Yeah no kidding. I bought the 220 version and had everything set up and then the unit started spilling water and I didn't know what happened. I figured out that I didn't put the gasket thing on there, the instructions don't even tell you that you're supposed to put it on there. I had to look up how to do it on TH-cam
@@piglet601ify every month u have to clean the whole pump the cotton pad that goes in the top it says u need to replace it but u can clean it with warm water u can do that about 2 times then u will have to buy a new one. Most people want clean the pump for 90 days but then sometimes the bad Bacteria can take over so I clean mine once a month.
Yea the it does but fill up each line with water first once there filled up then hit the button to get the rest of the air out but make sure ur pump is pre filled then turn it on
Love your vids. Can not say same for 360. Have 220 running on a 40 breeder, seems to be doing quite well. Just trying to find a hobby during this shit, ya know. Setting up the 360 for a 55 and can't seem to get it primed while attached to the tank. Worked perfect in the laundry tub and lines are cut as far as I dare (2" slack). Lady on the "help" line said I needed to pump the priming button for 3-4 minutes. I realize this canister is bigger than the 220, but that seems an inordinate amount of time if you already filled the canister up. HELP!!!
Thank for replying what u have to do it hook the lines to the pump then at the top the lines going in the tank take off the black suction line and the black out flow and pre-fill the lines with water the put the black suction line back on and the out flow back on and make sure the pump is full of water and pump the red button make sure the lines are air free and it will work perfect
I picked this video out to see how to prime the filter... the directions say “to prime push button till water starts to go through hoses...” now I couldn’t push the button on mine so I search videos on setting it up (btw I already knew but I’m glad he mentioned how your supposed to add that rubber ring around to ensure it’s leak proof. Instructions doesn’t even attempt to tell you or even mention them as a part in the “parts list” not cool for ppl like who never had one/set one up (I haven’t but I was lucky enough to know) anyway I had to laugh bc 12 mins in he says like “idk what this is” talking about the button I legit clicked on this video hoping to find out why I couldn’t push mine lol 😂 I mean the exact thing I needed help figuring out how to pump and prime the water trying to see what I was doing wrong I just had to laugh
It worked fine for me if u got to keep starting it u got an air leak somewhere another words is there is air getting inside the pump and it's loosing prime

I about went crazy on priming my new canister, suck on the intake!!!!! It finally got mine working!!!

Shaking it a little bit and reputing in the intake tube helped me with micro bubbles and the noise it was making

Pull the lines off the 2 peices that go in the tank and carefully fill up the lines with water and put back together get a towel bc u may spill water

happens with me too, idk why.
Its like a rattling noise ontop of the hum of the filter
Could mean there is a small amount of air in the system
