    Love the QGO! Since my PC decided to go on it's period, I haven't been able to play Onward VR on Steam via Meta Link for 2 weeks. With the Quest Game Optimizer textures gain depth and the framerate is much smoother (less jitter) compared to native.

      Yeah, it really does improve so many titles! Definitely worth the price in my opinion.

    From what I remember, it's seeing things up close where you really notice the difference, but I havent installed this on my Quest 3 yet, I guess I really should. Also, that recording in 3D is a really cool feature, I didn't know about that.

    • @ObserVR-gamer

      It is more noticeable inside the headset for sure.
      I am a 3D enthusiast, so I like having the option.

      @@ObserVR-gamer Im not kidding when I say from the moment you posted this comment up until 10 Mins ago... is how long it took me to figure out how to install the Optimiser! 🤣

      Yeah, it is a bit tricky... that is why I didn't want to try to tackle it in the video.

      @@ObserVR-gamer I just played 5 games in Showdown, can notice it looks a little more brighter in the colours, and guns are clearer when held close. looks nice, glad I finally did it.

      Also, you have better control over recording settings, so don't forget to look into those options!
      Just be aware that the battery will be drained faster.

    Have you had any issues with overheating or the headset randomly restarting while running contractor showdown with this program? I have basically been using it since the alpha and today after my longest play session close to three hours my headset restarted and I got hit with the meta logo. Temp was about 50c for the battery as per OVR metrics tool

    • @ObserVR-gamer

      I haven't ran into that yet, but the battery drains faster and I have noticed it running a little warmer.

    If you need to look very close at half speed or still frames it is not a issue. No body plays in stop motion.

    • @ObserVR-gamer

      True, but viewing it on a small screen is way different than in full 360 degree VR.

      He said it's a bigger difference in the headset itself, and I saw less aliasing on my monitor + overal clearer picture, but everyone's attention to detail is different, sure,

    It would be nice if someone played with the different settings and found the sweet spot for performance/quality for Quest 2. Quest 3 seems like it has less issues, but on Quest 2 it's very difficult to deal with the distance pop-in issues (and blurry graphics when trying to snipe anyone at distance). I assume settings to 90fps, high gpu/cpu, and high ffr would give the best graphics while maintaining performance (though lowering battery life).

    • @ObserVR-gamer

      Yeah... I gave away my Quest 2 when I upgraded, so I haven't tried it, but the presets seem to work well on Quest 3.

    Very impressed with the vanilla gfx on the quest 3... play it on pcvr myself, but very glad with the combined playerbase.
    Sure, its not next gen graphics, but with we have to start somewhere with reasonable budgets. Im just happy that is hasnt been a shitshow release like so many other games....
    VR is looking good!

    • @ObserVR-gamer

      I agree!
      Quest 3 has made an affordable VR standalone headset that also does capable AR.
      PSVR2 is popping out incredible vR experiences using only the power of a console for less than half the price of a gaming pc.
      PCVR is really the format that hasn't done much in the last couple years.
      Most importantly, children are beginning to embrace vr, which really determines the future if gaming.
      The Meta PCVR version of the game (I never really know what to call it, Rift?, Oculus PCVR? Meta PCVR?) is allegedly coming, and it will be cross buy. I did buy the game on Steam VR as well, and actually have a comparison video of the Quest 3 and Steam VR version.

    The Quest's recording resolution is set separately from the render resolution you see in the headset. QGO's game settings have no effect on the recording.

    • @ObserVR-gamer

      Not true. I actually show the QGO capture settings in this video.
      Some options, such as 3d capture, are not available without QGO running.
      Though many of the sertungs are available without QGO so I can see how one might not notice the added options.
      I have 3 3D videos currently on my channel that were recorded using QGO.

    • @4thhorseman390

      You may have misunderstood what I'm saying. Yes QGO can change video recording settings (resolution, FPS, aspect, left eye, right eye, SBS) but that is seperate from QGO's render, refresh and other settings applied to games and what you're seeing INSIDE the headset. Take a look at the specs of both recorded videos in any playback app that shows that data to compare the recorded resolution. Also both the recordings you show (with and without QGO) look basically the same. I'm not trying to win an argument or anything and I do appreciate your video but thought you should know. Thanks

    • @ObserVR-gamer

      @4thhorseman390 yes, I do agree that the videos look similar. You can see a difference if you really look up close.
      Things are slightly sharper on the QGO images, but when you are only displaying it on a screen it isn't as apparent as it is when you are in the headset, which is why I slow it doen and even show stills.
      And yes, you are correct about the capture and rendrr settings being different from each other. I did misunderstand what you were saying at first.
      Thank you for the clarification, and I appreciate you supporting the channel.

      Yeah, I feel it. I don't like it either.
      I am trying to find a way to block it out, but my allergies have been really bad, and I don't really know how to filter it out, without losing the game sounds.
      It is hard to breath quietly when you have a stuffed up nose. I appreciate your honest feedback.

      @@ObserVR-gamer I totally get that, my allergies have been terrible too. The only things I can think of are an external mic with a filter or artificially filtering it later. Good luck with the channel man

    looks exactly the same lol

    • @ObserVR-gamer

      It might depending on what device you are looking at.
      If you are watching on a small cell phone screen you probably won't see the difference. On a 55 inch television the difference is noticeable, but I definitely used still frames and slow motion to give people time to actually compare.
      When it is lifesize and all around you inside the headset. It is definitely more noticeable.

      That isn't what I feel about this game, but you are definitely entitled to your opinion.
      Maybe the PSVR2 version will be more to your liking, when it comes out (I heard it is coming, I am not 100% certain).
