    Amazon didn't have Denso for my 2000 V6 Camry, they have NGK (Japan) which is around $20 less than a Toyota discount dealer. The problem is Amazon have a few sellers with fake parts and I don't think they are doing much about it other than getting a refund. In fact, I posted a negative review about the fake seller in my review then my post was taken down as not in accordance with Amazon.

      I assume all Amazon and ebay "deals" are too good to be true. I would rather take my chances on a junkyard OEM coil.

    I installed some ebay coil on plugs on my 2003 Honda about 3 years ago. The life duration on the coil listed on the ebay listing was 50 to 62k miles. I got about 70k miles on those coil before getting misfire codes. So i got my moneys worth.

    Facts go with OEM on parts like this! Otherwise it's like rolling Dice...

    You got the coil numbers wrong. Standing at the front of the car and facing the cabin, , 1 is the far left firewall coil (on passenger side), 3 in the middle next to firewall, and 5 to the far right next to firewall. The ones next to the radiator are from left to right (facing the cabin) 2,4,6. In other words, the vvt solenoids are closest to coil 5 and 6) and both vvts are on the right hand side by the air filter. That should be a lot of redundant explanation.

    I drive a 1996 Avalon with the original coils and wires. I would go to the junkyard for an ignition coil if I needed one. I've had good luck with junkyard parts. You can get OEM and using the tests in the Toyota factory manual you can test the parts to see if they are good or not.

      This. I bought Toyota branded Denso at the JY for my 4Runner. They were so cheap that I bought four of them from a Scion.

    Sadly, with Amazon,EBay and places like this, it is seriously packed with fake parts. This includes fake printed names and part numbers. So what are you really paying for and how would anyone really know what they are buying unless you stopped at the manufacturer to pick it up.

      I got a fake Denso ignition coil from RockAuto , I purchased 3 Denso from Autozone and couldn’t find the 4th anywhere and resorted to RockAuto for 1/3 of the price , obviously it was to hood to be true and it was a fake. Car was still misfiring until I purchased the 4th Denso from Autozone.

      It is, over 130K miles on the OEM Denso coils and still going. NKG also Japan, high quality. Also 130K miles on NGK OEM Camry spark plugs, will be replacing with another set of NGKs.

    Did you have to pull the intake manifold? Is this a 3.3 liter engine? Some videos show that you have to remove the intake.

      @RickTroutner  ปีที่แล้ว

      It's the 3.0 I was able to do it without taking off the manifold it is tight and it's different if its the RX or a model where it's hidden under the cowl. You can see me do it here th-cam.com/video/LHBdTY5kJIo/w-d-xo.html

      @@adamr8628 Its really if you can fit the socket in there and pull it out. Does the 330 have the plastic manifold? That one seems to take up more room but I'm not sure. The manifold isn't hard to take off it's more the extra expense of having to replace the gaskets. If you can pull the coils out you should be able to pull the plugs.

      @@RickTroutner Yes, I thought it at least looked like it has a plastic outer surface. The amount of work isn't the main thing to me, I'm sure it's not that hard. What bothers me is breaking open seals on the engine because that I always has a potential to go wrong in the future and leak, etc. And not sure if there would be fluids to drain out too.
