I can’t lie, I was skeptical when I saw “image transfer” on the title. I was thinking it should be hand drawn or airbrushed. After seeing this I was completely blown away!! Absolutely 100% beautiful!! Amazing! The work you put in, sanding between the multiple coats, the colors, the silver leaf, and the way you blended the image. New subscriber here.
Wow!! I’m neither a bike guy or a painter and this is absolutely fantastic. I used to paint electric guitar bodies so I knew that end reveal was going to be popping!!! Fantastic.
Truly amazing. The talent this guy has and passion to produce quality work, his techniques are flawless. Really amazing to still see hand made stuff like this still being done.
It's amazing how all the components and detail become the final product. All those steps. You really have to be an artist. The finished job is spectacular.
Always watch these videos to the end. Novices like myself see the stages and think, that's going to look like crap, simply because I can't see the finished product in my mind. This isn't just a painter, this is an artist. Very well done!
Looks really really cool. I absolutely love the subject. It’s an incredible image. I’ve sprayed 1000’s of gallons of laquer commercialy but never had the opportunity to do something like this. Great job and thank you
Honestly you’re a genius, the videos are amazing. They’re easy to follow because your explanations are incredible. And even if you’re not trying to paint, you can just binge watch the videos they’re so good.
Dont'cha love it when the algorithms set you up right. Subscribed. Outstanding. Was a pleasure to watch. The video production/edit everything. Less talk, make it about the skill and the technique, perfect. Worth my time. This paint job is epic looking. I love it. Torch flames.... 🔥
As a Christian, I am really loving that a lot of the clients you're getting are getting a lot of Christian iconography on their tanks. Beautiful to see!
The original art work is called “The Triumph of Christ” by artist Gustave Dore from the year 1868. Which is what makes it more awesome looking at it on a modern machine using modern technology!
Wow that's a really good point. Brings a whole different facet to the art. Poignant, not just amazing. What a name too. I love that piece so much. I'm going to look for it for my shop wall.
I absolutely love this! I'm an artist myself just a God given talent that I've had since I was a kid. I've taken air brush classes several years ago but never really got into it since the classes were short and really not detailed like this. I admire your dedication because it takes a lot of time commitment and patience to be come an artist and to be really good at what you do! I've recently took up woodburning and absolutely love it! Whatever artwork you love just stay committed. Keep up the great work!
As an art teacher and a custom painter, the main issues with teaching people to use and airbrush, is the same as pin stripping or freehand lettering is muscle memory, which comes from repeat practice, I've never met an artist who even though was mentally a great artist who didn't do great work without hours and hours of prarice. Don't give up on the info you've gained, but it to practice and you'll get there.
If you want to airbrush, just to it. You don't need classes, as they can lock you in a box. You,re better off observing and gathering Tips and ideas from videos like this, and adapting them to work with your own art style.
Never painted a thing since like 1986; got a milk can I wanna pant with a decal of my favorite hubby's photo on it. Watched this video and now i have ideas but am so lost on how to even begin. But thank you for giving me the want to do it.
Awesome work. I have a suggestion for you. In the world of glass gilding you can get a mirror shine from silver/gold leaf, by smooth and high glossing the area you are going to gild. And then apply the silver/gold, not with glue. But with gelatin dissolved in hot water. Using that as your adhesive when drying, the gelatin will stretch out the silver/gold to an almost perfect mirror shine. Thought it could look cool on a tank as well. Be aware that it won't stick good as when using glue, so maybe a bunch of clear coat and a sanding could cover it nicely? You surely know that better than me. Any how, just a suggestion. Still awesome work!
I love that image. I liked and subscribed for that in itself, but was also impressed by how gifted The LORD JESUS CHRIST made you in this. That taping and the artistic game plan for how to get the look is out of this world.
I am rarely jealous of other people. But today I am jealous of 2 people. The person with the skills to create that piece of art work. And the person that now owns that piece of art work. FKN Amazing!!!
To this point, I would definitely rather hear more explanations and details about design choices or what you may need to look out for while painting or pre/post painting.
Did you not apply the decal upside down? All the ones in your store you slide the decal off the paper with paper side down towards the surface. It looks like you applied it with the adhesive side facing upwards
Yes that’s correct the smooth basecoat on the waterslide decal clings to the sanded clearcoat on the tank much better adhesion then what little tack is provided on the top side of the decal. Doing it this way traps the ink between the basecoat and the waterslide decal both methods work this one is better
@@TimeWarpCustomPaint the only thing I don't understand. If you paint the paper and then you slide the painted side to the metal. How does it attach to it? Because I assume once you paint the paper you got to wait for the paint to dry before you stick the water slide in water. So if the painted side of the paper is dry and only wet from the water. What makes it stick to the tank.
@@ProwlersPit just the water as the decal is so thin then after it's coated over the top it traps it there, the same as if you wet a piece of paper it would stick to a window
Clear waterside decal paper and a regular ink jet printer you can get the waterside paper here www.amazon.com/shop/timewarpcustompaint?ref=inf_pub_timewarpcustompaint
