Using some crushed lepidolite I make my first channel inlay ring and it turns out pretty good!

I think it turned out beautifully Lauren! Not to mention it was your first time. What a sweet idea from your coworker for his wife. I'm sure she's going to love the one made from their rocks! Thanks for sharing a new skill and talent!✌️🤠

Great video, the ring is super nice. Making things with what tools you have can be a challenge and you certainly overcame that. Thank you for sharing.

That ring turned out really well! Stones you used were a good choice to practice with because they are a soft stone and are already shiny, so you dont have to shine the stone too. And i heard tungsten is best for channel set rings because the metal is hard and it doesnt scratch easily, so it will protect the stones, while giving you a durable metal to work with while you are working the channel. All in all, i think its beautiful.

Thank you! I’m going to make more for sure. I’m tempted to set some petrified wood in one. 😊

Thanks for your video! After seeing it, I couldn’t wait to try making a ring. I purchased a few items to start and made a sentimental ring from rocks that I have personally hounded. It was so fun and I got a very satisfying result. I’m already planning my next ring!
I really enjoy your channel and informative, fun videos!

You did a nice job. Frustrating when you have to wait for a repair to return. I think your co-worker will really like it. Fyi, starbond ca has colored glue.
Keep the goodness coming, it's always a lot of fun. Be happy, safe and stay healthy 😷⚒

Thanks! It was so much easier with the flat lap. I made a second ring in about 45 minutes.

That turned out amazing! Nice work! Was looking a little scary there for a minute! A mandrel will definitely help out on the next one!

I improvised on the second one with a wooden dowel. It was certainly easier. 😊

Your fingers look like mine after using the glue! How did you get it off? It's so hard! Thank you. Wonderful video.
