Regarding twisting the headpin - if what you are doing works, it ain't wrong! Looks good to me. I love dangles, but never thought to use them on tabs, page edges, etc. From now on, everything I make will be festooned with dangles! :o)
Oooo, book jewelry! I love books, and making jewelry for them sounds lovely! I learned a few nifty ways to make pretties for my books, and journals! Thanks Mrs. Cog! You rock! ~Janet in Canada 💖💖
Mrs. Cog, I could watch your tutorials all day! I am trying my hand at journaling. I have millions of pieces of jewelry, beads, paper, etc and I am in desperate need to finding the proper way in putting it all together! It's a lot to learn about tabs, pockets, embellishments, ephemera, gee wizzzzzzz!
I really enjoyed watching this tutorial. I have recently started making charms for my journal, and watching you make the charms answered some questions I had. Thank you very much for sharing!
I love your book jewellry & the little moons...I tried making some little fuschias last nite (with mag light) & ended up wearing them as earrings:) have been a costume jeweller for almost 50 yrs & gave all my beads away to charity but am back into it again & get some nice glass & crystal necklaces from the oppies...will put some jewellry on my next journal... thanks for your tutorial
Thank you for sharing this, because your makes are AMAZING, and just now I am starting to do "drippings" for my first handmade junk journal. I am feeling a bit lost, so you have helped me a lot!
I believe your way is the better way as I think I have been doing it wrong since your way looks to be easier. I love the owl clips, I have never seen them until I started watching you and your journals ;) Thank you for sharing your great ideas once again.
Wow Liz, I loved your tutorial I can't tell you how often I have wondered how this procedure was done giving such eye catching results. Now you have answered so many of my questions. I really like listening to you as your voice has a very calming soft tone to it. It creates a quiet unhurried atmosphere to whatever you do. Thank you so much.
Thank you Angela. I can't tell you how much I appreciate all your lovely comments. I am quite glad you find my voice tolerable. I am hearing impaired and do not like the way my voice sounds, one of the reasons I opt for music videos. I also was a New Yorker who moved to the south, so sometimes my NY accent kicks in and I call people "yous guys" and some days its more laid back and comes out "all y'all"... very inconsistent and confusing lol. Hugs dear! :-)
I loved this video. I love the owlclips also. I bought a couple of boxes over a decade ago at a yard sale in a box of office stuff. I never knew what I would do with those until the decorative clips came into my world. TFS You have an amazing talent!!!
My first thought was how would a jump ring stay on paper with a bead attached. Then you explained lace fabric lol 😂. Never thought about a sturdy lace or file folder pieces with grommets. TFS!!
Very nice , love your journals. I was wondering if you could do a flip thru of that Van gough planner you showed , I would love to make one. Happy crafting !

Just beautiful Elizabeth. Such a variety of ideas. I’d love to see you do a tutorial on tassels and attaching them as well. 😊
I think I like the "wrong way" you do it better than what I've been doing! lol I like the idea of the eyelet on the tab. Have to try that one.
