Thanks a lot for checking out my video and the files 🙋🏾♂️. Nikon’s AF (with the Xpeed 7 processor) is just as good as the Sony and Canon system and sometimes better depending on what you do or how you use it. For reference I’ve shot with the Sony A9, A7iii, A7IV, A7Riii, A7RIV, A7RV, and Sony A1. On the Canon side I’ve used the Canon R3, RP, and R6. On the Fuji side I’ve used the Fuji GFX 50R and XT5.
@@Photomeike thanks for your insight dude! You’ve been one of my channel I go to for Nikon information i appreciate it 👏
Talk to Omar Gonzalez. He shoots Fuji, Nikon and Sony. He is an event photographer.
I have xt5 and Zf. Im actually susprised how well zf is nailing AF. Leagues ahead of fuji. Having said that I still enjoy xt5 and despite zf being better on so many fronts Im still grabbing my xt5 when I do casual shots. Fuji magic is real. Nikon is great but experience wise fuji rocks! I'm happy now I haven't sold my xt5. 😀
Do you have the 50mm 1.8 S for your ZF yet? It’s a magical lens. I got it for mine and I love the combo
@@Ponskippa yes! Amazing lens! I was schocked how well it handles chromatic aberrations. Pin sharp yet smooth. Voiglander apo vibe 👌 prime lenses brought me to nikon in a first place. Weather resistant, sharp, nice rendering and priced well (unlike Canon). Even basic kit zooms are great.
@@MrElthan it’s the first lens in a long time that literally made me say Wow. Hehe.
Dude... I used the Z6iii yesterday. The camera absolutely blows the X-H2s out of the water. The thing is blazing fast and the focus almost looks like it's not focusing, but EVERY SHOT is in focus. Amazing. I'm just done with Fuji X man - I don't trust it any longer!
@@JerredZ yay Jerred, I’m also a Fuji refugee considering the Z6 III. Is a crying shame that Fuji just can’t seem to get their firmware right, I suspect under the hood it’s a bit clumsy and probably needs a total overhaul.
But stillbthe sensor readout speed of the z6iii is three 3 times lower than the xh2s(xh2s is faster).
@@dilupeevandebona7237 that doesn’t matter much if Fuji’s autofocus can’t use that speed properly. Their latest firmware update that just came out to “fix” the reported issues still seems to be full of glitches.
@@dilupeevandebona7237 not too sure what your point is, obviously it's a fast (fully stacked) sensor - but it doesn't make much difference if Fuji's autofocus system can't keep up with it, or properly use that speed to it's advantage (i.e. it should be able to make a lot more AF calculations).
ex-Fuji shooter taking refuge in the Sony system now. The Z6iii looks phenomenal. Best part is, I can still use my Sony lenses on my Z6iii when I get it.
I sold my XH2 for the Z8 for the lens selection and the FF sensor. I loved the XH2 but I feel that the Z8 is a worthy upgrade.
I think that you need to learn how to setup the autofocus in the Nikon Z mount. It has very sticky reliable autofocus. There are different settings for birds and humans as well as landscape autofocus.
Autofocus with the Z8 is a learning curve to get nailed, and if you set it up with the proper settings it is close to Canon and Sony.
The sticky eye capture needs to be set up in settings, and you really need to have it set up DIFFERENTLY for every type of shooting, i.e., landscape, birds people.
It has a setting you choose to let you choose how fast it re-acquires the subject when moving. Many of the reviews mentioned it may be slow when re acquiring a subject, but it is because autofocus needs to be setup DIFFERENTLY than other cameras. This is why you see bird autofocus work so stellar. Choosing the proper settings for the way you shoot and what you shoot is key.
In the settings you can make settings for every type of shooting style and the put them in what Nikon calls banks and choose each style of shooting by banks setup on the fly by having it attached to a function button.
Autofocus is acquired by the way the camera is setup. I went to B&H and tried the Z8 and Z9 and autofocus was stellar.
That 70-200mm F2.8 VR S is a game changer. I bought the Viltrox 16mm 1.8 lens and will by the 180 600mm lens and I bought the Tamron 28-75 F2.8 G2 lens.
I feel that I wanted a bit more and I wanted the XH2S instead of the XH2 but I chose the XH2 for higher MP.
The Z8 gave me the best of both worlds with better lens selection, better low light performance and way sharper than my XH2 because of the lens selection. Nikon color science is also stellar.
THE Z8 was 3395 The 70 200mm f2.8 VR S can be bought from 1695 to 2295 or you can buy the 70 180mm for 1099.00.
Zoom lens like the Tamron 150-500 can be had for 1100 or the 180 600mm for 1699.00. I had the Tamron 150-500 on Fuji and it is an excellent Zoom lens. For 100mm more reach the internal focusing 180 600mm is very appealing.
I bought a Viltrox 16mm 1.8 lens for 449.00 which is as good as my Viltrox 13mm 1.4.
Now I have the XH2S and the XH2 in the Z8 with better lens selection excellent coor science and low light performance as well as autofocus performance.
The Nikon z8 is only 300 euros more than the z6iii here in Europe, I might go that route.
Bro same with the AF. I can’t wait for Fuji so I’m shopping as well
I tend to shoot in manual focus, so autofocus isn’t a deal breaker for me. The only thing that I would have to consider is the lens size and costs from going apsc into full frame. I’m coming from a hobbyist perspective.
FF lenses are usually cheaper and lighter if you consider equivalence.
I used to shoot with the Nikon Z6 and Z7ii. The images were so awesome-better than Sony but the af stunk. The Z6iii is going to be a game changer for Nikon. I’m tempted to go back. Nah!!! Fuji will get the af right at some point with their firmware updates.
K sure hope so soon!!!😂
X-H2S owner here with an overall 20+ years experience. I still don’t understand the autofocus complaints on the Fuji flagship cameras. I have rare issues with autofocus in event photography and wildlife. It’s been wonderful for me. But, I have been waiting for someone to talk about the two cameras since I’ve been eyeing the z6iii for low light capabilities. I have owned the Zf for a few weeks now (and shot Nikon for years) and the autofocus is pretty sweet except in lower light. I shot both cameras for an event using flash and honestly, both performed well but those full frame shots felt better quality. Admittedly, I was using a 50mm 1.8 shooting wide open and no flash when I had AF issues. When I used flash, it was flawless. Anyway, bottom line is I am thinking of going back to Nikon but not because of autofocus. More for the lenses. If autofocus is your number one priority, you cannot go wrong with Sony.
You should see if you can get one on loan or buy it and send it back if you don’t like it. The bundle with the 24-70 F4 is in stock and shipping right now at B&H and Adorama. It would be fun to hear your perspective on it.
The Z9 autofocus has become solid and consistent in recent iterations of the firmware and Jared Polin posted a review of the Z6III focus system and he seemed to be quite satisfied.
@@waveland thanks I’ll check that out!
I don’t find my Fuji XH2 that bad for focusing. But I have not tried any newer systems from other manufacturers. The latest update in firmware I feel they regressed….opps. Of course I’m from older DSLR’ s from Canon. Dang no camera is perfect in all areas. I just can’t give up the straight out camera Jpeg’s from Fuji.
Totally agree about xt5 auto focus. I think my xt3 focuses better!
For your style of shooting, Tongue, I think you would really enjoy shooting with the Z6iii. One other thing to note: I think Nikon has supplanted Fuji as the Kaizen-king. Nikon has been doing a great job with their Z8/Z9/Zf cameras in terms of releasing new firmware updates that improve operability, refining AF and adding new features.
I agree!
I went from the Xt5 to a nikon zf and sony a7cii.
I find the nikon performs close to the sony and way better than my xt5.
I was a longtime fujifilm shooter since 2016. So it was hard to move on.
The idea was to have a nikon zf and fujifilm x100vi. But with the backorder I decided to give sony a try at practically the same price.
There are really three reasons to shoot Fuji:
- Fuji colors / film sims, they're better than anyone else SOOC
- You love rangefinders / analog controls, although the zF is a very strong option here too (but not a rangefinder). So, X-H2/S don't apply here, and X-T5 is so close to ZF I'd say it's a tie. But there is no alternative to X-Pro / X100 lines
- Small size, but only applies if you use the smaller f/2 lenses. For Fuji's best f/1.4 and /1.2 lenses, they are much closer to new FF f/1.8 options in terms of size
Taken together, at least for me, these three combine to form a critical Golden Reason: Fuji is the most fun. But may not be for you anymore, especially if you're getting frustrated by AF.
Fuji doesn't have real rangefinders either though. The X-Pro and X100 line is not bad, but quite different, especially if one likes manual focus. I found the X100V useless for manual focusing, and the OVF was useless for autofocus because the framelines kept jumping back and forth due to the parallax compensation. I had to recompose after each focus and decided to use the EVF instead.
imo, the ZF feature where you get face detect punch in with manual lenses just renders the entire Fuji system irrelevant. At least to me. Now one can use vintage lenses without cropping out the true characteristics, and still get the manual dials.
New Fuji firmware is out supposedly fixing the AF bugs. I would be super curious about the test you did before to see if it has actually improved at all. I found your test to be the most "real world" testing how well face and eye AF actually worked so props to you!
Nikon autofocus is awesome.
I’ve been watching more Nikon content and it looks solid!
Man, what timing with this video. I shoot with the X-T5 and the X-H2S but have my eye on the Nikon Z6iii.
I’m just traumatized from the Fuji issue that I want to hear real world experience with the Nikon autofocus. Though Fuji just released a new firmware update which I haven’t done yet so we’ll see how that goes.
Great video and keep them bangers coming.
From a photographer’s perspective, the Nikon system works perfectly fine. I shoot with the Nikon, Sony, Canon and Fujifilm so there’s no bias here.
After the firmware 4.0 update for Fujifilm XH2, my older Nikon Z6 was much more reliable for photo and video than my XH2 and that’s not an over exaggeration. I haven’t compared them since the 5.0 update for the XH2 was released. I also own a Z8 and that has been significantly more reliable across the board. So Nikon is nowhere near as bad as certain influencers would have you believe.
Man thanks for this insight, it makes me feel better for sure!
When I shoot people with glasses, I notice my Z9 struggles to get the iris sometimes. I notice it has to do with the thickness of glasses. People with thinner glasses it doesn’t struggle with but I know someone with thick glasses and it almost never get the iris. That’s with the 85mm 1.2 so very shallow dof. I also noticed a handful of times the Z9 back focuses on the wall or something but that’s super rare. I shot both the XT5 and the Z9 and there is definitely a difference in image quality and just the pop in the photos and for me, better skin tones, etc. I sold my Fuji and have a preorder on the z6iii to go with my Z9.
I wear glasses all the time due to myopia. My a6700 nails focus on my eyes every single time, never on my glasses 👍
Nikon z6iii vs fuji xh2s, which one is better on image quality & color science?
😅 i ll take fuji all day
Z6iii for sure. Colour can be edited in post, but IQ of FF vs X-Trans APSC is quite different. I sold off my Fuji kit because it's just not sharp, and has too much chroma noise/artifacts in LR.
I have slowly transitioned from Fuji (XT-5 & XH2S) to the ZF and now the Z6III. I just got the Z6III obviously, so I can't speak to it yet. I have however used the ZF for a while now alongside my XH2S and its AF is leagues ahead. It's honestly not even comparable, ESPECIALLY in low light. Comparing something like the XT-5 with the ZF in terms of low light AF makes the XT-5 feel like a potato.
If you remember, please post your thoughts. I'm in the exact same boat. I haven't sold my Fujifilm X-H2S yet.
@@juliettemansour So far I have only used the Z6iii for an engagement session and a bridal shower, so somewhat limited usage. I do have a wedding this weekend which will be my true test for the camera. I’ve also poked around at the RAW files and edited some to see how they hold up. My first impression is that its the best camera I have right now. The AF is definitely snappier than the ZF even, the viewfinder is a dream. I’d say the ergonomics are similar to the XH2S, but the files coming out of the z6iii have more latitude because of the larger sensor. The battery life seems better if not the same as the ZF. I haven’t yet had a chance test out the video features, that’s going to take me longer. However I will most likely shoot my next video entirely on the z6iii to test out the video features.
@@filmbyalim thank you for the response. Appreciate it!
@@juliettemansour You're welcome, happy to help! :)
this is great thanks for your insights!
I'm off Fuji, grabbing the R6ii, 28-70 and 85 1.2 next month, fuji is never gonna get their auto focus up to industry standards. If they keep having to firmware it, that tells you more than enough.
Man I was also looking at the R6ii or the R5 and jumping from Fuji.
@alf.quijano7582 I thought about the R5 as well, there are good deals on them right now.
I've been using an X-T5 but recently had a chance to try a Sony A7R5. The AF on that thing was brilliant - didn't even have to think about it. However I was not a fan of the ultimate image rendition it provided. Fuji has me spoiled with noise that looks more natural and beautiful colors. I felt Sony looked more digital and their out of camera colors didn't impress me. Nikon seems to have the image rendering down - I've loved pretty much everything I've seen out of their cameras, including sample RAWs I've downloaded. Reviews lead me to believe the AF is great on the EXPEED 7 cameras, but I've also seen complaints on forums about eyelash focus. I have a Z6 III coming today so I'll see how that goes.
Im with you with the Sony sensor noise, it looks more like static eg you get loads of white pixels. Ultimately I have moved from fuji to the canon R6mkii ( to many focusing issues to tolerate for me) I dont need all the vidio functions, if I do shoot video its for short IG/tiktok reals at wedding, eg hair dresser doing her thing with hair.
@@gaza4543 A friend of mine recently went from a 6D II to the R6 II. I think Canon's image quality and colors are beautiful, and honestly the choice to go Nikon vs Canon for me just came down to each company's lens strategy.
@@hanns1401 indeed, canon does have a strange outlook on lenses in regards to the RF mount. I say pick your poison as you rightly say.
Hopefully the aggressive pricing of the Nikon Z6 III, Fuji will be forced to reduce the price of the X-H2s it was discounted by £500 for a long time
I think we are spoiled these days for autofocus.. sucks is harsh, is it worse in AFC since last firmware update (on certain cameras) , yes (and fuji have said it will be fixed this month) will it still be worse than others, probably, as fuji is behind.
Since I shoot AF-S 90% of the time I'm not effected by the poor (compared to competition) AF-C performance but when I use AF-C it is generally good does it work every time, no but it does work.
But Fuji really does need to catch up on AF-C and really needs to think about pricing, but since everything is back ordered, I guess they are riding the gravy train while they can.
I'd love to see pricing as follows (body only) as If I was having to re-buy all my equipment again, it would be hard to justify Fuji (well fuji colours are best but...)
X-T50 / X-S20 - £999
X-T5 - £1399
X-H2 - £1499
X-H2s - £1799
Giving the Panasonic S5II is only £1649, and the Canon R6 MK II is £1999, the Nikon Z6II is £1599... It really does make it hard to justify fuji right now.
Good thing I don't have to think about it
totally agree fuji's value proposition is now ridiculous and again if Fuji will keep depending on selling cameras just for aesthetics....then just matter of time and Fuji will be out of business with this harsh competition from Canon and Sony and Now Nikon joined the club
@@jlm300185 Out of business may be a slight exaggeration :) especially since instax funds fuji X and GFX development (and imaging is a small part of Fujifilm)
Having said that, If fuji want to compete with Canon, Nikon, and Sony, it has to be on performance and features as well as price.
Don't get me wrong I am a Fuji user who is happy, but, I don't have Leica money, so if Fuji moves more and more into a niche market, I'll be priced out, I don't buy every new camera either (I still use and X-T3 as well as X100 VI, as my main cameras) and I have lenses by Sigma as well as Fuji.
But If a time came and I needed a complete new setup, I'd think twice about buying a complete fuji setup at the current prices.. the only thing I know is I wont ever buy a Sony, the Nikon and Canon options are appealing (not their APSC cameras)
Well spoken young man, everything what you say make the sense. I am using Fujifilm system and the autofocus is absolutely terrible.
thank you!
i'm in the eyelash / nostril camp with Fuji..... been taking my A74 with me alot more lately, the Sony is just alot more reliable with tracking stuff
ngl. Nikon has been piquing my interest as of late. especially the ZF, as a Xpro lover and simulation enjoyer. If Nikon had color simulations, it'd be a no contest, but for now it's looking like XT5 or Nikon D800 for me
@iamtongue I’ve had the XH2S previously and just recently picked up the Z63. You’re spot on with the title, Ive always said the XH2S is the perfect hybrid (if it’s was full-frame) so the Z63 was a no-brainer. Only criticism is the dynamic range is mediocre for a FF even compared to the XH2s. That said, I still love this camera and don’t think I’m going back to Fuji or Sony.
Ahh thats stoked dude. I'm sure the dynamic range has been blown out of proportion???
For my use-case I don’t think the dynamic range is a deal-breaker. It’s about a full stop less than the z6ii but only on low ISO up to 800.
Ya thats not bad, some people were writing the camera off because of the poor dynamic range, and it's like...ppl have gotten by with way less it's not a big deal haha 🤣 How's the AF been?!
AF is fast and accurate. I would say it’s on-par with Sony, definitely stickier than what I experienced with Fuji. The eye AF actually focuses on the eye and not the lashes lol.
@@rolandm8018 that's great to hear because im tired of Fujifilm's false positive. I'll be looking to moving some things around to make room for a nikon body in the future.
I will say that the ZF i have is the best autofocus I have ever used personally. Now, I don't typically use the subject/eye autofocus detection. I still like to move my focus point around myself, focus recompose, and the 3d tracking is all incredible. I never had a terrible experience with fujifilm autofocus, but I do think that the ZF is better.
I own the Sony A7RV, Nikon ZF, and Nikon Z8. Sony's autofocus is superior-you can truly feel and see the difference on the screen. However, if you've never used the Sony system, ignorance can be bliss. The Nikon's autofocus is definitely capable.
Thank you!
Fuji promised an update on the firmware by the end of June, let’s hope they at least get it back to where it was! 🫣
I like Nikon... but not the ZF here. People do seem to compare the X-T5 more with the ZF, but..... ZF is a TANK. I don't know if people realise the real size of that monument!
You don’t have the Zf. How do you know it’s a TANK? Are you contradicting yourself?
I have both. Tbh everything depends which lense you use. Zf is slightly bigger but also feels more solid and well built. Lenses is deal breaker. Apart from 40f2 SE and 28f2.8 SE all other nikon lenses are built for z6/z8 type of ergonomics - bulky, electronic, fresh.. It makes you think zf is one time experiment camera from nikon 🤷♂️
@@MrElthanYes. That’s why I didn’t buy the Zf high and choose Sony system instead. There’re plenty of choices for compact lenses in Sony’s, both full frame and aps-c. I don’t think the Z6iii AF is as reliable as the R6ii or a7iv. Time will tell.
@withoutpassid why contradicting? How do you know I don't have a ZF? Yes.. a TANK! It looks good, but it's a big camera. You know what I mean when you have one at hand.

So weird this AF thing. I shoot with the old Z6 professionally only people, really nothing else and AF is really one thing which always works. With a 1000 picture shoot, I might have 2 files which are out of focus. I shoot really a lot, a couple of thousand photos each week with nothing else than people. Were it gets spicy is, with really heavy tattooed people with tattooed faces on their body, the Z6 sometimes picking the tattooed face. I never heard from someone else who is shooting this stuff and this person's experience. I also shoot 99% of the time with flashes, outdoor and indoor, mixing with available light. Something also nearly no one who is doing these YT reviews seams of doing. Why, because TTL is still a totally awful disaster. When I shoot outdoors, it is totally normal that my ambient light changes 6 stops in seconds, because of clouds or just by moving 2 meters. This is something that really makes my brain work, not the af.
With normal-looking people in front of my camera, which I also shoot a lot for magazines, AF really just works. On a Z6, not on a more fancy Z8 or something.

But less good dynamic range by the sound of it.
I wish the world could come together and boycott Fuji for 6 months; not buying a single new product of theirs until they get their priorities right and fix their Autofocus. Though maybe it's a hardware issue...
I saw a Reddit post about this. Basically, they argue that Fuji has previously improved or worsened AF following software updates, so it stands to reason that it’s totally fixable through software. Unless there’s a limited firmware storage space limitation that’s involved.
@@Sleepyboiwonderevery camera firmware can be fixed by coding! Every single brand!
@@josecolon8143good to know!
Brands are brands no matter what market are we talking about. Each brand has strong points and weaknesses. Once a guy with a garage loaded with super cars explained to me why he loves to drive a 911 v6 when he also owns the Ferrari or Lamborghini with powerful V8 or V12. There is no car with the versatility and everyday car, with an high tech suspension to the level of being soft on some shitty city streets or became stiff when on the highway as a Porsche. Doesn’t mean that a Lamborghini Gallardo are not better cars in other aspects or more stylish to some point. He can own all of this cars, I just can own a xpro3 😢 the point here is I stick with the film simulations, the portability some days, the tactile dials, the form factor and the list could go on so, I do forgive the shitty out of focus on Fujifilm because I do not use continuous focus even that much. Yes, like I would rather drive a V6 engine and not a V8 because I love the suspension.
Fuji just started getting money, like almost Sony money from Camera's recently. So i say give 2 years, they will catch up to at the very least Nikon.
Damn, didnt know Fuji had internal 6k60 raw?

The Nikon Z6iii is clearly Nikon's bait for bringing more people into the Z-Series - the viewfinder is better than what the Z8 got for cripes' sake. I was so excited, I priced out a full Nikon/Fuji/Canon kit (I'd never buy Sony, ever). The fact is, you are paying more - a lot more - when you contemplate the lenses and end up with a larger and heavier kit to really benefit from that extra stop of performance. In other words, any FF camera would really have to blow me away since my XT3 has been producing bangers for me all week and I love all my lenses. When you take a step back, its honestly crazy what Fuji gives you at, for the lenses I'd want right away, about 60% of the cost. But I won't lie, I am also paying attention to the Canon R5ii, since if I DID go FF I'd want 40-ish MP. Then again, GFX is also getting more and more affordable...
That said it would be very hard to leave the film sims / in camera colors because they are typically gorgeous and have been saving me a lot of time lately, since on occasion I really don't need to touch the files at all outside of some exposure/color WB tweaks. If Fuji improved the in-camera work flow and added features like straightening they'd hook me in all the more. With proper lighting and all that the XT3 produces exceptional, professional grade images.
GAS is nothing bad, I don't understand why people don't acknowledged this fact 🤪
I acknowledge this all the time LOL 😂 “there’s no reason for me to buy this gear, except for gas”
The X-H2S will be superior to the Z6iii for shooting sports. The Z6iii is limited to 20fps (vs 40 fps), and if you're a raw shooter you can't use pre-shot with the Z6iii. The latter feature is critical because all photographers are slightly late sometimes in firing a burst, and in those situations pre-shot saves the day. I hope that Nikon can fix that with a firmware update, but I suspect that if they could they would have already. It might be a hardware limitation.
Regarding AF the X-H2S performs superbly for my purposes (portrait, dance photography, and action sports). It's rare that I have a mis-focused shot for the first two categories, and the camera's tracking of soccer, volleyball, and basketball has taken my photography to a new level when combined with the high frame rate and pre-shot.
Am I right in thinking that the AF woes that you are referring to with the X-H2S are for video? I don't shoot that, so I'm not spun up on those issues. I'm with you on the brand loyalty issue, btw. I've shot a lot of different brands in my 40+ years of photography, and all systems have their strengths and weakness. I've changed systems a number of times, and it's always painfully expensive. Good luck with your GAS!
Seems we agree and neither of us shoot video. Helpful comment.😊
The problem with the Nikon/Fuji comparisons is that it is a different animal than Fujifilm. There is a filmic quality (as you know) with Fuji that nobody else has. Something with the x-trans sensors. Also the native Fuji lenses have special coatings etc... to contribute to their unique look. So I think what Nikon is doing is brilliant but I see it as a different tool for different use (generally). So I think it's a "yes and" scenario rather than an either/or.
My Z8 rivals my XHin every way so far color science and all.....just my .02!
No its not xh2s ...it doesn't gave open gate ...and it doesn't have video specific features.
No direct ssd recording via usb c like that on s5iix
Nikon's af >> sony af.
Woah 🤯
I agree! Why paying 2.5 for a Fuji when you can get Nikon for the the same price? However, the only two reliable brands with crop 35mm are Canon and Sony. But having tested both in combat zones and places of this sorts nothing beats Canon on land and Hasselblads from the sky! Know this about Nikon, their cameras love to step down their lenses one or two f’s. If you have an f1.2 go up to f2.8 (not 2) (photography wise) now for video they are great! If the lens is 2.8 hit the pars 4-8. Try that and tell me if you see a difference. Every camera has its perks, a compromise. That’s why businesses and “Professionals” (what the heck is that) are brand neutral. Because every brand distinguish itself for this or that. Crop sensors (35mm, 24mm, 18mm) are the same. Now, when you go to medium digital and large film format (full frame -8x10-yadda yadda yadda) the use and performance will be negligible. What makes them different is mostly the software used to rendering and in the case of large format the knowledge of whoever develops the film. Darn I think I went too far! 🤣😂🤣😂🤣! But yes, we use Hasselblads and Canon’s bcs Sony’s (while great cameras) cannot take the abuse of a combat environment. Me I use everything, heck I preorder the toyish K-7 just to fool around 🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂
AF on all fujis compared to any other brand on the market is just horrible
@@jlm300185 yup and it’s frustrating 🥹
I haven't found that I've shot weddings on my Fuji. And had no problems. There are some things that you need to do though which i'm not gonna go into here
On "all Fujis"? Really? Do go on and tell us more about your methodology for researching this claim and the cameras used for comparison. I'll wait.
@@matt88169 cool down buddy 😂😂😂 cool down are you paid by fuji? 😂😂 no need for that high tempo take it easy….
I’m a fuji user since 2018 and I owned XT3/4/5/30ii and XH1/2S…..i owned also Z6/6ii and both Canon R6/6ii and just owned before one sony for just three months which is the sony a74…..before that I owned various DSLRs from Canon and Nikon as I’m deeply into photography since 2005…..honestly the AF on the nikon z6/6ii is crap for every AF aspect…acquisition, tracking and hit rate everything was ridiculous….both Canons are amazing….they do miss sometimes but with consistent hit rate above 90% in most situations and by time you know exactly what you need to do to workaround those missing 10% if you want….i mean the behaviour of the AF on Canons can be expected and is very consistent…. For the sony that I owned it was very consistent also with very high hit rate but I found it to be a very boring camera, but perfect in terms of AF and when I say perfect that doesn’t mean it doesn’t miss…it means the behaviour in most is situations is consistent and expected and it is well rounded with very good usability….for ALL fujis and I MEAN it nothing is expected with that AF system, I’m sorry and I’m talking here specifically about tracking fast moving subjects…sometimes it works just fine but most of the time the hit rate is around the 50% mark and you can see more scientific videos on youtube with numbers….for the price Fuji is charging on its CROP SENSOR cameras we should expect top notch class leading AF system….with all that said i still own my XT5 and I still love the look of the camera and its files and the colors (when the photos are in focus)…..and I can’t believe that in 2024 a brand like fuji still thinks that people will keep getting its cameras for their aesthetics…..
You come on and tell us what do you shoot with and share with us you extensive experience with AF😂😂😂 stop being a FANBOY
Not even close. Nikon AF (Z6III, Z8 & ZF) is very reliable. No offense but Fuji AF is trash. You will be very happy with it.
lol none taken!
Moaning !
fuji has lost their way. I'm so done with their faulty autofocus and their constant missed promises. It's 2024 and fuji is dead last in autofocus
For most people, just use whatever they have on hand and wait for A7V😂, it will most likely kill the Z6III.
