I think Joel will be dead, but he will be like a ghost teacher to Ellie, like Kratos and athenea or booker and Elizabeth.

Ik this is 2 years but the dude was rarely shown in the trailers, it was pretty obvious something happened to him. When I first saw the trailers, there were no indication that Joel being alive, besides him being shown here and there.

With the enemies using whistling as communication, I wonder now Ellie can whistle, she will use it to distract them..... Or freak them out with her UFO whistle impression 😂

Am I the only one who thought Ellie looked different? I get that she’s older but the trailer with her playing the guitar and this make her character model look different.

I know it's only 1 year but Ellie is 18 in the kiss scene and 19 in the guitar scene. Plus she's got blood all over her. But i do notice subtle changes

I think that last guy Ellie kills says Joel is the sacrificed lamb. Sounds like some sort of cult has formed or religious group from the sounds of it
Omg wait wow. I’ve seen this trailer at least twenty or more times now (literally) and it just clicked inside my brain that the mumbled words before she slices his head off is him doing a prayer. I could be wrong of course but coming from a religious background I’m used to hearing my parents mumble things like this if they lose control of a car or fall very ill etc. it also aligns with the religious poster she sees on the outside in the beginning. Neil said he was really going to humanize these enemies. He said each enemy now has a name, which is why we can hear them calling each other when they get hurt. And he also said they spent a lot of time developing each enemy Group’s background in the city of Seattle. Amazing

I'm willing to bet that the silencers you see in the crafting menu have durability as well - after enough shots, they stop being effective.

Maybe R1 is for shooting, but if you have an arrow in your shoulder you cannot use R1 for shooting until you have used R1 to pull it out? We'll have to wait and see though

4 months late but by default l2 and r2 are to aim and fire. This was a change made to the remaster. You can change it to r1 and l1 in the menu.
Just noticed Ellie's knife isn't the same because this one folds rather than sliding in and out of the handle like her old switchblade
Mr. Krispies and it looks like it breaks just like any other knife/shiv. Which makes sense since she’ll be the one played the most (if not the whole time) so that advantage of the indestructible knife wouldn’t be realistic
@@theforeverfalling Actually, it would be realistic but overpowered for gameplay at the same time.
Just Watch I mean there’s nothing realistic about an indestructible knife though. At least not a flimsy little switchblade that’s forced through skin, muscle, fat, tendons, and occasionally bone. Maybe a larger sword would hold up, hell even a sturdy kitchen knife. As frustrating as it was sometimes to have to conserve everything, including shiv use, it added more excitement. I wouldn’t want to lose that (and the boost of morale you got for getting through difficult situations with so little at your disposal) for the sake of an unrealistic convenience.

Flashing hud means you’ve been spotted, constant circle means they know your close and are looking for you
An interesting detail is the way the flashing hud resembles a heartbeat. I don't know if it changes depending on your health or how much running you've done but they DID mention some kind of heartbeat mechanic so it could be related to that

Yeah, neil confirmed that she's gay a few years back. And idk how much you know about young kids (more specifically girls) but they don't typically.... kiss each other. Also, if Ellie had kissed a boy, would you have assumed they were just friends? Just some food for thought
