Not terribly surprised. Adding the hardener to any of the JD paint line seems to really make it lay out and gloss up. Thanks for the video. Does a good job showing the difference.

I work for PPG. Adding a Hardner to an acrylic enamel will always increase the gloss..

How to achieve dull paint, don't use hardener, thin it with benzin! How to achieve fast flash and glossy finish, use hardener and thin with gun wash (cellulose thinners)

How’s it held up over the years? Much chips or fading?
I think it looks great. Well done man.

Hey, great video. If you are still around, what brand is blitz black and what thinner and hardener did you use? Also, is the hardener making the paint tough and fuel resistant? I want to paint my dually like that. Thanks a lot.

I'm not a painter, just wondering, does the paint dry without the hardener, just takes longer? I wonder if it's just 1k (air dried-softer) without the hardener vs 2k.

Where did you get blitz black? Is that a color of paint or a brand like john deere?

Does paint harder help cure the paint and make hard?

The hardener/catalyst does 3 things...it makes the paint dry faster, it makes the paint shine more (glossy) and some hardeners/catalysts have the UV protection in them, as just the raw paint (like Rust Oleum) does not. Oh, 4 things...and it makes the paint stronger...less prone to chipping, scratches etc. and makes the paint easier/safer to wetsand/buff...so 5 things lol. It is well worth the $$$

    nice video.
i have a question the internet doesn't seem to be able to answer:
can anyone tell me if i can use hardener only as a clear coat on top? not even talking about plastidip just normal paint.
why mix hardener with clear paint, when the hardener is clear itself and hardens by reacing with air (as i understood it)
so again: can i put a protection coat on top that consists of only hardener and nothing else?

skaterfugater hardener is just a catalyst. It won't harden like you're thinking, on its own
