To add to the question about how far you need to space truck plants, you can actually route your trucks inside that zone but when you go to make your routes, you have to make sure you delete the yellow pause nodes on the stations you don't want to unload at. It's a pain, but if you want your stations close to each other or your trucks passing under multiple stations for aesthetic reasons you can.
2:56:01 Smart splitter at the end of the constructors and with overflow into a sink or maybe another constructer that takes the overflow to make something(plates in this case). But the machines is getting backed up from the start so they won't be a gap until they are empty
Have you thought of adding a regular storage to the output of your production lines, and then have the dimensional depot take from the output of that? It will let you build up a bigger supply of all the things you’re building
Yeah so storage box into Depot? Yeah I probably should! I'm a stickler for a clean consumption line, so that would mean every time I take stuff out of the depot, the awesome sink attached on the other side would turn on... i need to think of a way to mitigate that. I suppose the extreme would be putting all awesome sinks on a different power network :P

@@WhatDarrenPlays A variable power network would be a good excuse for geothermal generators to be added as well, and that network would be great for preventing brown-outs in your main network (IE, running your extraction machines on an isolated power grid so even if the main grid's breaker gets thrown, it won't stop the extractors or other key infrastructure, allowing your power system to turn back on without problem).

@1:50:00 again you miss the point that trains have 2 inputs to make up for pause and people try to tell you in chat and you sadly miss each time, such bad luck LOL if you have a 1200belt feed into industrial storage, then that storage feeds into train station with 2 belts @ 1200 it means that so long as the train station isn't too far away that depot will transfer at the consistant 1200/min
I've been watching all of the streams on a 2nd screen for the past week, having a lot of fun seeing everything new after not having played satisfactory myself since update 5 or 6 i think. Also this might just be on my end, but the link to your citybuilder channel in the description sends me to a 404 error. I was able to find it by just searching for the name myself tho
480/m isn't max Belt Speed though Darren, Tier 5 belts are 780/m so you can load a buffer with 480/m belts from the miner and unload buffer to train at 780/m probably tier 6 are even faster...
@@WhatDarrenPlays Fair enough, but at some point the trucks cannot move enough material (1200/m with tier 6) so the depot gets backed up. I think the truck comes into it's own on low production volumes from single nodes, once you have big volume then the trains become a better viability option. Otherwise you're just using too much fuel.
@@TheGalifrey Yeah generally trucks are for local deliveries, short distances - but if the depot gets backed up it's either too long route or needs an extra truck. As for fuel I'm not sure. Fuel is power. 40/min fuel powers what? 2 full trains? A truck can run much longer than a minute on 40 fuel. 15? 20? Whatever that is, that's how many more trucks you can have for the price of the trains.
@@rauminen4167 Well the trains run on Electricity and I have 690GW of electricity so worrying about the logistics of moving packaged fuel is annoying. I am using batteries for drones and I need 1 drone port at every factory just to keep the battery stocks up haha
@@TheGalifrey Yeah when you have nuclear and drones it's probably not the time to start introducing trucks, but there are a lot of natural "roads" on the map I used earlier game - trains would go on skybridges anyway. Which connect hubs of either factories of some intermediate product and/or serving as a delivery endpoint for multiple truck routes.

Thing is you're reaching the point where you're getting too many viewers to respond to every single chat message. It's very hard not to, I get it. But it will cap your views. People tune in to watch you play, they don't tune in to watch you stop and chat for 15 minutes after playing for 5 and even then getting distracted. Of course it's somewhat self-regulating because then you'll have fewer people, fewer messages, more people tune in, then it starts over. You can increase this "belt speed" if you optimize for certain chats, scan quick and choose carefully, respond to members only, or whatever you think it's best.
