Waited years for this... and no matter how much hate the game has, nor how much hate I get for saying this. But I love the game. I can definitely agree it’s maybe not the best sequel but it’s a great game.

I love the game but damn at 7:38 they talk about the horse and boat like you'd use them multiple times even though those scenes only happen once lol. Also I don't remember seeing the area at 7:08 at all
You will ride a horse four times in total I think, first being Joel, second being Ellie in Jackson, third Ellie in Seattle, and fourth Abby on the island. But yes boat is just one time thing. The area at 7:08 is exact that open area when Ellie and Dina first arrived in Seattle. It's on your right when you first reach that area.
@@KoKoYoung Yea true. I guess I mean has far as exploration goes. Neil says Ellie will cover some of these expansive terrains on horseback, but that area is the only expansive terrain you use the horse for, the rest are just linear sections. Idk maybe I'm nitpicking a bit, I just wish there were more areas like that open-worldish section. I didn't know about that one area though at 7:08 lol thanks

The outrage of killing Alice and dogs in general in video games I’ve never understood. Where was the outrage for games like modern warfare and resident evil amongst other games you’ve had to kill dogs.
Yea it boils my piss too! First its a freakin game ffs and secondly IDK how many animal lovers would soon drop that notion when a big bad assed dog is trying to tear your throat out. Man, its a cruel world out there and TLoU is even crueler, think in this world my last worry would be taking the life of an animal that's trying to tear me up! People need to chill it's not like we as players enter a bunny farm at the stadium and have to massacre them. And where is the outrage at beating stabbing clubbing shooting human guards who are just trying to survive this nightmare- guess human lives don't matter huh! Hypocrites!

You wanna know why there was no outrage? 'Cuz The dog kills looked completely robotic and unrealistic in those games. (Not to mention that RE dogs are zombie-like. It's not the same as being forced to kill a normal dog.) TLOU2 approached these things with such lifelike realism and detail. It's not something that would make me boycott the game, but when you take a more realistic direction, it makes things like that more difficult to watch.

@@omas1178 there are no real 'lies' in this video as far as I'm aware but some of the things that are said can be a little misleading. Like how they said the scars are known for being stealthy, that implies that they sneak up on you during gameplay but theyre exactly like all the other enemies. Or how they said that they introduced new types of infected. The only new type is the shamblers because the rat king is a one time boss fight that is piss easy.
@@CHEESEpuff69 even if any of that was in the vid none of it was lies . The stealth of the scars comes from the whistles they use. And adding a new type of infected plus a boss enemy infected does count as new infected. That is not a "lie"

Naughty Dog... Makes demos that look this awesome, and wouldn’t you know it? The game plays just as awesomely. Unlike some fucking studios. At least at Naughty Dog, the crunch actually yields a good product.
@Shree Kaushik it’s a very complicated issue. Frankly unless you’re an actual insider, it’s difficult to understand much of anything. Some people have clearly adapted to it, even those with families. Ultimately they’re free to have whatever work ethic they like, but measures are supposedly being taken to if not eliminate crunch, make work more efficient and for employees to be more comfortable. It shouldn’t be a thing, but it is and I have a problem with people who white knight for ND’s employees just because they don’t like TLOU2, when clearly they didn’t give two shits about the crunch when Naughty Dog were in the PS3 era, nor do they care when studios they like do it. Most people who complain about the crunch are hypocrites.
@Shree Kaushik if they don't crunch, the game would take a lot more time to release, sadly big game studios cannot stand so many years without a new product in the market
Haha. Go back and watch the extended demo for TLOU that was showcased at E3 2012. The final game ended up being watered down. The AI in particular. I still love TLOU, but that was a tad disappointing. Precisely why I'm kinda glad it's getting a remake. It needs the mechanics from its sequel if not even better.
Just for everyone who doesn't know, the chick Ellie stabs after swimming is playing a Vita, and the game she is playing is Hotline Miami. That song is a banger from the 1st level. People in the live comments were saying PAYDAY which is totally wrong. Makes sense you could still have a working vita, 19 years later, Apocalypse happened in 2012 post vita release. They would be super rare tho, Ellie should have totally nabbed it.
Another WLF member also has a Vita in the area where Abby gets a Burrito with Manny. Maybe they found a stash of them somewhere when looting Seattle.

Watching this for the first time in 2024 after the Remaster came out. God, am I glad I avoided all trailers and the leaks and everything after the big E3 2018 trailer and gameplay demo and pretty much went in blind when it launched in 2020. They showed so so much. Wouldn't have wanted that. I seem to remember that this super long look into the game was a reaction to the leaks and rumors. I still to this day not really know what was in the leaks.

Tbh it was even before that because there’s nowhere for the plot to go without what happened sparking the agency for other characters. Game of thrones did the exact same with Ned stark, another beloved main character at that point killed to set the story in motion and galvanise different characters. It was the only way to go for TLOU especially with how fractured ellie and Joel’s relationship was after the first game.
