Sadly, most dental practitioners lack such vital information! This is very educational both for the general public and providers!

Hi! Very nice and important video. I wish all dentists were required to watch it. Couple of statements made by Cass -- who was great by the way. 1) she mentioned that the oral micro-fauna make nitric oxide. Not really true -- several genera of the oral microbiota do reduce salivary nitrate to nitrite which when swallowed is reduced to nitric oxide in the stomach -- so the oral micro-fauna are in the loop but not the whole story? 2) also the statement was made the we (humans) can't make nitric oxide on our own. Of course we know now of at least 6 pathways wherein our body, thankfully, does produce nitric oxide and the we are talking about here, i.e., dietary nitrate > intestine>blood>salivary glands>saliva nitrate>nitrite (micro-fauna)>stomach>nitric oxide is just one path. It is an important pathway though and for older people like me it is probably a VERY important one because I imagine the endothelia nitric oxide synthase in my vessels is about shot -- with me being 80 years old. 3) Very interested to learn about how long it takes oral microbiota to fully recover. I through out mouthwash only a few weeks ago and I am making lots of nitrite in my mouth -- that is good news! Nathan Bryan has shown that your tongue does start reducing at least some nitrate to nitrite about 4 days after discontinuing antiseptic mouthwash. This is an area that urgently needs some detailed research so we can make mouthwashes the don't indiscriminately kill good bugs! Watched the video on the old treadmill this morning -- it was really enjoyable and informative!

Reading through the comments…I am so happy to see so many dental professionals commenting and even looking into this…the dentist I last saw knew nothing about the microbiome and basically said there’s nothing I can do to help the periodontal disease I was suddenly suffering with…I’ve been grieving the slow loss of my teeth because I can not find any dentist or periodontal dentist that will see me as a patient and it’s been this way for over a decade….I brush and floss and do alll the recommended things the dentist says I can do and it’s gotten worse and worse…I’ve went to bed with no decay on a tooth and woke up with a large black spot on that same tooth…literally over night…I wish I had never gone back to eating carbs because that’s when it started and even if I stop now…my teeth are never going to recover…it’s a shame what the lack of knowledge has caused the world

Unfortunately, it comes to a point where we have to educate ourselves on our health. I never had a dentist bring up the oral microbiome to me (only a holistic dentist). Holistic dentists can be expensive and hard to find, unfortunately. Do a vitamin and mineral test and a microbiome test to see if you're deficient in any key vitamins and minerals that contribute to oral disease (vitamin A, D, K, and C, calcium, phosphorus, magnesium) and if you have a dysbiosis or abundance of bad bacteria in your mouth that cause oral disease (you likely have those that contribute to gum disease). Brush, tongue scrape, floss, use xylitol, take a multivitamin and mineral supplement, and a probiotic. I wish you the best. If only more dentists educated us on this, but they're limited to what they're taught in dental school and they focus on disease models instead of health models. Otherwise, their work won't be profitable.

    Great video!
You mention a 30 day protocol on resetting oral micro biome but without explaining how...a bit disappointed on that part
I eat clean organic food including a lot of healthy fats and oils, but my oral health has been hell since I went to the dentist in 2019, periods with tooth pains, bleeding gum, bad breathe blisters and sores on tongue, and then periods where it all goes away and oral health feels almost back to normal.
What I can say for sure is, when ever these issues comes back, it effects my lungs including chest pains which my intuition is telling me is bad bugs going through the bloodstream and down to my lungs and heart, but doctors and dentists are all telling me that it's all in my head, I am apparently crazy according to them.. When ever I have these periods, I am also tired, can't do my usual workout programs in the gym etc. One dentist says I have gingivitis and need to use this anti bug serum between my teeth for a month, I did it a few days and it made it worse and I started feeling it in my lungs again, så I stopped using this cream.
I brush my teeth and use gentle flossing every day as well, but my teeth stopped feeling silky soft after brushing since I went to the dentist in 2019, after that period, my teeth just feels dirty all the time, they have become really hard to clean and archive that silky soft feeling...
I also tried oil pulling for a week, did not really do anything significant for my teeth.

I am kind of confused, why do most vegans and vegetarians have poor looking teeth? I was vegan and got peridontal issues.. She mentions eating lots of vegetables, almost all vegetables today are hybrids created by man in the neolithic period of history. Why do scientists say humans began getting sick and having more diseases during farming ( neolithic) period? I've watched numerous videos on the last hunter gathers in Africa and other tribes and have never seen them eat plants or hardly any fruit. They eat lots of meat and honey with a few tubers such as yucca which was brought to them recently as they call it (Survivor foods). She mentioned eating lean meats , why are the most desired parts of the animals in these tribes the fatty parts and organs? Also why is there not a definitive scientific study done for us to see before these experts write a book for us to buy?

Love your train of thought. Dr Natasha Campbell-Mcbride talks a lot about the problems with vegetarian diets. Plants foods cleanse, animal foods feed. Our tooth/bone health are directly dependant on ensuring we are adequately nourished. (I say this as a vegetarian with dental problems!!)

Thank you for saving me from watching this. Plants are NOT human food. I went from raw vegan (nearly ruined my teeth, and health) to carnivore, and my teeth healed, along with my body. No more oxalate-loaded ruminant food for me. It's all GMO'd frankenfood anyway. Go to Yosemite, and find a broccoli floret, lol. Vegetables are man-made, and not found in nature. They are a scam to damage humans.

A few months back, I had an idea when I’d heard an old saying, an apple a day will keep the doctor away…so I thought what are they doing to the fruits that is taking away the nutrients of them fruit itself…I wonder what is different…so I googled what nutrients does an organic apple contain compared to a gmo apple…I found several studies that I was able to read all the data they had discovered from analyzing north…turns out that gmo apples contain at least 250 less strains of bacteria then an organic apple and when we consume an apple we need to be consuming the entire apple including the cores…the apple cores contain very essential bacteria found in the microbiome…my conclusion is that they’re intentionally modifying the plants to not contain the essential bacteria our bodies need…so when buying an apple..if intended for health…gmo apples have minimal health benefits and are full of useless nutrients …it will make the body sick without the right bacteria …apple seeds contain arsenic I’m sure u have heard that right? Well, they contain B17 vitamins that we are deficient in …and people will refuse to eat the seeds because of that info they put out….the fda usda and most scientific studies done in the US are in reality lying to use…if they say it’s ok for human consumption…avoid it…Mexico is banning all gmo products and the US gov are trying to bully them about it…the only countries left consuming the gmo is the US and the EU countries…no one wants the poison so they’re dumping the crap on us

It's because you are eating to many greens. To much of any bacteria can be a problem. Have you ever heared of everything in moderation? Balence is the key. Also, ingredients that are made chemically in a lab your imune system treats as foreign objects. This causes inflammation which can lead to autoimmune diseases, cancer or other issues. If your imune system reacts negatively to chemical ingredients in food imagine how your microbes would react when those foreign chemicals are introduced to your mouth.

Can Sauerkraut help in the oral microbiome? Natto? Fermented fish?

    • @w8what575
      @w8what575 2 ปีที่แล้ว

Speaking from experience yes …fermented foods are the best thing to feed the good bacteria and when that’s in a healthy balance ur dental health will improve even without brushing….it’s actually showing in real studies that brushing might be causing more problems then good….soft bristle brushes are the best to use and throw out the mouth wash..I destroys the microbiome…use purified warm water and baking soda as a mouth wash …it helps preserve the hood bacteria and also kills all parasites by drying them out and dissolving them….and they’re a huge culprit when there’s pain and decay

I had a mouth DNA test which came back that I have pathogens that can lead to dementia, diabetes, cancer, etc. I have periodontitis, and dental implants that have failed after 10 years! Since I got the DNA test, I decided to gargle wit 50/50 hydrogen peroxide and water to kill the bacterial pathogen. All these, inspire of brushing and flossing religiously, going to the dentist 2 x a year!
I know that by using hydrogen peroxide it will kill also the good bacteria, so I am chewing on apples, taking vitamin C, D3 withk2m7, bone broth and building up my gut biome and oral biome. My thinking is that if I kill all bacteria, good and bad, I have to put back the good bacteria by eating pre and probiotic? Am I doing it right? Thanks!
