An excellent video, I wish I saw it a couple weeks ago. I’m looking for a Fiat 500 and want the digital display, if I knew it was that easy to exchange from analog to digital I would’ve made the purchase. I’ll start watching your videos from time to time.
Massive improvement Paul, i'm a massive fan of the digital clocks in modern cars. I've got the virtual cockpit in my S4, its the thing you look at the most and for £160 why wouldn't anyone want to do this?
Nice one good little upgrade that. The classic clocks look nice but the LCD looks much smarter plus that Abarth symbol finishes it of. Surprised that it was plug and play so many new cars have lost that. Nice one very smart !!
Hi Paul nice to see your youtube video i had decided to also buy a tft screen and mounted it today in my abarth 312 of 2012 there are 3 functions that no longer working the turbo sport button does not work in the menu i don't see the function more to adjust the hour and also the year and date cannot be seen I have performed a Proxy alignment. I have mounted the original dashboard again and the turbo button works there again
@@dzry you can find the alfaobd program and it has the ability to write the correct settings for the turbo booster to the proxy. You cannot set the time, date and daytime running lights yourself in this speedometer. these speedometers work only with Uconnect radio and the installation of these functions has been transferred to the radio. Also there are no settings for Blue & me in this speedometer. If you watch this video carefully, you will see that it does not have the original little radio in the car and thus it has Blue & me removed. Also in this video, he did not set the date and time, because there is no such function in the speedometer. These speedometers work with a turbo booster, so you need to record this in a proxy I have bought an after-market kenwood radio but I have been waiting for 4 months behind a BLUE-UN11 CAN-BUS steering wheel interface with Blue&Me recovery for a kenwood Radio so plug and play normally everything should work with the tft screen from the start of the renovation I was able to do and everything works I will report it here
I've rented Fiat 500s with the analog speedo and bought a 2015 Abarth with a TFT speedo and the older radio in 2020. The TFT speedo is MUCH better for me because I can finally see at what speed I'm going! The top of the analog speedo was being cut off by the steering wheel! 😁
Don't know if you've noticed but after you did the proxi alignment the display went from abarth to fiat 500. Has a different centre screen and rpm gauge !
Odd question but do you know if the clusters can be swapped backwards, eg digital back to analog? I have a 2015 and I actually prefer the analog dials. Would it require coding as well?
nice i have to do this to my abarth 500.... tachometer sticks in warmer weather... 20'C and up it seems...think there is a difference for left hand drive models?
This can be done. But before you buy the digital dash you need the upgraded radio 2015+ . So fiat/abarth specialist can programme and update the mileage. Or use your own software
Hey Paul do you know if thr European clusters will work on the American, Canadian fiat 500s I'm having a hard time finding them in Canada or the United States but can find plenty in the uk

Unfortunately, the three things that you mentioned above are a side effect of doing this mod, since the elements that control these functions are set in the equivalent radio that comes with the TFT screen.
I’m in the United States and would like todo this on my 2013 , do I have to do the proxi alignment and multi scan if the mileage doesn’t bother me one bit? Will it just be a plug and play and working ?
You only need to proxi align if you want to correct the mileage also try and get the radio or get the same model radio from eBay or you wont be able to adjust the clock. Other than that it is plug and play.
I changed a recent fiat 500 mileage over from km to miles in the menu,if I'm correct as it was a hire car. I think it's either 1 of the 3 buttons on the clock or push button on the stalk

Multiecuscan should integrate those settings in their software for those who don’t have the Uconnect radio. How can I get the hexadecimal is on their forum? Thanks
Hello from the US Never been bold enough to swap out an instrument cluster/speedometer as a whole unit. In the US this is really difficult due to the odometer rollback law so most time it requires a shop to do. And you get paperwork that should go with the car when sold indicating odometer replacement. Is the same true in the UK? Also surprised it let the mileage be changed without registering in one of the modules that it has been recalibrated. Maybe because it went up vs down...?? But it looks cooler than the old one.
