I would choose the Jag because it is just so aggressive and more luxurious. And it's less expensive. Also that guy reviewing the rs7 was annoying.

I've loved Jaguar from a boy! At age 55 I got my first an XF-S. It's beautiful! I know which is the faster car but I also know which is more fun to drive!

For the extra 30 grand you would save buying the Jaguar you can buy an a3 and have your Jag. Sounds like a good deal to me.
The jag is a real drivers car. Looks better, handles better and sounds better.
This felt like watching 2 typical hosts at a high school concert band performance w their cold jokes and stiff acting. Also, Jag all the way.

i think if i was buying a car to entertain myself, be luxurious, and very sporty the Jaguar XFR-S is the clear winner just by the styling. yes i know the RS7 is faster and beats GTR's, F-Type's, and 911's but the Jaguar just looks and sounds so much more aggressive.

I would take the Jaguar over the Audi any day. Audis are way too common, and the XF has always been the one mid-size luxury sedan where every time I see one, I want to give it a second look.

Absolutely nothing against the guy with the lisp, he's a fine reviewer. But give him a job just doing the written reviews or something. Its just way too distracting and makes him hard to take serious. Again nothing against him, but yeah.

Trying to compare an Audi with a Jaguar is like comparing crappy German techno music with soul or classical, they arent designed to appeal to the same people.
Germans, like the Japanese, have no concept of soul or character.. Both countries yearn to understand & replicate it, but ultimately their overriding desire for figures & clinical efficiency, always stops them dead in their tracks, it like trying to explain the concept of love to a robot.

As for Japanese cars, yes, they are reliable for the most part, but as for driver involvement & styling they are all seriously lacking. They are made to be easy to use, by people who dont care about cars & just want a means to travel as easily & cheaply as possible.. Ask yourself why European cars are so much more coveted by car enthusiasts in Japan than their own cars.

We arent going to agree, I`ve owned 100`s of cars & driven 100`s more, including Japanese & German, There are no cars from either nation of these nations I want personally.
Funny enough I raced a custom S2000 in my virtulally standard 99 Jag XJR about 18 months ago, we pulled away from some lights & he was obviously going for it. I just sat behind him following his every more, teasing him, watching him pull more & more daring moves.. Eventually I overtook him on a long straight to show him what power was & then slowed to let him overtake me again. He calmed down after that.. He flashed his hazards & held his hand up out the window as he pulled off the road we were travelling on, as he knew I could have pulverised him quite easily. Possibly while drinking tea & eating scones (well, coffee & croissants, as I dont like tea or scones).
And by the way, you are talking out of your arse.. The Jag XJR`s were matching M5`s performance figures in the early to mid 90`s, long before the XFR, but in a nicer, better equipped, more reliable way..
There were also several companies, like Lynx & Turbo Technics, offering twin turbo straight 6 Jaguars & V12 back to the mid to late 80`s that absolutely pulverised anything Germany could offer, including XJS`s that were pumping out 5-700bhp, doing 60 in under 4 seconds & some, depending on gearing, breaching the 200mph mark, but I dont expect you to know anything about them as I can see your knowledge is limited.
And what do costs have to do with anything? A new XJR (60 in 3.8 seconds) is around $125,000 compared to the Audi S8 (60 in 3.9) @ $ 115,000.. There are no Japanese large saloons I can think of anywhere near as fast, & even the AMG Merc C63 isnt as fast despite costing significantly more.. The M5 & Audi is cheaper than the XJR, so by your logic the M5 is cheap junk, or contradicts your argument..
I`m sure Lexus are more popular in America, especially in Florida witht he over 50`s who have no interest in driving at more than 25mph...
As for Jags not being Astons or Bentleys, as a qualified mechanic, I can tell you they are all virtually identical under the skin, in fact some (DB7`s & Vantages) have shared engines, so just because the Jags are cheaper & more common doesnt make them any less accomplished from a drivers perspective.
But hey, you know more than me, with your S2000..
I also suggest you check the performance figures of AMG`s, & also note the prices of them, which are generally $30-60,000 more than the XFR & XJR.. Its quite easy to make XF or J R`s go fasted for less than half of that price difference..
And as for the "made by Tata Motors" comment, thats the kind of bitchy, ignorant comment I`m used to hearing from haters who have run out of genuine arguments, so I`m not even gonna bother correcting you.. I`ll leave you to enjoy your lack of knowledge in of your tiny blinkered world.

if you pause at 6:47 i think the vents look old compared to the out of place screen above it. its a badass car but the dashboard bit behind the steering wheel (im bad at english im trying to explain what im talking about :P) looks plain instead of sportive, heck even my dads 2014 nissan qashqai gages look better and more sportive in my opinion.
I own a 2010 XFR....Such an amazing ride. Just a couple small upgrades and a tune, it is pushing 590 to the crank approx 500 whp on the dyno. Plenty of power!!!! Jag baby!!!

my xfr has adaptive cruise control...
So does my XF-5.0-SC, for those that don't know it follows the car in front essentially (braking and accelerating) and this is a 2011 model. Loving my XF still great in 2019 running very strong.

The XFR-S fastest stock times I’ve seen are actually 3.8-4 seconds and 11.9 1/4mile… heck the XFR does 0-60 in 4.2-4.4 and for the RS7 I’ve seen 3.5 and 11.4 1/4 mile times…

I’ve owned Jags and Audi… I’m still partial to Jaguar but love an Audi too. Give me the XFR-S with a $699 tune for an additional 75HP. Minus the wing🤔 I’ll keep the $3K…

Agreed, as well as those wheels. I would opt out the wingy and immediatly replace the wheels with propper ones. Still love the Jag anyway though.

$30,000 premium for the Audi over the Jag? Also the Chassis is not the same one as the Fords Mondeo X-Type. But, I'll excuse the research blip, for bringing us such a great review.
I fucking love the current Jaguars. They look, sound, and perform amazingly! I'd definitely take the XFR-S over the RS7, even if it's a little slower.

Motortrend got the RS7 to hit 60 MPH in 3.2 seconds, and the 1320 Ft. in 11.4 secs at 120-something MPH... So it's capable of much more then what this video demonstrates, considering the the test car MotorTrend used was an older model with less HP and less torque.
As usual with these cars it’s emotion or rational performance- jag, like Alfa has the capacity to pull on the heart strings, in a way that audis never do.

The 4.0TT engine in the RS7 has not aged well. Those hot V turbos regularly grenade even with proper maintenance, some as low as 40k miles, and can take the engine with them if you’re unlucky. There’s a reason Audi switched to the Porsche V8 after only 5 or 6 years.
The spoiler in the Jag looks horrible in my opinion, better to save those 3K lol

Audi ( most german cars ) are quite characterless. Very competent but bland. Ive had BMW, Audi etc now have a normal XF-S. Drives beautifully and only car i always look back at when Im walking away. I liked my German cars but love my Jag.

At the end of the day, the RS7 is the more practical vehicle to take on road trips when faced with inclement weather, like rain, snow, ice. You can push it harder on public windy roads on any weather than you can ever with that Jaguar.
Jaguar is more fun to drive like a BMW M5. Audi give better handling which is better for lap times.

Still rather have a corvette z06 for $89,900. Say what you want about GM cars and American cars and general but I don't care. Both of these cars are great but I just rather have the zo6 because it has more horsepower than both of these cars and looks better in my opinion.

The new facelift 2015 Audi S7 will do 0-62mph in 4.3 sec which means 0-60mph 4.1sec And thats still faster than this Jag. I think Jag need to improve their 0-60mph keeping in mind that cars like M4,M3,C63 now do 0-62mph in 4.2 sec. So to me comparing RS7 to this XFR-S is a joke
Light weight but still weighs more than the jag. Modern engine but barely has more hp or torque 😂 also the jag just looks way better
