it harder and it sounds great using just the volume controls on an hss strat. Really great little amp.
This amp sounds great! For metal tones, how about using a Jackson , Ibanez or ESP/LTD guitar?

I really like that clean tone. It is actually pretty rare for a tube amp to have that full bodied cleans, usually they get too sweet and jangly. Would you say that those cleans could keep up headroom wise in a band situation?
I have watched this video more times than I true. Well then I truly care to admit Tom you’re an amazing guitarist. It was your encouragement that got me started with cream tea and so and so forth I am blind and dictating my message so please excuse any errors and spelling, however I am curious to know as I love this amplifier myself and have one. I also bought that based on this video as well. I truly think you’re a great guitarist and I certainly aspire to that greatness I’ve been playing for about 40 years. people say I’m good but I’m certainly no rockstar lol either my question is about the quality of victory products I want to know what your opinion is of the victory sheriff 25 up-to-date to now what you think of the amp build quality and do you think it’s just an overseas PCB board reconstruction boutique put together in the UK or is this a worthy Amplifier? It’s really hard to understand or be sure I have no doubts about Friedman and several of them but I do like some of the tones that are on the sheriff thanks. 1:29 1:35 1:36

Killer demo, but what is the difference between the PT mini combo and the PT20 mini head and cabined?
I think the combo is a single 10" speaker with OPEN back cabinet........vs the mini head with CLOSED back cabinet. This is the classic difference between combo's vs head + cabinet. Most great studio albums were indeed recorded with combo's.

@@emdblues Sent it back to Friedman, who changed the chassis (because they couldn't work out what was wrong), got it back and sold it. Now I have a Marshall 1974X and I'm so happy.

Does the Pink Taco sit above the BE in the lineup? Or reverse depending on position?
I don't know about the 10" speaker. I think that pink taco would prefer a 12".
But then again it is a tight sound, positively dripping with tone.
