The cleaver is fun if you combo it with the wrap assasin so you can stack bleed damage, the wrap can also Crit. The sandman has no other use, it's one defining mechanic was stripped

Also, it's not that there's "hitbox spaghetti", the Back Scatter simply can't mini-crit past a certain range (500 Hammer Units), and presumably uses the same radius as the Backburner (90°) for determining whether it will mini-crit. I feel that the -20% accuracy penalty is enough to counter-balance the ability to deal mini-crits while behind enemies.

Hitscan weapons are lag-compensated, so as long as your target is relatively close to the game server, I'm not sure what could be the problem. Maybe some other networking issue on your end, such as packet loss? I'm don't know, I'm not a lerp expert. If someone else knows of some other quirk of hitscan hitreg that could be the culprit, please let me know, I'm very curious :)
IMO, if the Backscatter had a Airstrike like "on kill: plus 1 ammo in the ag for a max of 4 more shots" for 8 shots total would make use of the Drum like Mag and give you a reason to use both normal and Flanker sort of playstyle.

Should've used the Fan 'o War. That thing marks someone for death, making the whole point of the other two items completely useless. And even if the Sandman takes away from your health, you can at the very least still use it like the Stock Bat as a last resort Melee, something you really can't do with the Fan 'o War, so if you run out of Back Scatter bullets, you have to reaload because you're out of options. Unless there are four light classes right next to each other, all with their backs turned to you and too stupid to turn around, you are better off with stock. In literally any other scenario the backscatter, even at it's best, can only equal stock, and in most it is worse. Stock has 2 more shots, has more range due to it's tighter spread, and puts out similar damage to all angles instead of exclusively to it's back.

The problem with the backscatter isn't that it's bad. It's a completely serviceable weapon that has really good damage output if you flank and attack from behind. The only reason it's "bad" is because scouts stock is just badly designed and better than pretty much all of his primary's. Iike all of scouts primarys fulfill their niche just fine, but stock just does them all as well due to it's stupidly fast damage output and valves fear of giving any other scout weapon a full clip size
No, Scattergun is not badly designed it is the basis of every scattergun, the Stock, the Original, the true balanced. The reason why you might think Scattergun is OP(which isn't) is that it deals more consistent damage, because it is simply "balanced", like other sidegrades that deal even higher DPS which has a cost for Consistent stream of damage such as Soda Popper. And the reason why the others sucks because they aren't balanced due to bad design. Backscatter is bad, not just because it's statistically bad. It's because it forces you into a playstyle where you can absolutely do even better with any other Scatterguns. The downsides of the Backscatter counter-acts each other making it a bad weapon, the -20% forces you to be up close, but with the -2 clip size, you'll become weaker in 1v1 fights, add them both, you'll have a disadvantage in dealing consistent damage. You're just pretty much screwed if you use this weapon in most situations The upside is so niche, and the downsides counteract with everything you should be doing as a scout

Undeniably. +175 hp just to sacrifice your secondary slot and yes, the -66% slower move speed is painful along with no double jumps, you get to use the shotgun, panic attack and Family Business! Fixed bullet spread on frickin scout, and finally an unlock that doesn't have a less clip size penalty!
In my opinion, Bonk would be a better secondary for the Scouts worst loadout. Not to say that Bonk is a bad weapon, it's just the least useful. IN MY OPINION, THIS ISN'T OBJECTIVE IN ANY WAY. YOUR OPINION IS STILL VALID.
Bonk is the worst secondary for Scout, but its not the worst in this loadout. The Bonk is used for flanks, blocking, memes, surviving and sentry assist busting. See how you can flank easier with bonk, and the back scatter encourages flanks? Synergy isn't the best but its better than this loadout.

In my experience of me playing the game, getting shot at in spawn means they don’t like you load out and are mad at you for choosing a bad load out. I know this Cause’ I do it too.

Undeniably. +175 hp just to sacrifice your secondary slot and yes, the -66% slower move speed is painful along with no double jumps, you get to use the shotgun, panic attack and Family Business! Fixed bullet spread on frickin scout, and finally an unlock that doesn't have a less clip size penalty!
This isn’t the worst scout loadout. The worst scout loadout would be Baby Face’s blaster Boston Basher and the Cleaver.

In my opinion, Bonk would be a better secondary for the Scouts worst loadout. Not to say that Bonk is a bad weapon, it's just the least useful. IN MY OPINION, THIS ISN'T OBJECTIVE IN ANY WAY. YOUR OPINION IS STILL VALID.
Bonk can save you pretty damn well, you are cornered just drink the bonk and get to safety

Bonk is the worst secondary for Scout, but its not the worst in this loadout. The Bonk is used for flanks, blocking, memes, surviving and sentry assist busting. See how you can flank easier with bonk, and the back scatter encourages flanks? Synergy isn't the best but its better than this loadout.

For the longest time I thought that the backscatter shot extra bullets bullets backwards, which makes a lot of sense considering how bad people say it is

Only change that needs to happen to the backscatter is to make the mini-crit buff a normal crit buff because hen it would be actually worth the time and effort to get behind the enemy team
The only thing that isn't painful from this video is the f2p segment, but other than that I felt the pain

their is a worse build baby face blaster crit a cola candycane. The baby face and candy cane counteract the downside of being marked for death because you were dead the moment you equipped the loadout
