I give it a 9! The action, animation, and detail were great overall, and I really appreciated the homages of Frieza/Goku and Vegeta/Goku at the end! I think it would have been cool if Beerus would have actually gotten up and congratulated them, but I guess there wasn't enough time to put that in.
9.5 hard to find a fault. You look at this ending compared to the last 2 episodes of Z and they killed it with this one. Animation was great, surprise to see 17 win it all. Vegetas face when Goku and Frieza worked together. The throw back to Goku and Vegtas first fight. It was a great ending to what has been an awesome series. Goku Black and this Saga are 2 of the best in dragonball history.

I loved that ending! The homage to when Goku and Vegeta first fought! Their fighting stance and everything...dude that was amazing homage to the past. I thought I was the only one that peeped that.
I'm not gonna lie, I know most people consider 17 the MVP but for real, Frieza had so many amazing moments in the tournament it just had me loving his character. The way he did people mad dirty, get his ass whooped, but still be cocky as hell afterwards and fighting alongside Goku was beyond amazing.

Now that Goku can't utilize UI for the time being, they're back in the same spot again ( the argument could be made Vegeta is currently stronger, given he still has his new form). They'll more than likely continue to be on the same page from here on out--their rivalry isn't important to the plot, and hasn't been for quite some time.

Goku let himself be beat up by Black for 20 episodes before finally busting out the Kaio-Ken against Fusion Zamasu near the end of the arc. UI will likely be the same way where they just fool around with Blue for 90% of the arc and then use UI at the end to win.
I think it was Canon on Vegeta part of his new form plus just imagine how strong these two are after that tournament cause they kept breaking they limits Goku may not have UI permanently but shit his new limits with SSJ BLUE King Kia fist is still at another than it was when he first used it
The emotional moments were when Toppo went to motivate Jiren. I felt like he was being Goku to Gohan. And Jiren stood for the first time not for his wish or himself but for his friends and the trust they showed on him and the resulting increase in power. Also, I enjoyed after they were revived. Jirens swear to Son Goku that He will be seeing him soon and the next time he will win. I loved it! I also loved how Goku came forward to appreciate jirens help in breaking his own limits and that he wish to see him again. Epic moments.
You guys are experiencing exactly what me and my friends were going thru way back in 1999 when the frieza saga was finishing up its original premiere on TV in the states. We would watch dragonball z and get all hyped up from the battles on Namek and Goku going super saiyan and then play mario kart or super smash on N64
It makes the end of super that much more heart wrenching when zen asks Goku if he will come back, because zeno is a representation of us, the viewer, wondering if we will get more
akira toriyama is a genius...if you read/watched all of dragonball you would know this...a lot like one piece if you turn off biased logic and just learn to enjoy it the series is perfect on every level..sure theres always asspulls characters you wish did more or developed but this world is built around goku and his way of living and how everyone else fits around that..hes the core of his own show...if it took until the end of the series to realize this then I suggest watching it from the start to the end of super and then rewatching the end of z afterwards since it takes place after and is still cnaon.cause it really is one big maze and adventure...it never really stops

Somebody said that the whole thing wasn't for nothing because a while back it was mentioned that Zeno was getting tired of mortals anyways and eluded to erasing all and starting over. This tournament, Goku and friends gave them more faith in mortals as well, the wish was for all the universes that were erased... the regular and namek dragon balls can only do but so much time backwards if something was once destroyed but the super dragon balls have no limits so maybe the other universes that were previously erased might be back too, which could be what the movie or next season could be about when it comes back. Just wanted to share that...

Doing a rerun marathon of all my favorite reactions and episodes of the series in honor of the the great one, R.I.P., and i guess im just too new to the channel, because i had only seen like 4 episodes of yalls. Perfect, now i have an excuse for another run through 😂
For the ending, a lot of people working on DBS said "don't change the channel until after the end credits!" This was referring to the Japanese broadcast that included the 30 second teaser for the new movie that a lot of people already saw. Crunchyroll and a lot of similar 3rd party sites actually didn't include this in the end credits, so that's why you guys saw the original end credits. So it wasn't much of a surprise, just something extra. It was a lot of people on Twitter that misinterpreted the tweets as it being a new trailer for the movie or something like that lol.
The way they refer back to the old Dragon Ball Z by making Frieza at his old final form and Goku as the original first form super saiyan (a nod to how it all really began).
Golden Mars in the kid Buu saga after everyone was wished back on Earth who where killed by kid buu and u see all of the people who were wished back give energy to goku for a spirit bomb and u see Android 8 which was killed and he was all mechanical
So many references in this episode, Goku and Vegeta sparring where they fight fought using the EXACT same stances as their first fight, Frieza with his bomber move (it’s the level 3 in FighterZ) which he used back on Namek against Goku, the ending of the struggle against Jiren as Frieza dropped from gold and went to his bulky full power form, while goku flickered in and out of super Saiyan. Matching their first encounter on Namek, Goku trying to kickstart his engine and Frieza going at full power. Fighting perfectly as a pair, even better than Goku could EVER manage with Vegeta. Goku and Frieza have fought to the death enough that they truly understand what the other is thinking as they fight. Able to predict each other to perfectly sync with each other.
ULTRA INSTINCT XAYAH. Yeah man if u go back to the end with goku and vegeta the secret is they are telling us the until the next time their is some strong to fight they will be ready but for now they are taking a short brake but they will be a new db series probably next year

What a ending!! The well deserved MVP and one of my new favorite characters getting exactly what he deserved. Enemies putting things aside and working together for one common goal. The way it should be. Then after achieving that goal together, they still show love for the people that they were fighting their very lives for. Followed by everything working out for everyone and not just one particular group of people even when that wasn't fate's plan to begin with. Love. Friends. Trust. For the ending, a lot of people working on DBS said "don't change the channel until after the end credits!" This was referring to the Japanese broadcast that included the 30 second teaser for the new movie that a lot of people already saw. Crunchyroll and a lot of similar 3rd party sites actually didn't include this in the end credits, so that's why you guys saw the original end credits. So it wasn't much of a surprise, just something extra. It was a lot of people on Twitter that misinterpreted the tweets as it being a new trailer for the movie or something like that lol.

So many references in this episode, Goku and Vegeta sparring where they fight fought using the EXACT same stances as their first fight, Frieza with his bomber move (it’s the level 3 in FighterZ) which he used back on Namek against Goku, the ending of the struggle against Jiren as Frieza dropped from gold and went to his bulky full power form, while goku flickered in and out of super Saiyan. Matching their first encounter on Namek, Goku trying to kickstart his engine and Frieza going at full power. Fighting perfectly as a pair, even better than Goku could EVER manage with Vegeta. Goku and Frieza have fought to the death enough that they truly understand what the other is thinking as they fight. Able to predict each other to perfectly sync with each other.

What a ending!! The well deserved MVP and one of my new favorite characters getting exactly what he deserved. Enemies putting things aside and working together for one common goal. The way it should be. Then after achieving that goal together, they still show love for the people that they were fighting their very lives for.
