Me too. With the windows extra tall it looks a bit confusing to find the door. But with the smaller windows in proportion to the door it looks more homey & balanced.
Good on Phillip for saving that Hedgehog from certain death.
I agree with Micheal’s request that the windows remain a bit more consistent. They will still allow a great deal of light into the apartment yet provide more privacy and furniture placement options.

I'm with Michael on the windows/doors question. It's more "in keeping" as was said, with the surrounding chateau area and carries on some lines and boundaries. The other one is too windowy and a bit repetitious - looks less like Lalande and more like a hotel or something. Just me!

I like Michael’s choice because it keeps in line with other windows on that wall and it will be easier to place furniture under windows rather than in front of windows. Also more privacy and warmth in a ground floor apartment
From the look of that slope, I think Nati is still going to have almost floor to ceiling windows though.

Michael and Nick are right. I love, that Stephanie really tries to make the most beautiful appartements, but I thought the same as M & N, that you have to consider the whole facade of the building, so you keep all the charm 🙂
I agree with Michael's assessment on the windows. The Juliette and longer-lower windows create a disconnect to the style of all the other windows, as if it was a new wing of the chateau with a different architectural style. I think it would look odd to have something very different from the rest, especially when it's in a long row of windows like that. :)
I think windows rather than three french doors will provide Naty with a little more privacy. Otherwise anyone who is walking past can look directly into her living quarters. Plus I agree with Michael that windows are more in keeping with what is already there.

Michael noticed the overall window placements on that side of the chateau, his photographer and artistic eye - harmony. Stefanie looked winsome in her pastel dress outdoors. Philip rescuing a hedgehog, he really likes woodland animals. Selma, happy birthday to a gentle soul.

Oh Yes, that is so true. Michael does have a great eye in his photography and does remarkable photos of beautiful buildings. I usually side with Stephanie as she has a great vision. But Michael came and suggestion going outside to full view. That was a wonderful meetings of the minds.

I would rename this video, King Selmar, Philip the hedgehog hero. My heart was in my throat watching Philip rescue the little guy. Philip you could have been hit, traffic did not appear to slow down. That did not stop you, my grandson was watching he was in tears I talked to him he's fine he was concerned for Philip and the animal. He has named Philip an animal hero. Shorter windows looks better when you look at the rest of the castle.
That's not the pattern of the exterior facade. Michael pointed out the windows are at the same level, the interior floor heights are what changes.

I also agree with Michael, keep the windows consistent with the other windows in the chateau. Keep the doors the same as the kitchen doors ( windows do not go all the way down to the floor). The windows all the way to the bottom look too modern, especially if you are adding Juliet balconies to the upper windows. That way the new extension with blend with the rest of the chateau.
